Why is the text in tab names, address bar and menu boxes so small? I did the changes to about:config and the other one that comes up when I googled this question but, while they enlarge the text in those places, they make the page content too big.

I've had recent security issues and have had a couple actual breaches. Having two accounts so similar to one another caused some unnecessary confusion during a panicked burst of changing passwords. Can we merge them?

Hi, this is going to be a long one, so many things... Using Firefox the latest Ubuntu LTS, with the latest Firefox from Snap. I'm a very long term Firefox user, never had any real troubles unit recently. I have a vast number of cookies, saved passwords and so on. Reinstalling or deleting cookies or such isn't an option unless fixes are guaranteed to work - if I have to start over then I'll do it with Opera, that is where my grumpiness indicator is at.

The set up is two monitors (working as a single 'screen') attached to an Aspire PC (Aspire X seems to be the model?). I tend to have 'stuff' going on in the left hand monitor, YouTube on the right. The PC is on all day. I know there are log files, but I don't know which is for what or where they are. I use AdBlocker Ultimate.

So what's happening is: Firefox crashes quite often at any time - 'Firefox is not responding - force quit or wait' - always have to quit. There doesn't seem to be any repeatable way to cause this, it seems random.

When the mouse enters the YouTube window (the drawing area, not the actual window) it disappears until the pointer moves out of the window. Jiggling the window size sometimes brings it back, but...

When the mouse pointer actually appears the window is completely unresponsive - clicks don't work, nothing highlights and so on. After somewhere between 10 and 30 seconds things will work for 2 or 3 mouse actions (clicks, drags etc) then do it again. Unless I give it plenty of time, clicking on a video will play a pretty random one - Firefox seems to lose track of where the pointer is.

If I comment on a video the I get about 5 to 10 characters in then nothing happens for 10 to 20 seconds, then any queued characters are shown. Rinse and repeat until the comment is complete - it takes ages.

YouTube is the biggest problem, but there are some glitches in other Firefox windows, I'm supposing that the problems are audio/video related.

None of the above happens with Opera. It's getting to the stage where Firefox is unusable.

I've googled and searched this site but the there seems no solution.

Any help appreciated.

I have been unable to receive the OTP I need to log in. My username and password work fine but then I try to get to the OTP, it doesn't show up on my email and the cell phone number is an old one. Please help. I have a lot of shopping to do.

I am trying to switch from Google to Firefox, but I still use my Google email. I uploaded my contacts from Google to Firefox, but I am trying to edit my own contact info in Gmail contacts, but when I click the edit button, nothing happens. Do I need to edit it in Firefox, and will that edit migrate back to Gmail? Why can't I edit it in my Gmail contacts (in the Gmail right-hand toolbar), and it will update my Firefox contacts automatically?

If you are going to require "A" file type, fucking say what type it has to be and provide a converter or screenshot tool! I Tried .Docx and PDF. Word does not save to PNG or JPEG so they are not an option.

AT THIS POINT, I AM STRONGLY RECONSIDERING SWITCHING FIREFOX!!!!!!

I don’t understand what Firefox is doing. For example, I used to start typing the first few letters of “weather.com”, which I visit pretty much daily, and it would auto fill “weather.com”. Now it auto fills every time with http://www.weatherbase.com/. I don’t know where that came from. Similarly, I used to type the first few letters of “duckduckgo.com” and it would bring up “duckduckgo.com”. Now it brings up a magnifying glass below the url with “Search with duckduckgo”. I am thinking it might be best if I can start over, i.e. clear out any information it’s saved about where it thinks I want to go, and start remembering the sites I am entering now.

Hello when i am on facebook,and i want to do a video chat or a call chat it now tells me that video or voice calling is not supported by this browser,yet it was all working fine about a week ago and i went to do a video call two days ago and now i can't,i have no idea what has happened regards mark

Firefox seems to forget edits made to text boxes. I was reading a large pdf and adding notes to previously made text boxes. I thought I must be going crazy as I saw there was no notes I thought I had already made multiple times so I tested it. I edited a text box, scrolled a bit and continued browsing on another monitor. Checked in a minute and boom edit gone. If anyone has a solution I'd appreciate it as I have been using Firefox PDF editor for a bit and quite liked it until now.

My Mozilla Firefox Web developer tool keeps autonomously toggling on/off in any Firefox window/tab..

Its as-if I'm repeatedly hitting Ctrl-Shft-I (which brings up the web developer tool in the bottom 1/4 of the browser).

I've checked all Setting, turned off all hardware acceleration as suggested for similar flickering problem (which wasn't on anyway).

I use Norton 360 Security Software but have Norton Safe Web disabled. The only active Extensions are Firefox Multi-Container and Firefox Sideview.

Its not doing it at the moment, but I'm not sure exactly what triggers it and expect it to happen again.

Last time it happened I was browsing Amazon. Hitting Ctrl-Shift-I only makes is turn off until start scrolling again, etc.

I don't think its virus related, because I use Norton 360, and Task manager "Performance Tab" show the computer is generally very mellow.

Please help, as I love Firefox, but this problem can drive one crazy.

I'm considering switching to Firefox for my primary browser BUT once I log in to AOL to check my mail, the print is tiny and cut off top and bottom of each letter. This is not a new problem, but I'm using Firefox more now and still have to use another browser OR another device to read my email. I am attaching a screen capture of what it looks like.

I have used Firefox as my default browser. However, when ever I click a link in my outlook email...it opens the page in MS edge. How can fix the issue and ensure the page opens only in Firefox.

This randomly happened over the past few months but last couple days it's bad. The Google Sheets cells I have open on Firefox turn black. You can scroll and they will come back but just briefly and back to black. Very annoying as these are shared sheets for my business with other employees. It's not happening in Vivaldi Browser or Edge. I hate Chrome so not even trying it there but guessing it's fine. Seems to just be Firefox all of a sudden. See pic. Help please as I have no clue what's causing this.

On my Macbook Air M1, Firefox's UI and default scaling is perfect on my Retina display, but if I move the window to my external Philips 1080P monitor, some - but not all - interface elements are very over-sized, which makes Firefox unuseable on any external monitor I connect. (I have tested this with multiple other monitors)

I have made Firefox my default browser, and set Google as my default search engine.

I'd like to keep it that way, BUT ...

Every morning when I come to work and open my browser and begin to search .. Yahoo comes up .. or Bing ???? I delete them, and again set Google as the default ... BUT FIREFOX CONTINUES TO REVERT TO YAHOO, or BING SEARCH RESULTS  ?!?!?!?!?!?

Even when I deliberately open Google and search in Google .. the results appear and then suddenly, a new window pops up with Yahoo results, covering up the Google results????

How can I make Firefox respond to the default search setting I choose????

This is intolerable. If I can't get ride of Yahoo and Bing and all these other inferior search engines, then I'm going to go back to using Chrome.

Whenever I try going on to a multiplayer (e.g. .io) game website it will not let me access its server. The website itself works fine and I can access it but as soon as I press play or anything else it just says 'disconnected' or 'trying to reconnect to server'. please see if you can fix this as I couldn't find anything to resolve this problem do anything.

I try to sign-in to my KP.org account and I get a white page with the message (Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.) I called KP and they said there was nothing wrong with their site. I added the URL to the cookies exception list with no result. I tried to paste the exact URL of the sign-in page into my bit-warden and it said it exceeded the 1000 character limit. I can sign-in on Chrome, but I prefer to use Firefox. any ideas?
