Everytime I open firefox i have to enable Picture-in-picture in settings, because it somehow gets dissabled everytime i close out of firefox, its annoying and I dont how to fix it, and cant find anyone else having this same problem.

since firefox 133.0.3 i can no longer use video controls in youtube. youtube video controls (scrolling an sound volume) work when youtube is in firefox picture in picture mode. when picture in picture is disabled in firefox settings youtube controls still not work.

thx for forcing me to use a feature i do not want. pls fix this.

I have been using Firefox since 2003. to avoid writing unnecessary words, I will simply state, I will leave firefox if you do not eliminate this problem:

firefox eats up all the RAM on my Mac. It is none of your business whether I open 1 tab or 10 tabs, give me the ability to limit the memory used by firefox, otherwise it eats up all the computer's memory.

I get bills in PDF form from my water and gas provider. When I pay the bills I use Adobe to add a "PAID" sticker and a comment indicating when the bill was paid, and then I save the PDF (from Adobe) with the newly added comment. Previously I was able to open these PDFs in Firefox and the contents of the comment (added via Adobe) was visible; however, recently when I used Adobe to add a comment to a PDF and then opened it in Firefox the contents of the comment were not displayed (NOTE: I opened the PDF in Edge and it displays the contents of the comment, but it doesn't display with the same wrapping as used when the comment was created in Adobe). Interestingly, older PDFs that I added comments to still open correctly in Firefox i.e. they display the contents of the comment. I am assuming there has been some sort of update to Adobe, and was wondering if there needs to be an update to Firefox to continue to allow the contents of comments in the PDF to be displayed.

When using the PiP feature is there a way to switch whether it pauses the video when closing the PiP player?

Often if i want the audio to continue but dont want the popout player there and if I press the close button it will just stop the audio. If I select the PiP window and use the shortcut CTRL + SHIFT + ] the audio will continue playing as I want it however this is inconvenient and requires using the keyboard, is there any way to change it so that closing the popout player doesn't stop the tab from playing audio?

Starting early this morning I could not open a website (where I purchase supplements) I have accessed in the recent past. I added the address to the DNS listing but that didn't help. In the verification lock icon in front of the address it says the connection is secure. But below it states the Connection verified by a certificate issuer that is not recognized by Mozilla. Prior to 1/22/25, I had no issues opening this or other websites. It doesn't matter if I have my VPN turned off or not, the website does not open. Was the Mozilla update of 1/22 the cause? If so, how do I rectify the issue I currently have? If not, how do I rectify the issue I have?

This question relates to version 134.0.2 (64-bit). This morning I started Firefox and found that many of my bookmarks were missing. On trying to restore from the program automatic backups, I get the repeated message "Unable to process the backup file." On examination, the files, while not in ASCII, appear to contain ASCII text strings recognizable from the bookmark descriptions. They are not, at least, empty. Unfortunately, I do not have an HTML format backup. Any idea why none of the backups work or what options I have? Thanks in advance.

I have twice 'repaired' Firefox, to no avail. After hours of Internet research, I've discovered the nature of the problem: it's called FirefoxCP Isolated Web Content. According to the many forums I've consulted, you're perfectly aware of it. So I don't understand : - why you don't take the trouble to reply to a user with a problem. - and, above all, that you're perfectly aware of the problem and don't do everything in your power to solve it. Hello all! Recently I have run into a problem when using the zen browser on my Fedora laptop that I have been unable to resolve despite my best efforts ... specifically, when I double-click on a web-site I have bookmarked and stored under "Bookmarks Menu" it does not come up unless I manually select a container to open it in. I am using Firefox sync so as to keep zen and firefox in sync in both my laptop and desktop and firefox on my Driod. I have reinstalled zen from scratch, I have signed out fo sync and tested, I have disabled my "Facebook Container" extention, and I have attempted to set a default container for the workspace I am in, but nothing seems to change the problem I am seeing.

Do you have any suggestions as to how I can simply click on on bookmarks and see the website without any further clicks [like I used to do up until recently]? Is there any additional info I can give you? Thanks for your time!!! - John C

I loved the picture-in-picture mode. However, when I closed the picture in picture mode, the video automatically stopped. Is there any ways where the video still plays even after I closed the picture in picture mode?

the pic in pic feature doesn't work. When I click the icon to go pic in pic Firefox opens a new full screen window with the video. I can't see any way to toggle it to be a small screen at the edge of the screen I'm working in.

Please advise.

Only hours after my previous use of the picture in picture function to watch YouTube via the mobile site on the app browser, the function suddenly stopped working.

It would play the videos when I was in other tabs, and with the app itself closed. However, as soon as I opened it as a picture in picture window, the video paused and refused to restart playing.

This far, I have:

• cleared the cache
• force quit the app and restarted
• double checked that picture in picture was enabled (it was)
• made sure the app is up to date (it is) and compatible with my phone (it is)
• made sure the Video Background Play Fit was still enabled and up to date (it is)

None of these issues has resolved the issue. As the issue is specific to the play to play function, and is not effected by closing the browser or switching tabs, I believe it is an issue with the function, not the site.

I just started having an issue with my browser where every time I tab out of a tab playing media, the pop-out video appears on its own. It's quite annoying. How do I stop this from automatically happening?

I am experiencing an issue with the Picture-in-Picture (PiP) functionality in Firefox on Ubuntu. Unlike on Windows, where the PiP window automatically appears when switching tabs or pages, this does not happen on my system.

When I manually activate the PiP feature by clicking the button, the window does appear; however, it is placed behind the browser window and remains at the lowest level among other open windows. This causes it to be obscured by other applications and requires me to manually bring it to the front and adjust its position every time.

Hi! I had the experimental feature auto picture-in-picture when switching off a video tab enabled, and I liked it most of the time, but occasionally I'd like to continue playing the video while browsing in a different tab but not have the picture-in-picture popup. Is there a way to close the popup but continue playing the video in the hidden tab?

From what I can tell the close button always stops the video and the to tab button doesn't have any way of switching off the tab with an active video without the popup coming back.
