Hello Techies, facts are these: Firefox + HTTPS Everywhere on Linux, updated once a day. I connect to my webmail, Yahoo.com, and often the padlock turns to grey+orange triangle. But https is still present in the URL bar (by the way, I've set browser.urlbar.trimURLs to false). So I try and refresh page (F5), positive result only every now and then. I tried and switched to Basic display (I guess it should be lighter), positive result only every now and then. I feel I can't do anything to fix this annoying and weird lack of security. This "instable green" only occours connecting to Yahoo. When I connect to Facebook, GMail, YouTube or whatever I do NOT have problems at all. No difference using a normal, super updated session rather than a Live one (as I'm doing right now). I've written to Yahoo Help Community to explain as above and I was told it depends on the way Firefox "sees" Yahoo, and to ask You. Thanks a lot... To me it actually IS a Yahoo problem (not the first time, though...), but still I ask you whether you can suggest how to fix the problem or you know more about it. Many thanks and best regard. I use firefox for work and use only certain sites and this message is really annoying, especially for intranet sites. So, I really want to know how to totally disable this security type of checks.

I already spent to much time and this, I don't want to do debugging or stuff like that, I just want to totally disable any check for "untrusted sites" and yes I am fully aware of the dangers, attacks etc.

And actually I find it quite annoying that Firefox blocks me from accesing something I want. Warnings are OK, but totally blocking me, not even "I understand this, add exception ... bla bla" is not kosher.( the error is sec_error_unknown_issuer)

I have had this issue for 3 days now. I am unable to access yahoo mail or yahoo in general because I get warning potential risk ahead message. I had to make twitter account to be able to get in touch with yahoo support but they just offered a yahoo link which, of course, I am unable to open because of "potential risk ahead". I tried solutions suggested by people here at mozilla support, like clearing history, cache etc but it didn't work. I also tired accessing yahoo via internet explorer and chrome (installed on my father's laptop, windows 10) Of course same message appears. I am using windows 7 64 bit. I also tried Edge and of course it says yahoo site is not secure. I have never had these kind of problems before. I was always able to access yahoo via FIrefox and other browsers. It's really damn annoying because i see no solution to this damn crap. Also I am unable to upload a 170kb screenshot to show you the issue. Just keeps loading and loading and it doesn't stop. So I guess I will just have to describe it:

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

I am trying to load YouTube, Wikipedia, and some other websites but I ended up with "Insecure connection". None of these are bookmarked pages, so https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1181480 does not help, as it is about search engines. Note that the websites I tried to visit are all HTTPS websites, but HTTP websites work.

I just noticed that I was carrying a cookie from google. I run a strict cookie policy and I had made, previously, an exception to "allow for session" cookies for books.google.com . I noticed today, in a completely new session, that I was carrying a google cookie for " .google.com ." I have tried to delete this cookie several times. FF "acts as if I deleted the cookie. I close the cookie GUI and there it is again...just like now...

I deleted the exception for books.google.com closed and restarted FF, looked at cookies and there it is again! What is up with that? Just typing this message in, I have deleted and found "reborn again" this cookie. I don't want it. I do not want to delete "all cookies" as some are the core of my security policy in managing my websites. I have tried typing into the cookie GUI "google.com" and set to "block" and it is there (the block), I have also set a "block" for .google.com and the cookie reappears.

So what is going on and why doesn't any of the usual methods work? Is there still some "hidden" crossovers between google and Mozilla? I know Mozilla has cooperated with Google in the "safe browsing" area, and from local appdata folder I see an many "goog..." files.

Do I have to turn this off to get google off my computers cookies?

I use Little Snitch which shows Firefox allowing connections to 8 IP addresses that, for not seeing a reason, I blocked in LS. Nevertheless, LS lets about 10% of those connections through, so I police and disconnect. On the net, I found that those IPs belong to Level3 Communications which has a bad rep among some. I contacted the Little Snitch people who advised that I was wrong & the real owner is google (not really an answer to why their program lets through even after I've blocked). But here's the thing -- I use google ONLY for e-mail; I don't want to place my computer at their disposal for anything else. SO, should I continue my blocking campaign, or let the eight IPs through. My concern is Privacy and Security.

i am trying to reset my mums browser. it opens everything as a secure page. the same happens with IE 8

it mistrusts every page as the certificates have errors on them. or it says they do.

i am running win XP and i have reinstalled firefox just in case.

my internet connection is mobile broadband with blink. ( see www.blinkit.net.au ) need more info? ask and i will provide it if i can find it.

All personal certificates for loggin on sites doesn't shown - empty storage. Sites saying "You have no certs installed". When I import cert from backup and enter right password I see window "Alert! ... imported successful", but no cert appears at "View certs" - Personal. When I do enter wrong pass importing cert I have an error (so ok).

On one of my computers when I open firefox the master login requiring me to type my master password has disappeared. But when i go to any of my sites the passwords are in use as if I had. This means anyone with access to this computer can access any of my secured sites. How do I fix this.

The user identification request box changed from Firefox 52 to 53. I use a smart card that has multiple certificates, and it is now very difficult to distinguish one from the other when a request is made. In 52, the type of certificate was displayed in the certificate drop-down box. Now in 53 the only noticeable difference between certificates is the serial number, so I have to scroll down in the details section to determine if it's an "e-mail" or "id" certificate.

Is there a way to have the type of certificate displayed in the drop-down box, or change the size of the user identification request box so I can see the relevant info to distinguish the certificates?

What is this, is this FireFox, is this something I should try to get rid of? This has never happened before and have had Malwarebytes for years and FireFox for years, what gives?

I mistakenly downloaded an extension believing it to be a genuine Firefox one. It takes my to myemailxp.com Now I have a dialogue box which tells me my extension has expired, asks me to renew it, and prevents me getting into the browser. I just want to get rid of the extension and get back to basic, English, Firefox. How do I do this?

when I update mozilla, the next time i boot up my computer I get the message dead_pool_header. the only way for me to get windows to start up again is to restart my computer in safe mode and reboot my computer to a time before I get the update.

I do not want ANY history of where I have been to show. I cleared my history and checked that it not show anything. But I just noticed, that recently closed tabs show where I have recently been. What is the point of clearing my history or having is disabled if recently closed tabs shows where I have been. This is crucial for someone who is having their account monitored by someone else. How do I delete recently closed tabs and is there anyway to disable that?
