Hello - there are add-ons for Amazon, Google, Facebook, EBay and Twitter - none of which I added - showing up on the Firefox browser as running during browser start. I can see them when I use CC Cleaner. They are browser plugins set to run upon start up. I can disable them but need to do it every time, as there is no way to delete them that I can see. I would like to find out why these plugins are there and how I can delete them.

I have been using Firefox for years with no problem on a 64 bit Windows 7 machine, i7 processor, 32 gigs of ram. Firefox is version 103 64 bit. I have Kaspersky Internet Security and Malwarebytes installed and have been using them with Firefox for years.

A few days ago Firefox just stopped loading any pages. If I go to a secure site (https) I get "secure connection failed". If I go to a non-secure site (http) I get "The connection was reset". Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome work on this machine with no problem. Oddly enough Mozilla Thunderbird also stopped working today. Only Mozilla products seem to be having problems.

Firefox works fine on other Windows 7 computers in my household.

I tried clearing the cache. I tried disabling extensions. I tried running it in Troubleshoot mode. I tried the "Refresh Firefox" option. I tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox.

None of these worked. Even a clean virgin install will not load any pages. It seems to be something specific to this machine that's preventing Firefox from working. What can I do to get Firefox working again?

I have followed the fixes. It will work after I "Refresh Firefox" but goes back to not working again. Should I reinstall Firefox? How do I add this site to the exceptions? Thank you

Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.

We can’t connect to the server at www.cdc.gov.

If that address is correct, here are three other things you can try:

   Try again later.
   Check your network connection.
   If you are connected but behind a firewall, check that Firefox has permission to access the Web.

I hope this email finds you well. I am a long-time user and fan of Firefox, and other open source projects. Firefox is a fantastic internet browser!

Having said that, I was shocked and dismayed at what I encountered today. I was doing some tests for screen-reader usability on a website, and I came across the following:

The Firefox team is advertising screen-reader add-ons for Firefox, which don't seem to exist. I don't think the recommendation here should be: take down the advertisement for the Firefox native screen-reader add-ons/link to them, these seem to be really important for accessibility, and the Firefox team seems to acknowledge this. :)

There is some other missing piece - maybe there are Screen-reader add-ons for Firefox, and they aren't being linked to? Maybe the wrong tag is being used? (The auto tag that is used in the link is "screen reader"). Maybe there aren't any, and this is an area that needs some additional attention?

Anyway, I just thought I should bring this to your attention as making our internet accessible to people living with blindness and loss of sight is extremely important.

Everytime I try to do a search in Firefox I get a Manuals Library page come up. Why is it doing this? I did a search not long ago for a user's manual for a product, and I guess I accidentally downloaded this Manuals Library. Now I have no idea how to get rid of it. There is no shortcut on my desktop for it, I cannot find it anywhere in my downloaded programs in Uninstall or Change a Program in my Control Box. I DO NOT want this program! Help please!! At some moment I´ve got a pretty big sessionstore file (6,6 Mb) which does not load properly. I´ve tried a few of FF versions and settings. My current version 103.0.1 64 bit loads it for few minutes and crashes when tabs appear. Some older versions loads it but after that have various problems with program interface: new tabs sometimes won´t open, no float tips when I´m hove cursor over tab header and so on. Also in such cases browser often crashes and not update old sessionstore file. I have 16 Gb of RAM, FF takes up to 5,5 Gb before tabs appear for moment and FF crashes. I have such big sessionstore file earlier (for example, 24.07.22 it has size of 6,5 Mb), but all worked fine. Maybe there are any internal setting that I have to try?

I am not a geek and I follow all the details of 'how to etc etc' but nothing works and the phone goes into random loops and keeps telling my I cannot sync (I KNOW that). Firefox has no phone number or email system for technical support (or any type of support) just this hit and miss system of 'forums' (or is that fora). I tried to send a bug report but I am NOT signing up for another (geek speak) account just to send you the problem. Please fix this issue - it never used to happen on older versions - how can I roll back my firefox to something that works properly?? Since version 98, Firefox still saves files in the designated Downloads folder, even if I just want to open them. This new behavior keeps cluttering up the Downloads folder with unnecessary garbage. What I want to have in there is what I choose to download myself, not some temporary files. That's what the Temp folder is for.

The problem https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1370409 is marked as closed, unfortunately with no fix. Will anyone be addressing this yet, or do users have to get used to it?

I, after a few months, chose to switch back to version 97.0.2 I will no longer accept updates regardless of new security patches. Unfortunately.

A brand new ThinkPad P71 windows 7 sp1 FF 101 All other browsers I use work ok. On an older machine that I am trying to replace, FF 101 works ok. So it is something in the system settings, but I had no luck this far.

Some web pages contain data split into pages and provide something like "Previous 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Next" at the bottom of each page. One example is https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/products/firefox?as=u&utm_source=inproduct#search I would like to be able to move between pages without using the mouse using a keyboard shortcut.

Is there any way that Firefox could simulate a mouse click on a particular element and link this to a key?

I can play videos and audios on another browser or files stored on my computer, but just now I cannot on Firefox. I saw the FAQ explanation about Windows 7, but I have been using Firefox for years including just hours ago using Windows 7. Why would this happen right now? Did some new version just get installed? If so, can I return to the prior version and turn off the automatic update?

Running v104.0.2. (UK) Whenever I have an 'email box', I get an autofill email address appearing I wish to delete. When I highlight the address, and hit 'delete' it doesn't work. On searching a method, I get the suggestion to go into settings and drill down in the 'Forms & Autofill' section in 'privacy' settings, but my FireFox has no such section.

I then tried to 'activate' the section by going into 'about:config' and changing 'extensions.formautofill.available' from, 'detect', to 'on', it made no difference, I still have no 'Forms & Autofill' section in settings.

How can something so simple be so complicated?

I've tried every suggestion of removing "Other Bookmarks" and all failed miserably with this new Firefox, it is ticking me off, why Firefox creates these irritations for its members is beyond me, no wonder its popularity is shrinking. I need a new solution that works for mercy sake, I am at the end of my rope with this issue.

When I click on an article or any link in Outlook, I get an error message that says, Your organization's policies are preventing us from completing this action for you. For more info, please contact your help desk. I'm not an 'organization', just a user and obviously there's no help desk to contact, so I thought I'd reach out to see if someone might have a solution to this problem. I have already made sure that my default programs are set to Firefox for my browser and Outlook for my email and made sure all the defaults are selected. I have also run a full windows scan program which came up without any errors and I have run a registry scan that fixed every identified error. I'm still getting the same error message and the only way for me to open up an article or a link from an email is to 'copy hyperlink', open up a new tab in Firefox and select Paste and Go, which is driving me nuts and wasting a ton of time. I don't know what else to do at this point. I did find a document on the internet that has what it says is a method to resolve this exact error message problem, but the instructions are specific to Internet Explorer, not Firefox. I'm hesitant to find those same tools on Firefox (which is quite possible, though some of them are in different places on Firefox than they are on Internet Explorer). My concern comes with the fact that the final step will 'reset' every setting to it's default condition, so it seemed like a good idea to try to get some expert help before I perform such a drastic action. Also, I'm also making the assumption that if I did do a complete reset, I would be able to restore Firefox back via my most recent System Restore and it would bring back all my customizations, browers add-ons, personal settings, home pages history, cookies, privacy settings, etc. - but I'd like someone to weigh in on this. Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
