Hello. I have been unable to send email from one of several POP accounts on Thunderbird (v 115.18.0). I believe this occurred after Network Solutions changed the SMTP server for that email account. I am able to send email from my Gmail IMAP account setup on the same Thunderbird program on my PC. I have tried all the port and authentication settings for SLS/TLS and STARTTLS, changed/updated passwords, etc. I do not get any error messages, just never receive the test email I send to my other accounts. I updated the SMTP server on my iPhone mail app to the new NetSol SMTP and it works on that platform. I just cannot get it to work on Thunderbird on my PC. NetSol support said to delete account and start over which is not possible as it is my business email account. Also, the inbox is too large to back-up to an external drive. Any suggestions? Running "Mozilla Thunderbird v115.18.0 (64-bit)" on my Windows 7 laptop. I want the Inbox to display "Headers" such as "Date", "Size", etc. But I cannot seem to make this happen. Please help me. Thank you, Ron

I've been using TB for many years, and without warning, when it tries to down load my mail from the Proton mail server, it says it can't find the folder "Inbox". I've tried to "repair" that folder a couple times unsuccessfully. I've restarted the TB program a couple times, but nothing changes. The error shows up on the bottom "instruction line". I've gone through all my settings and find nothing amiss. Not sure where to go from here. -- Just noticed that I had about 80 emails in that Inbox folder that are now missing completely. Normally, I move read emails to there respective folders, and leave important ones in the Inbox for followup. One significant note here, is I'm still using Win 7 premium. And yes, I could not find anything in the "help" system that related.

I maintain a Hotmail account and copy traffic to my local system. Upon reboot Thunderbird shows some files from 2024 and no local folders where I stored all my re-directed traffic.

I've run some system / disk checks and no obvious problems.

Any thoughts besides upgrading to current OS etc? Is there a Thunderbird backup solution to move files away from the active drive to protect them?

I read the instructions on moving my profile to a new computer. The hitch is that on my current, Windows 10 computer, I’m apparently using a 32-bit version of Thunderbird. I only discovered this when I updated it (through Help) and saw that it updated to a December, 2024, 32-bit release. The transfer instructions state that there may be a problem if I try to use a Thunderbird profile from one version to a different version. To prevent that possibility, I either have to update my Windows 10 Thunderbird to the latest, 64-bit release, or specify the 32-bit install on Windows 11. Problem is, I don’t know whether or how I can update Windows 10 computer to latest Thunderbird 64-bit version. Can I? If not, will Windows 11 run a 32-bit release? Suggestions?

My late husband's oid Mac Mini crashed during a power outage. Firefox is fine but TB says that the inbox is being used by another something and to wait to use it. I can't open it. I keep this computer active because his artworks and videos are on it. And I feel that he is still here if his computer is. You can also reach me at [edited email from community support forum]. I need to get in. Should I just restart? Or will it take more? I do get Robert's email on my iPhone and it is coming in.

My mom needs help accessing her emails she had acs internet and had to cancel the service for 4 months and her email is X@ptalaska.net and she has the service again with acs and woukd like to have the back emails resent.

In setting up a new PC (laptop), I must make my password known to the software. But I cannot remember my password. On my existing, older, laptop, I saved my email password long ago i.e. I do not have to enter my password, on the older laptop in order to get email. I no longer remember my own password.
