I was attempting to import the calendar info from my old system to my new one, but the export/import of a .ics file did not work. It complained about information not being found. Then I tried copying the local.sqlite database file from my old system to the new one, that initially did not appear to work either :( Come to find out that the database cal_id fields did not match between my new system and the old one, so even though the local.sqlite file I copied had all of the calendar information, the prefs.js file on my new system was referring to a different cal_id. So I used a text editor to replace all of the cal_id's in the prefs.js file, with the cal_id found in the copied local.sqlite file, and now I have all of my calendar data available on my new system. You might want to make this know to your users, since my original searches on your support site did not present a solution that worked. :(

I've downloaded Thunderbird in office PC and on PC at home. Almost I working in office PC or web mail but when I open Thunderbird at home, all my email lost in web mail and it's happened for such times. Is it a setting problem?! or, if it will be happen if using Android version ?! Thank you for your kindly assist!

Using Thunderbird for my mail. ATT Yahoo is my provided. My ATT password is not allowing me to get my mail. I keep getting a message to re enter my password. Password does allow me to sign in to my att account.

I have been using Thunderbird for 20+ years, maybe as many as 30. Forever. I have moved my profile across several versions of Windows and multiple computers. There are files in the root of the profile with a modified date of 2009. There may be older ones in sub-directories. There are 18 folders and 125 files. I suspect a lot of this is clutter left over from earlier versions of Thunderbird. In the Mail folder alone there are several hundred files and folders excluding the WDSEML files and actual emails.

I'm toying with the idea of starting fresh with a clean install of Thunderbird and getting on the correct release channel but I don't want to bring along what appear to be hundreds or thousands of unused files and folders.

I there anyone that can identify what profile files and folders to keep and what can be deleted?

I'm using Thunderbird 152.0a1 (2026-04-22) on Windows 10 64 bit. When I click the "Get Messages" button or File > Get New Messages for > [my e-mail account] nothing happens. The only way I've found to check for messages manually is by closing and re-opening the program.

When Thunderbird "thinks" a message is Spam the spam option on the header is already grayed out, is it ok to delete it then and if it is learning what is spam, how come I continue to get spam email from the same senders?

I used to click the incoming Email and a box was highlighted for Reply? I have no desire to move from Windows 10. Why make it annoyingly difficult for older users?

This will make more sense if you look at the attached images first. If I create two one-hour appointments back to back on the same day--meaning the first appointment ends at the same time the next one begins (or with a 1 min gap), and then I look at my calendar in Week view, I'll see 2 full-column 1-hour blocks stacked one above the other as in the "1hr appt.png" attached. This appears to be the correct way it should appear.

But if the earlier appointment is only 30 minutes, they appear differently, as in the other image "30min appt.png". squeezed into two columns. I would like them to appear as a single, full column (as with the 1 hour appointments), which it does in the Day view.

Is this a bug? Can I change this behavior?

I have two email addresses on Thunderbird: [redacted] @gmail.com and [redacted] @gmail.com which I use regularly. Recently, when trying to open these accounts, I have found that I am unable to do so but that when I click on the Thunderbird icon, I get a mall box with various symbols on it, none of which helps to open my inboxes. I recently bought Windows 11 a Friend loaded 11 and Thunderbird for me! Not all of Thunderbird transfered, I'm missing 8 t0 10 separate folders and all of my Email address! Can you help me! Thanks Danny Dimperio

Recently my HP PC crashed, and since had its old hard drive updated to a new solid state drive. Basically I am lead to believe is was a problem caused by a security update from Microsoft. My old system was Windows 10, now updated to 11. A copy was taken of the old drive and I was advised that all of the apps etc could be accessed from a folder on my desk top. Not really the case at all. In the mean time I have manually added back all the apps etc that I would have been using. OK, my question is, I have downloaded the email account and set it up OK. Is there any way all of my old stored emails and folders can be restored and copied to my new OS. If not, I can survive. Probabley a good idea to loose some of the old data. Thanks in advance

is there any way old emails can be retreived after deleting them to the bin. I thought sending them to the bin folder still retained them in archive status, but trying to look back more than the 3 months current in & out boxes They don't appear to be there
