crashes after inactivity
Trying to provide some feedback. Firefox 30 (and Cyberfox, Waterfox) would crash after a period of inactivity (maybe 30 minutes or an hour). This was consistent for several weeks now.
Tried a reset, safeboot, running without all plugins and extensions. Was a bit better, but still crashed.
I do not have a real time virus protection, but I did start several services in the past few weeks. I went back and shut those off. Have NOT had a crash since. Those services are for:
IMFservice for IOBIT
Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit Service
have not yet had the time to go back and try them back one at a time, but thought I would mention that the crashes may be a result of firewall controls (not in my case), or perhaps some windows services that are not normally turned on.
-Thanks

First off, uninstall anything related to IOBIT on your computer IMMEDIATELY. That company is known for making low quality programs that will damage your computer.
After that, you should have a real anti-virus on your computer, I suggest http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security-essentials-download
After doing that, do the following:
- Update Windows
- Update to Firefox 30
- Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL
- Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware
- http://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/
- Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings
If Firefox still crashes, please let me know.
Are you aware that Firefox keeps track of your Crash Reports? See - Viewing crash reports Best place to start troubleshooting.
One other thing - with so many Mozilla-based browsers installed do you know if any of them are using your Firefox 30 Profile? If so, that in itself could cause problems. I know that PaleMoon has its' own Profile, because I have it installed. But what about Cyberfox and Waterfox? I don't use either of them, so that is something you should verify.
