I want to learn how to make a webpage but I'm finding this webmaker extremely difficult. Please help. The instructions don't provide much. I added simple text and that was it. I do not know code. Is this program only for people who know code? I'd like to add images and create an entire webpage.

If you are trying to use Thimble then yes, you need to know basic HTML to do the editing, to add images etc. But if you are using X-Ray Goggles, which is another tool in Webmaker, you don't need to know how to code at all! Its as easy as it gets. Here's the link to it, incase you haven't checked it out - https://goggles.webmaker.org/ Maybe you could learn some basic html tags and how they can be used in web pages. Then you are good to go. Hope it helps.

what you can do is that, you can pick up a template and you'll see comments beside codes enclosed in either /* .... */ or . These comments will tell you what will happen if you do something with the codes, just play with the codes and it's fun!

If you're non-tech and still wanna have fun with Webmaker then you can share your knowledge with Popcorn Maker(https://popcorn.webmaker.org) or you can re-mix your fav site with X-Ray Googles!

Have Fun!

If you want to learn HTML, CodeCademy.com has a pretty decent tutorial that will walk you through most of what you need to know. The lessons are very simple, and interactive.

A web search for "html tutorial" will bring up tons of other sites with HTML lessons too, if you want to look it up and compare your options.

I taught myself pretty much all of HTML and CSS in only a week or two, it's not too hard to pick up. And it's very useful. Good luck!

If you want to make your own webpages then you have to learn some basics about HTML. You can learn it from www.w3schools.com and also from https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element and if you want to add images then use eg. after knowing a little about HTML you will love the Webmaker Tools. Keep Posting your doubts.
