Firefox 70 added a new tab button to my installation. I had been using CSS that got rid of it nicely up to this point. But now it is showing up and I cannot figure out how to make it go away. This is what I had and which worked:

 #TabsToolbar .tabs-newtab-button { display: none ! important }

Any ideas?

Firefox 70 has made the tab hight taller, and now they overlap the window frame on my computer (Win 7). How do I get them back to their size in Firefox 69 and stop them from eating into the frame? CSS is fine.

With the latest update, the following css tweak to disable the creation of new tab when middle clicking the empty tab bar area no longer works.

This along with the shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+P to open a new private window are features no other browsers have.

With version 70 the flashing flickering url box in the bottom left corner has returned, even though the CSS that worked to kill it in earlier releases remains in mu userchrome.css file. The CSS that worked before is

    opacity: .01 !important;
  }

and someone more recently used

#statuspanel { display:none !important; }

but neither of these are working for me in Version 70. How do I get rid of this? Thanks.

I've noticed that the "chrome/userContent.css" file doesn't effect the homepage anymore, but I'd rather do it through an addon. Is it possible to inject css into firefox's default homepage?

Since updating to version Firefox update 70, the tabs at the top of the screen seem to be longer. This has covered the + button to add a new tab. I've tried resetting everything in customise firefox layout tool. I'm using the default theme, or dark theme, as provided with firefox. I tried each density option and they made no difference. If this isn't happening to everyone, is there something I can do to reset to even more default appearance in order to make the button visible properly? I know I can open new tabs by menu or hotkey combinations. My display choices include showing title bar, menu and bookmark bar. I have only Ublock Origin, Foxy Proxy standard and zoom image add ons.

Suddenly my search bar lists only 7 (was 6) of about 20 search engines. The command "Change Search Settings" appeared on the same line as the 6th listed engine so that clicking on it summoned that search engine. Now "Add Mozilla Support" appears on that line and the other command appears on the same line as the 7th engine.

After updating to Firefox 70.0 (64-bit), the search suggestions text size in the "search bar" became smaller (refer to included image). Is there any way to make the text larger? Thanks for reading!

Is there a way to change the background in Firefox to an image of my choice?

Since updating to Firefox 70, the tab bar is shown even if there is only one tab (it just shows the + button then). Previously, the bar was hidden if there was only one tab. This previous behavior may depend on some setting, but I don't remember if I changed any setting for that. Have *no* Add-ons installed that affect tab visibility.

How to restore the old behaviour that tab bar is hidden if there is only one tab?

I am on Firefox 70.0 (64 Bit). When I am on websites in fullscreen mode, the tab section appears when hovering on top. Is there any way to disable this feature? I've already tried the chrome.css solution but didn't work for me.

This solution https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1171243 still leaves a narrow strip under the navigation bar. Is there a way to get rid of it as well?

Previously, I would use this code snippet in userChrome.css: [#PopupAutoCompleteRichResult {display: none!important;}] Then, starting with version 68 it stopped working and I found out I had to change it to this: [#urlbar-results {display: none!important;}] And after Firefox updated to version 70 it quit working.

With FF71 there is a new horizontal bar occupying space on every page. It is the light green bar in the attached image; it changes colour, of course, if I revert to the default theme. How do I get rid of it?

Can someone help me edit the CSS to disable the feature of middle mouse clicks on the empty portion of the tab bar opening new tabs? The new update broke the CSS again and it's really frustrating using Firefox as I have a bad habit of constantly clicking the middle mouse button.

Hi all, Is there a way in about:config to change the tab font to be bold? Or to change it to a font that is automatically bold (like Aharoni, for ex.)? Thanks! PS, if this requires a css file, I will have a LOT more questions, as I have never written one of those and being somewhat elderly, have never taken a computer course.

Got updated to FF71 and my Tabs which I had moved under address bar got moved back above the address bar. (Had moved them under by creating userChrome.css file which no longer works) Is there anyway I can get the tabs again to display to under the address bar? It's just so confusing with the tabs on top. I appreciate any help!

The above pretty much sums it up. I at least have tabs on bottom and haven't done any coding in 40+ years but I'll try some tweaks but would really like the above mentioned buttons back.
