what does a separate tab titled "about:policies#documentation" mean please? It suddenly started showing up as a 2nd tab whenever I open Firefox (Win10) link: about:policies#documentation

Hi there

since a few weeks it happens daily that by accident I transfer a tab into a new firefox window obviously by moving/clicking the mouse quickly in a way that leads to this new window. then I need to copy the email adress, close the new window and make in the original window again a new tab and paste it there and place it on the right spot. not really handy... not sure what changed in firefox since this did not happen in the past. did there change sth or how better said how can I avoid that this is happening, can I lock tabs that they will not get a new window. does someone know this problem? I HAVE SYSTEM RESTORE ON MY FIREFOX. When I purposely restarted my computer, for an unknown reason, a session came up but my previous session did not automatically restore as usually it does. I did something in that window and was thinking about something else and deleted it, ie: the session. OH S _ _ _! Just lost my restore previous session opportunity..... I opened another session (and restore previous session was grayed - not available) and have not closed my session nor re-started since. Is there any other way to go back and recover my lost session windows and tabs? .... not from the previous session that I accidentally closed, but from the session before that? Thanks in advance. For last few weeks whenever I open a new web browser in firefox the screen display now open slightly off screen with the top having moved up (and also a little to the right) making the scroll bar barely visible and tabs not visible. I can grab and move sometimes but it has become a consistent problem and I do not know why. Nothing has changed that I am aware of. How can this issue be fixed? Thank you

I just downloaded Firefox on my new PC (laptop) but for an unknown reason opening a link in a new tab doesn't work. Opening a link in a new window doesn't work either, and opening the link in a new private window does not work either. It is getting frustrating to say the least, as I've never encountered this problem before and I have no idea what to do. :)

When i switch on my computer i have to make sure that i open Firefox and restore the previous session before i do anything else.

For example, if you click on a link in an email - and if Firefox is not open - then it will open Firefox and you have lost access to your previous session tabs.

Yesterday, when i switched on the computer Adobe wanted to remove a program - so i uninstalled the program and then it opened a page in Firefox so i lost 50 tabs. Sigh.

SUGGESTION As well as having the option to restore the previous session could we please have the option to restore the session before that? I think this will make a lot of people very happy.

I was just about to hire someone to do this work on upwork or fiverr or the like when I did a search and confirmed that my saved passwords are also stored in this file. I have tried Everything I can find to get my 90 megs of tabs back, which a stupid verizon hot spot network log in screen crashed and I am just about at the end of my rope. I

have been through hours and hours of fooling with this. Already tried this site, https://json-csv.com/ pro version, this site https://www.jeffersonscher.com/ffu/scrounger.html and the firefox add on moz-extension://8fb59157-3fd6-43ac-982e-f27264d2874f/app/app.htm and a few other tools that are outdated or don't work on my system.

PLEASE, I will pay someone who is officially from Mozilla if necessary, I just need my tabs back.

Hi. I would like to restore my previous session when I open Firefox (last version of the browser installed). The option is turned on, but nothing happens when I close the browser and I open it again. The support says I should see "Restore previous session" after "New Private Window", but this option is not there. In the history, the list of recently closed tabs is always empty, there are juste one or two links in the recently closed windows (it seems to be a random list). Can someone help me ? I don't understand why it doesn't work. Thank you :)

Firefox unexpectedly quit, open tabs lost when MacBook Pro's charge died. After charging, did restart since Menu button to access History was missing (only menu bar visible). It returned, but unable to restore closed tabs (as I've done in the past) - History shows it to be "empty." I've spent hours searching Mozilla Support...can anyone please help? These 8-10 tabs must be somewhere!

I'm trying to use a custom start page on new tabs opening (not happy that I have to use an extension for such basic functionality btw) but my service worker does not seem to activate or used when opening. Opening a new tab takes multiple seconds.

Navigating to the site (I have my start page hosted on AWS) on an existing tab is instantaneous, as is refreshing this page once the tab is loaded. So what gives? As far as I can tell Firefox doesn't install service workers on a per-tab basis, so there should be no issue here.

In the plugin "facebook Container" I have made a new "tab category" called "social media" with a blue sign. The problem is that firefox continues to open FB in the old category even if I delete it, which is also very hard to do as I have to close all my FB-tabs to be able to delete it in the options tab. Next time I use firefox or a few days later firefox has again undeleted the old FB category and again opens my FB tabs in black tabs instead of my new blue tabs. I can´t use my own new tab category as long as the old one is there and it keeps comming back after I delete it. Very annoying to say the least! Please fix this error as soon as posible, thank you.

When I open a tab, I get this notice: "Open Network Login Page": "You must log in to this network before you can access the internet."

When I close that tab, I can proceede as normally.

If I click on that button where it says "Open Network Login Page," I get another screen where that button is gone, and it says "You must log in to this network before you can access the internet."

I have 5 pinned tabs lately, and many unpinned (20-100s). Recently one of the pinned tabs, Twitter specifically, has been unpinning itself at random(?) intervals. I can re-pin it just fine, it's just a little odd. None of the others do this.

I am running with Tree Style Tabs and per-site Containers (but not Twitter or FB specific container extensions). And other extensions like ABP and NS, but I doubt they relate, while these might?

FF developer edition 83b10 64 bit, on Win10

Started today and only the Bing page showed up. Tried restoring session, nothing happened.

Searched for sessionstore-backup could find nothing. I am using the latest version of Firefox. Is there a new name?

I want to take and store a session backup as I often work with 20-30 tabs open.

Is it me or have things changed somewhere?

Windows 10, newest version of Mozilla Firefox.

When I right-click and open a new tab from a website, it will open at the end of similar websites.

For example, we use Canvas for school and I might have a Canvas webpage open, and say LinkedIn open to the right. If I open another Canvas tab from the original, it will go to the right of the original canvas, and to the left of the LinkedIn page. If I right-click and open a third canvas tab from the original, it will open to the right of both of the current canvas tabs, but to the left of the LinkedIn.

I want to open the new tab immediately to the right of the current tab. I swear within the last year that is how it would normally operate, and I see the value in the way it operates now, but I personally want to change it.
