[edit] I was using my phone to post this question and inadvertently posted it to the android forum. This is a DESKTOP question.

I'm trying to sync my tab groups across my desktop/laptop. I have sync enabled through the settings and I've checked every box, but I don't seem to see an option for syncing tab groups specifically. It syncs all of my bookmarks and active tabs, but the groups seem to be unique to each device. Is this feature available? I might be looking in the wrong spot so if anyone has any insight that would be great! Cheers

Historically, I remember when you open the `sync` sidebar and right click on the tab grouping (i.e. Firefox on iPad), it opened a context menu where you had the option to `open all synced tabs`. This seems to be missing from the latest version of Firefox (138), but wanted to check in to see if I'm missing something or if I should downgrade my version of Firefox to get that functionality again.

Firefox is installed on my desktop and on my cell. How can I get my cell to show all bookmarks that I have on my desktop? I already synced a few times but no change!

Today when I powered on my pc and opened up firefox all tabs were lost.

I have the option to retain tabs when opened up enabled.

I could not find them anywhere, so I had to search opened tabs from the other synced devices and click on each of them, and create again all the tab groups.

This is a big problem if randomly all the tabs can get lost, am I doing something wrong?

Another thing : I thought that when I create groups of tabs, and save them I coul retrieve them across all my synced devices, but the other devices can not see those groups, is this a normal behaviour?

Running Win11 on desktop PC. Sync option offers QR code to scan but Firefox on android does not have sync scan option on settings. Despite instructions to contrary, that option is not listed on mobile. Yes I'm logged in and yes I have synced previous versions of firefox

Hello, I received an email from you asking me to change my Firefox password for account security reasons. When I changed it, all the data synced in Firefox with my email was deleted. This upset me greatly because I lost important data and saved websites. Please restore the deleted data. Thank you.

I see a list of the my seven devices that use FireFox in the Connected Services list. I want to restore the data from my old phone onto my NEW phone. However, there doesn't appear to be a way to sync only the data from the old phone. When it syncs, it get the data from one of my 4 PCs. Can I select a data set to restore to my new phone?

I installed Firefox on my new computer. It imported setting from Chrome. That's not what I wanted at all. Now, I can't get rid of that information that was imported because it synced. How do I get rid of this data permanently? I have Firefox on my old computer but I don't want to connect online for fear it will sync and contaminate my other Firefox installations. Hi everyone, I have looked through previous answers and the one suggested changing my mozilla account password, will this still delete data synced to the server? I tried signing out my account but that doesn't delete synced data. I want to keep the data on the computer, just remove it from the data from the server.

Respectable, I’m having trouble with Firefox Sync, particularly related to backing up and recovering my bookmarks, history, and saved data. I want to ensure that my data is properly backed up and can be recovered on a new device or after reinstalling Firefox. Hi there, I just got a new work laptop and tried to sync my firefox browsers so I could keep my passwords and bookmarks from my old laptop. Unfortunately I forgot my password, so I had to reset it on my new device. I logged in again on my old laptop but it's still not syncing or updating the bookmarks on the new laptop. Is there any way to move my bookmarks and passwords over to my new laptop? Thanks!

I am seeking clarification and assistance regarding saved login details that appear in my Firefox browser, both on my laptop.

The situation is as follows:

At some point in the past, I mus thave attempted to access the Plenty of Fish (POF) dating site via the app on my iPhone. Alhtough not presently active, my iCloud account shows a history of the app being downloaded, and stored in the cloud.

I do not recall ever completing an account setup or using the service, but when I check Firefox on my laptop, I can see a username and password saved under Privacy & Security settings for POF.

I am trying to understand whether these saved credentials could have been synced between my iPhone and my laptop at the time of the attempted registration, meaning that they were stored automatically even if I did not intentionally log in on my laptop.

My specific questions are:

Do the Firefox saved logins on my laptop and my iPhone interlink automatically if Firefox Sync is enabled? (i.e., would login data entered on my phone app/browser be stored in the Firefox passwords list on my laptop?)

Is it possible to determine whether the saved username/password for POF was stored via the iPhone app/browser rather than being typed directly on the laptop?

I belive that if login attempts fail due to a non-existent or corrupted username/password, Firefox still store the login attempt details (username and password) even if the login itself did not succeed, can you confirm this? Is there a way of telling which it was failed/sucessful

This is a sensitive and personal matter, and I would greatly appreciate your guidance and any clarification on how Firefox may have stored or synced these details.

I have purchased a new computer and do not want to loose the info in my Mozzila account. How do I install the old account to the new computer? Old computer has windows 10 os new computer has windows 11 os.
