What happened, All my important bookmarks are missing. I have had to log into every account I have, No saved passwords. Really upset. I need help to restore all this information that I need

Unfortunately I now have Windows 11. My bookmarks have just disappeared today, so how may I restore them? I understand that Firefox stores my bookmarks, so can I restore the same bookmarks when I had Windows 10?

after my laptop crashed (again did so over 100 times) but this time all history is gone, could not restore last session/s - can't log into my accounts (any) - can't set it to an earlier date (e.g. yesterday) to eliminate whatever the problem is (am not an IT expert, so I don't know how - just know that it is possible) - I have tried for 4 hours - no avail - I really need the status of 4-5 hours ago so I don't lose so much

Hi folks, I restarted Firefox today on my Macbook and now the Restore Previous Session option is no longer working. I've tried the Sessionstore fix described here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-restore-browsing-session-backup but it is not doing the trick. I've used it multiple times in the past and it has always worked up until now.

I've since opened a couple of new tabs and then shut Firefox down to see if the Restore Previous Session will bring those particular tabs back. However the Restore previous session remains greyed out. I suspect it may be to do with the latest update to 149.0.2. I downloaded and installed that two days ago, but only restarted this morning so I think the update would have been done then. Are there known issues with this update, and is a fix coming? I use the most up to date Firefox program. I needed to reinstall windows from scratch so backed up my files using the Firefox Backup option. When i try to restore the files, it restores only 2 bookmarks, 1 called Learn More, and another, a folder called How to Restore, and in it a book mark called Download. The bookmark just takes you to the Firefox home page. I dont know what to do.. there are bookmarks I need, so hope someone can help. Attached is an image of the file Firefox Created.

I had an ongoing problem with Firefox on my PC - it worked correctly on my laptop. So I backed up my bookmarks using MozBackup and re-installed Firefox. This didn't have the Bookmarks bar so I enabled that. When I now try to restore the bookmarks using MozBackup it reports everything ok. But when I open Firefox the bookmarks are not there. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I woke up this morning and opened firefox. Normally it opens the days previous tabs and this morning it didn't. When I tried 'restore recent tabs' it didn't do it. When I went into history and found the previous day's back up and tried to restore it also failed. Can you help?

some STUPID profile pop up occurred .... please choose .... I did than I LOST ALL of my browsing history and bookmarks !!!!! How do I recover ????????????????

Hi, there.

After performing the most recent Firefox update, I was greeted with the "create a new profile prompt", rather than having it open my old one. When going to "about:profiles", ALL FILES in the Root Directory of my old, default profile have the same date as the update, or after. Not a single file is older than that and all my history and bookmarks are gone. The option "Restore Previous Session" was not shown after the update.

PLEASE HELP!!

PS: This happened on a Macbook Pro. All other profiles are the same as they were before the update, having kept all history and bookmarks.

I am moving to another office and i want to completele remove my firefox data frome this device and i want to access the same site data and history in amother device this is not smartphone nut Desktop PC so How can i move this current brouser data to another new pc?

I hope you can help me. My Dell laptop crashed, I had to restart the laptop with a Microsoft recovery key. When I opened Firefox I had to log in again with my password. Firefox told me that the password was wrong, I am not sure if I typed in the Firefox recovery key as well. I changed my Firefox password. When Firefox opened my bookmarks were gone and I can not find backup file when following the Firefox 'import bookmarks' link in the bookmark bar.

This has happened several times in the last 4 months or so, it had never happened prior to that and I've used Firefox for years. It now occurs when I open Firefox after my computer has either been shutdown, or the computer does a restart. I am signed in to my Mozilla account.

I put in my bookmarks under my name and create sub directories for different groupings, like Canadian news, solar etc. The bookmarks within the subgroups stay for a while. I cannot say for how long. Sometimes a day sometimes longer. The bookmarks disappear and are replaced with what I would call the global network symbol. This has never occurred in windows 10 of which I still use. It appears to be an issue with windows 11. Please any help would be useful. It is getting extremely annoying having to replace the bookmarks all the time.
