When I click on an article or any link in Outlook, I get an error message that says, Your organization's policies are preventing us from completing this action for you. For more info, please contact your help desk. I'm not an 'organization', just a user and obviously there's no help desk to contact, so I thought I'd reach out to see if someone might have a solution to this problem. I have already made sure that my default programs are set to Firefox for my browser and Outlook for my email and made sure all the defaults are selected. I have also run a full windows scan program which came up without any errors and I have run a registry scan that fixed every identified error. I'm still getting the same error message and the only way for me to open up an article or a link from an email is to 'copy hyperlink', open up a new tab in Firefox and select Paste and Go, which is driving me nuts and wasting a ton of time. I don't know what else to do at this point. I did find a document on the internet that has what it says is a method to resolve this exact error message problem, but the instructions are specific to Internet Explorer, not Firefox. I'm hesitant to find those same tools on Firefox (which is quite possible, though some of them are in different places on Firefox than they are on Internet Explorer). My concern comes with the fact that the final step will 'reset' every setting to it's default condition, so it seemed like a good idea to try to get some expert help before I perform such a drastic action. Also, I'm also making the assumption that if I did do a complete reset, I would be able to restore Firefox back via my most recent System Restore and it would bring back all my customizations, browers add-ons, personal settings, home pages history, cookies, privacy settings, etc. - but I'd like someone to weigh in on this. I am desperately trying to recover lost tabs from Firefox Browser after 2 crashes, freezing and forced shutdowns. I need the tabs for my work, and as usually happens, this has occurred at a time when I'm running to meet a critical deadline.

I've tried going to history, but the "recently closed tabs" option was greyed out:-( I've tried searching for other solutions, but cannot fine any that fit my situation. I'm not an IT expert - I know my way around what I need to use (i.e. professional worker), so clear & simple explanation would be much appreciated.

Can I recover the lost tabs from backed up data or a previous system image? My system is Windows 7, and I'm currently running Firefox version 115.0.2. All suggestions welcome!

I cannot turn on the audio input and the audio output in Discord web application when running Firefox for desktop PC. The advice from Mozilla Support knowledge base regarding how to enable microphone did not help, since there is always no access request from discord.com detected in "Preferences" -> "Privacy & Security" -> "Permissions".

I am using the latest version of Firefox (94.0.1) on Windows 7 SP 1 and Windows 10 20H2. In Discord Support knowledge base the app is claimed to support Firefox version 80+.

Dear Sir I went to an organization on 21/03/2022 for assistant on an issue, in processing the matter I need to open my yahoo mail box for the relate documents within my mail. A lady who assistant me use her lap top computer to open my mail box - I enter my pass word, then a window camp up to asked if I want to save my pass word (with dark color) or not,(with gray color) I was in a stage of rush I just click on right top Conner 'x' she took her computer to other room ( in where I can not see ) I was too naive and don't know if all of my mails had been read by them? - It is my privacy. When I got home I was worried and at next day I changed my yahoo mail pass word. As my pass words are saved within Firefox when I want to open a site it is auto fill the pass word. 1: Is my pass word will saved in that lady's computer? 2: Although I have changed my yahoo mail pass word is it safe? Can that lady able to get to Firefox to see my saved pass word and open my email box? - explore all my emails? Please help I am really worried. I look forward to hearing form you soon. Thank you. If I have Mozilla Firefox open for a period of time, if posting a link, or refreshing it's as if there is no internet connection.

Web links in other tabs have no problem, only Tumblr.

Closing out the tab which Tumblr is in and opening a new tab and inserting the link produces the same result as if there's no internet connection.

The only way so far to rectify the problem is to close out Firefox, then restart. There also seems to be a delay in Firefox closing. When I click on the Firefox icon to open it, a pop-up appears that Firefox is already running, would you like to close it?

Hi. Is there a way to customize the order of Firefox headers and footers on printed pages (including print-to-pdf)?

I prefer the header to be url only, in the center. While the footer has page on left; title in the center, and date on the right.

This used to be easy to accomplish with print options in older versions, then -- as the print dialog changed (and actually improved a lot in most *other* ways) I had to turn to about:config modifications like those described in the 1/27/21 reply here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1323433. But now I can't seem to find any way to have any control over print headers besides "on" and "off."

One problem I find with having both page title and url on top is that these can be long, causing one or both to be truncated.

tell me whether i can find a window i closed today having multiple tabs, using "history" and recently closed tabs/windows (both). i especially want to be able to restore the tab for Institute for the Study of War and its companions. i hope you are warm and rested.

to do my regular research, i have lost three or four (or more) windows with multiple tabs, as a result of my reorganizing tabs. i think of each window with one of its tabs, so these would be, "Emma Loop" (which includes all federal court districts tabs and related info); "Kyle Griffin" (which includes various journalist/news tabs); "emptywheel" (which includes various journalist/news tabs); and other such similar windows whose name ID i don't remember.

restore scares me because it will apply to bookmarks.

i recently began migrating from twitter to mastadon, and wanted to add my regular tabs to mastadon. i moved tabs to keep track, but it seems the tab's parent windows disappeared. i cannot be more clear, because i had a total of about 15 windows with multiple tabs EACH. i regularly exited the program to install updates and because of my settings, all the windows/tabs were saved correctly. this is a great feature.

it takes time to create a window with multiple tabs, and i don't have much of a brain, so it's hard for me to learn new stuff. maybe we can work together to clarify what i need. i just want my "lost" windows/tabs to return to the others so i can continue going forward. i blame this guy - the "new twitter owner" - who has even made changes to UKRAINIANS' account performances. thank you.

since today firefox wont load any websites out of troubleshoot mode. not even settings/ about:config. if i open a page in a new tab it just stays blank and nothing is happening.

in troubleshoot mode i turned off hardware acceleration - nothing changed after restart. i updated the runtime file "Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022", which is suggested in different help-posts, i deactivated all addons, i created a new profile and also tried an imported one from eralier today - so far nothing has worked.

i also reinstalled firefox with version 99/ version 101 two times, after i cleared %APPDATA%-data.

im also just using windows defender as antivir.

please elp, i'm out of ideas.

