When going to a site with FF, 90 which has partial secure information FF still allows access even though the site is not completely https. this should not be allowed HTTPS only should work if the site is completely compliant with HTTPS.

The example site is https://www.brampton.ca//en/online-services/pages/bramcams.aspx

If you click on one of the camera images with "https mode in all windows only" set, no image is displayed and the icon suggest HTTPS but the site is only partial https.

With "https mode in all windows" no configured you get the secure lock icon with the exclamation. see enclosed.

Mozilla has no true feedback page any more, so I chose to post here. I kept the "Allow Firefox to install and run studies" box unchecked since I began to use the Firefox browser (years ago). While I was researching a different issue, I found other users' posts about app.normandy. They all said that it allowed Mozilla to do what Mozilla promised not to do: run studies in violation of users' preference to opt out. Based on what I learned from those posts, I found where app.normandy was in my computer's about:config and toggled it to false. I want to thank those other users for their posts. Mozilla's explanation, also according to those posts, is that "Normandy is a collection of servers, workflows, and Firefox components that enables Mozilla to remote control Firefox clients in the wild based on precise criteria." Aside from whether or not Mozilla should be remote-controlling clients in this way, does it really consider all the diverse places in the world where its users live to be "in the wild?"

Hi everyone.

Thanks in advance for your help, and apologies if this question was covered elsewhere.

My graduate school uses Duo for authentication. When I log into the intranet on my laptop, I'm prompted to send a "push" notification to my phone. There's the option to "remember this device for 30 days", referring in this case to my laptop. But even when I check the box, I'm asked again to authenticate via phone each time I use the intranet on my laptop, seemingly despite having sought to "remember this device" previously. This is inconvenient, as I'm frequently without my phone.

How can I get the "remember" feature to take effect?

Again, thanks for your help -- and apologies for any indelicacies in my attempted description of the situation.

Tried to open my email <myxfinity.com>. After installing Password Robo___ (can't remember name of extension); told to create "Primary Password." Followed instructions, created easily remembered phrase + symbol & registered. Now when I try to edit old myxifinity login, asked for Primary Password. Entered what I just created, & won't accept it. "Please enter Primary Password." Now can't access email, which worked just fine before activating Password Robo(whatever). PC dead for a week, repaired yesterday, just accessed successfully this AM, one biz turned down THREE credit card charges. Android hacked into last week, Lively CS gave me wrong instructions to reboot in Safe Mode; ditto Googling "Restart Android in Safe Mode." Scammers put malware on my phone--can only run in Safe mode, in which no apps/no texts, no access to internet. PLEASE help!! TIA

Hello.

90.0.2 (64-bit) on Ubuntu 20.04.

I noticed a lot of activity from my desktop computer to various ip's at bc.googleusercontent.com whenever I start, visit sites, or shut down firefox. I know this because I'm watching the tcp stream with tcpdump | grep 'googleusercontent'

This ONLY happens in Firefox not chrome or other browsers. Seeing this is a fresh install with no addons, tweaks, etc. I'd like to know WHY a fresh install of Firefox phones home to some googleusercontent user. See below snippet of logs:

Hi all,

Recently, everytime I go to download a file, firefox is sending my download to my "temp/local" file and I can't retrieve my downloads. I don't think I changed anything on my laptop, it seems that one day - it just switched to sending my downloads to my temp/local folder.

Does anyone know what is going on and how I can return this back to letting me "Open the file" and then "saving" it to my desktop - like I previously was doing?

I've been on google checking everything...but I felt like I wasgoing down a rabbit hole and changing this and that - and I'm afraid it might make things worse.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks.

Kelly

I am sat in front of a PC for most of my day. Firefox spends most of its time minimised while I use document and video applications. On average the Primary password login box will activate over everything I am doing frequently - by frequently I mean 2-3 times an hour or more. It is annoying and nonsensical. What am I doing wrong or is this simply a flaw in firefox? In my imagination at least it makes sense for it to ask me for a password when I want to use a password restricted domain.

Version 90.02 D.O.H. unwanted change

I then performed an update to 90.2 directly via the update notification instead of the direct download and found that D.O.H value changed from cloudflare default to an unknown cira canadian shield.

Why would the default setting change to a unknown Canadian D.O.H. provider when I have a US version of FF installed on a upgrade? See enclosed.

I updated FF to version 90.0.2, & it now keeps asking me for my primary password. I've tried resetting it, & rebooting Windows 10 Pro X64, but nothing seems to help. I don't actually have to do anything, except hit Cancel, but it bothers me that FF is glitchy.

No software additions, system is stable, running Sophos anti-virus

Any ideas? Thanks!

I was using an unprotected wifi for about 3 days and now I have unknown programs running and sometimes commond prompt boxes suddenly poping up and dissapearing. I'm nolonger using the computer and I'm changing all my passwords just in case. (not getting FF to remember them)

But there are unknown usernames and passwords in my synced passwords. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/930340 Does this mean the hacker has all my FF passwords and can access it anywhere and anytime if I change them is sync? Should I make a new Sync account?
