I can receive emails but I cannot send emails with Thunderbird. When I try to send an email I get the error message: "Login to server smtp.office365.com with username info@mybusiness.com (not my real email address) failed". When I click on "Enter new password" nothing happens, the Window to enter the new password doesn't pop up just the same error message as above appears. Already tried everything I found in the forum as I see I am not the only one with this problem but nothing helped so far. Changed from OAuth2 to Normal password, deleted the OAuth and SMTP lines in Settings-Security-Saved Passwords but no difference... My system: Windows: 11 Home 10022631 Build 22631 (all updates) Thunderbird Version: 115.51 (latest version) Firewall/Antivirus: Windows Defender (all updates) 1.401.1565.0 Mail provider: Office 365 business (business email address: info@mybusiness.com) SMTP Settings: Description: name@mybusiness.com Server smtp.office365.com Port: 587 Security: STARTTLS Auth method: OAuth2 User name: name@mybusiness.com (see attachment) I hope someone can help me otherwise I have to use Outlook in which btw I can send emails and as well with my Gmail mail client so the problem is definitely with Thunderbird. Running Thunderbird 115.5.1 (64-bit) on MacOS Sonoma 14.1.2 (both are the latest).

After the Thunderbird auto-update, all email accounts show the correct number of emails, all email accounts are listed, but they do not appear in the viewing pane: it is as if I have no email! Old emails that had open tabs still show, just the main Inbox tab is blank: it is still a tab, but no name in it and is blank.

Went through all the threads I could find on this looking for a solution. Right click on the account does not do anything, and menus do not show Preferences. No filters are enabled. Rebooted, no improvement. Went through every menu item in the pulldowns: most are greyed out.

I installed recently Thunderbird 115.5.0 (64-bit) on my laptop running Debian 12.

I have a problem with the font size settings in the message view.

By default, the font size is very small. I can increase it by tuning in the top Menu. Tuning the Font size to 26 pt I get a readible text, see Picture 1. When I move to the next message, the font size becomes small again. Picture 2 shows when I moved and came back to the same message. The menu is shown, and the Font Size appears to be 26 pt in both screen shots.

I have set layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to -1

I have a userChrome.css, but it does not fix the font size in the message view. I wish I could know how to do that!

Thunderbird 115.0 on Linux/Debian is unable to verify and install addons from website. It just freezes when I try - and cannot even manually install addons that I download using Chrome. I even totally deleted all files and folders and reinstalled Thunderbird 115.0 from stratch... what happened?!

I found that after total removal - if I install a earlier version... that I can verify and install addons, but not with version 115.

I also found that I cannot import profiles from zip or even uncompressed folder. I confirmed the profile is less that 2 gig (1.2 gig) - so size of the profile should not be a problem.

I have used Thunderbird for 20 years but suddenly my emails will not send. I have tried all outgoing server settings options as per information from iinet and thunderbird but nothing works. IInet are refusing to acknowledge any fault and have said it is a Thunderbird issue. I'm just the user caught in the middle without being able to run our company email and want it fixed.

I have attached error messages for all options I have tried.

My profile is on the laptop but how do I take a copy of her profile, install it on my laptop without deleting mine and be able to switch between the two deoend8nh on who is working on the laptop?

I have to right click on the link, start my browser manually and paste the link. I've tried it with Firefox, Edge and Chrome (preferred) and none of them work.

When I changed my computer, only two of my five accounts would add. I have been doing without them but now I need them back. Please help me see why I can't add these three accounts. I am running Thunderbird 115.5.1 (64-bit) The accounts that I am having trouble with are .sbcglobal.net accounts. The ones that work are a .Yahoo.com account and a .gmail.com account.

Some messages get duplicated in my outlook.office365.com Inbox. They both have the same date, time and content.

Deleting them deletes only one of them while the other becomes an empty message marked as received on December 31st 1969 at 7:00 PM.

Quitting and restarting TB make the duplicate / empty message disappear.

While this duplication is not very frequent, maybe 1 in 50, the following behaviour is constant. This has never happened in my Gmail Inbox. The duplicates appear only in TB, not in the Outlook web client. I have been using TB since a week or two.

MacOS 14.1 / 14.1.2 TB 115.5.1

I use Thunderbird mail-client to acces my outlook.dk - account. It has run perfect for a period, but suddenly I cannot send e-mails !!

The error-txt is (translated from my danish version): Sending the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to the SMTP server smtp.office365.com timed out. Try again.

I expected that that a password should be entered before sending - but no ..... - only a long waiting periode and then the error-txt

Server-settings in Thunderbird are: IMAP-server: outlook.office365.com, IMAP port 993, IMAP-crypt.: TLS SMPT-server: smtp.office365.com, SMTP port 587, SMTP-crypt. STARTTLS, Auth: General password

This has troubled me for some time - help needed, thanks.

Right now the definition of clientId, scopes, endpoints are hardcoded here: https://github.com/mozilla/releases-comm-central/blob/master/mailnews/base/src/OAuth2Providers.jsm

Do you have any tip to add our own server definition without needing to recompile Thunderbird ?

I saw previously it seems to be possible to append definition via this hack; https://thunderbird.topicbox.com/groups/addons/Tc85dff9ce12063c6-Mca4319b1e41dfa4b426e22fc/extension-to-add-custom-oauth-provider but now ChromeUtils.import() exports only EXPORTED_SYMBOLS which contains only getters functions

Another manner could be to improve https://github.com/mozilla/releases-comm-central/blob/master/mailnews/base/src/OAuth2Providers.jsm and add function where a plugin could append new definition Do you have any suggestion, better idea ?

My nephew, who is very good at technology since that's his job, did change my Inbox to 'imap' from 'pop' as that's the direction my server, Spectrum (aka Charter) has gone, so I'm receiving messages. I"ve called Spectrum twice, but they haven't been able to help me, as their people aren't well versed in third-party servers. The 'Send' is still a problem, which he thinks is something going on between Thunderbird and Spectrum's server. Please advise. Thank you.

Other times it can be off by several listings. Also whatever it opens is not a normal listing but has a lot of url links. I haven't seen this before...
