I permanently deleted all my emails in my inbox and all the folders underneath is there a way to get them back? Can you force a download to this computer, [redacted]@peoplepc.com, from say 7-9-26? I am hoping to God you have a back up.... I lost so much stuff that I need.

PRELUDE: I have Thunderbird (TB) Version 152.0.1 (64-bit)

I have 45+ email addresses, some at various different domains, 8 (was 10 yesterday) Email accounts with Shaw that was taken over by Rogers. It's been a nightmare. I now have TB working almost as it should, and am use to but, one account has issue.

I tried to format this so it's easy to follow, but more formatting is not available so please see the pictures attached. Pics are self explanatory, but in case, pic 1 shows 3 accounts. The address with issues is the middle address (fake-two (faketwo@there.xy). The other 2, fake-one and fake-three have all their folders.

ANSWERS to possible questions: I used a outside mail to send/receive to/from fake-two. It receives and sends Email.

Windooze 11. TBird 152.0 installed on June 20th. Now it seems like TBird is not displaying HTML emails properly. They are displayed but not at the beginning. The first line is sometimes just the bottom half of a sentence in the email (if that makes sense). I can't scroll back to the beginning. If I go to outlook and display the same email it displays fine.

Did something change in 152.0 to cause this?

trying to sort my inbox by sender to consolidate ones from a sender. found a solution but could not figure out how. said:

In my Thunderbird I have some folders with names printed italic starting with "INBOX". The folders are empty, so it's easy to delete them. After deleting I don't see the folders anymore. But after shutting down Thunderbird and starting Thunderbird again, the folders are back... How do I delete the folders to not see them anymore?? (see also attached screen print)

Have been using Juno Email Accounts for past 10 years with Thunderbird Email Client Program for downloading Emails off the cloud. It is now more difficult to make contact with Juno for Tech Support. To do Email one has to have an Email Address and Password ... THEN they need the Incoming Email Server with the Type of server ( POP, SMTP, IMAP ) . Long Story Short it is now Impossible to Install Mozilla Thunderbird onto Win10 Machines.

SIMPLIFY THUNDERBIRD IT IS EXCESSIVLY COMPLEX. I CANNOT EVEN SEE HOW TO MOVE MESSAGES FROM THE INBOX TO THE RELEVANT FOLDER IN MY LIST. I PERSONALLY BELIEVE FIREFOX AND THUNDERBIRD ARE OVERCOMPLEX AND NEED SIMPLIFIED. SIMPLES. WHY CANT I COPY AND PASTE THE VERSION NUMBER. BLOODY ARESHOLES . AS I SAID IT IS BLOODY OVERCOMPLEX. AT THIS POINT I AM CONSIDERING GIVING UP ON WHAT IS CLEARLY AN OVERCOMPLEX PIECE OF SOFTWARE THAT REALLY DOESN'T LOOK GOOD EITHER AND THERE IS NO OFFICIAL SUPPORT SO WILL HAVE TO LOOK FOR AN ALTERNATIVE. My wife has been using Thunderbird successfully for many years (and we also donate to Mozilla from time to time) - she's been using her email account ([edited] @frontier.com) for at least 15 years, even after it was transferred over to the Yahoo email server a couple of years ago. Also, she has Windows 11.

Just in the last week, she has experienced serious problems (messages duplicating themselves over & over, & then not being to get any more new email at all (last email she got was on June 28th).

We've upgraded to the latest version of Thunderbird, & I even completely uninstalled & re-installed Thunderbird. I'm at the end of my knowledge & tried everything I know. I'd even be willing to pay for someone's services if we can get these problems fixed.

when I delete a folder which is showing in a light color, message states folder is undouble. I delete it but it re appears when I log back in. How can I permanently delete the folder?

A few days ago I lost all of my saved email messages, plus "sent" emails, and "deleted" emails. I had important information stored there for future use. I am hoping to be able to retrieve it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Thunderbird 140.7.1 i have a subfolder called "purchases" which I add to on a regular basis. Suddenly no messages appear after May 2014 I have logged in directly to the mail server, and all the missing messages are definitely on the server. I have checked the local filters, none are set. I have tried properties/repair. I have tried removing ~/.thunderbird/xxx/ImapMail/mail.myserver.com.au/INBOX.sbd/purchases.msf

Could it be a problem with dovecot indexing on the server? all the other subfolders seem to work fine. It's just this one.