I am using Firefox 108.0.2(32bit) on a Windows 7 computer. Within the last three weeks two sites Menards.com & aarp.org have become blocked by security rules: Menards by Incapsula & AARP by Imperva. All other websites I currently visit work fine as did these before. I've cleared cache and cookies and "forget these websites" in history. This solves the problem for the first page on Menards.com but any link-click and the problem returns. This also cleared the AARP website but I cannot log in to my account there nor access some of the other clickable links. I can access these websites fine on other computers on this network using Firefox. This computer will access those two sites using the portable chrome browser but not the installed Tor browser. This computer will not access these sites using a VPN or with AVG disabled. I've toggled a few DNS and HTTP settings with no effects. For a year, the only thing I noticed different from this computers and the others is that this one continues to allow Java to be updated whereas the others are unable to download its update. Could that be the problem? Why these are the only two websites that seem to be affected is the baffling part. Menards has thanked me but has not gotten back and AARP wants me to reinstall my operating system. Thanks for any help you may suggest.

I have been using Firefox and GoToMeeting for years, suddenly this month (July 2023) I get the following message when I try to open a GoToMeeting session”

“Sorry, this browser isn’t supported. Join in your browser by opening the link below in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.”

I don’t want to use either of those browsers.

What can I do to keep both Firefox and GoToMeeting?

Lost power. Computer shut down. Reopened Firefox and no passwords. Looked in profile and there are 4 files logins.json.corrupt (149 kb) all created today at same time and 1 file logins.json (2 kb). I ASSUME my passwords are in the 149KB json file? If I delete logins.json (2kb) and rename one of the 149KB to logins.json, when I reopen firefox, it just does it again: renames logins.json to logins.json.corrupt (149kb) and creates a new logins.json (2kb). Is there anyway to recover these passwords? Windows 7 Latest version of firefox

I just upgraded firefox to v 113 64 bit with windows 7 ultimate. Now when I watch youtube in fullscreen there's a border around the screen. i don't use picture in picture and it isn't on yet the border won't go away no matter what I do. Please fix this or i will use another browser. i will include a screenshot from youtube in fullscreen mode look at it.

Hi, I have spent hours this morning trying to diagnose a problem with Firefox Update 115. It is Unstable and I can't Stream Music from Youtube or even Amazon Music. Web pages from sites I use everyday are out of order when displaying text as well. It's a real mess. Now, here's the kicker, I haven't been able to stream my music from both aforementioned websites, but get this, if I use the Incognito Browser, Music streams No Problem. Seems like you guys broke something in the main FF browser. I have spent hours trying to debug this and have concluded that your most recent Update has broken streaming links. I can't rollback the Update and that is even more frustrating. Please Fix This. BTW, your Help Pages really stink. Sorry, but they offer no help when the problem is clearly FF. Firefox crashes whenever I paste something in search bar. Even if its one word only. It has been like 3 months now and no help. It even crashes in troubleshooting mode. I have reinstalled and refreshed, but it helped only for a day.

I can't for the life of me understand what is going on with my browser. Everytime I try to watch a video that I have purchased I get this error message:

"Firefox is installing components needed to play the audio or video on this page. Please try again later."

I have tried searching for a solution but no avail. I have disabled and re-enabled DRM, bit it was a no go. I tried re-downloading firefox, still had the same issue. I created a new profile, still won't work! I have been searching for solutions constantly and tried so many but none seem to work. Finally someone suggested that I check my extensions and App data and I saw a sign that said:

"widevine decryption module provided by google inc. will be installed shortly"

but it has been almost a day and it still hasn't been installed. In advanced preferences I looked up widevine and saw this:

so firefox I am logged out, you can tell where it say "save and sync - sign in". but even though I am not signed in, my passwords and addons are still showing up.

I have followed the fixes. It will work after I "Refresh Firefox" but goes back to not working again. Should I reinstall Firefox? How do I add this site to the exceptions? Thank you

Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.

We can’t connect to the server at www.cdc.gov.

If that address is correct, here are three other things you can try:

   Try again later.
   Check your network connection.
   If you are connected but behind a firewall, check that Firefox has permission to access the Web.

Hi, when I log into my bank I give my account number and then a password. I have told firefox not to remember my password but it is remembering the bank account number which automatically pops up when I am on the banks log in page. How do I stop this? Also when I signed up for this firefox help it asked for an email address and all my email addresses poped up for me to chose from. I didn't like this either. Appreciate any help. If these features can't be turned off whats the last version I can use that won't do this? cheers Neil

Various website that contain dynamic content are not being rendered by Firefox to display that content. This is happening with websites that provide transportation information and ticketing, including Amtrak and Peter Pan Bus Lines . It is also happening with a genealogical website, FamilyTreeDNA, on pages that should be displaying family tree information. Illustrations of two pages are attached. I have been able to access the information by using Opera on this same computer and operating system, and by using the same version of Firefox installed on a different computer with different operating system. I am not sufficiently proficient with website development to know or understand what type of dynamic content is being generated by these websites, or how Firefox interprets the content. My suspicion is that some Firefox setting has been enabled or disabled, but I do not know which one it would be.
