Newer Firefox ver's, 80.0.1 for example, don't seem to allow users to stop pestering sw update popups from being displayed throughout a single Firefox session. No means no, and not keep asking anyway. Has something been missed?

For some reason embedded videos on sites like the Washington Post and the New York Times no longer play in Firefox. I can click the triangular "play" icon and I see the spinning circle as if the video is loading but that never goes away and the window stays black. YouTube videos still play and I can still play videos on Netflix. If I load the same page in the Edge browser, the video plays fine. When I search Firefox Support all the help for video playback problems are old and don't apply to my situation (again, this used to work without issue). I'm running the latest version of FIrefox with Autoplay set to "Allow Ausio and Video" on WIndows 10.0.18363. Any ideas?

Ever since I received my bluetooth headphones (ATH-SR50BT), I've had a problem with the sound. Whenever I pause a video or kill the tab it's in (even if the video is not playing) all the sounds of my computer are muted. Simply changing my sound output and going back to my headphone resume the other sounds.

I've tried solutions for Windows and the headphone without success, and then found solutions that appear to work for Chrome (https://support.google.com/chrome/thread/8894867?hl=en&msgid=14396047) and Spotify (https://community.spotify.com/t5/Desktop-Windows/Pausing-Spotify-Playback-quot-Mutes-quot-ALL-Audio-Playback-On/m-p/4551102/highlight/true#M64084), hence why I decided to search for a Firefox fix.

Could someone help me ?

For internet service I have to use a mobile hotspot for my desktop pc. The problem is that the mobile hotspot ip address is about 300 miles from where I am. So doing a search, I get results for that area that I am nowhere near. How do I stop this?

Firefox has done some kind of update and has removed all my bookmarks, settings and all my passwords I had saved which were important and I don't know how to go back to the way it was. I have lost 5 years worth of stuff, including EVERYTHING I had saved that I needed for my studies. Someone please help! I'm not very tech savy, I did not click on anything for this to happen. My browser has done usual updates before and never had this issue. Please help!!!

I have windows 10 pro version 1803 . Firefox is the only browser I use. Suddenly all my jpeg files changed from pictures to html text. How can I get my pictures back and stop this from now saving all jpeg files as html files?

YouTube preview thumbnail images not showing in Firefox. This is a new problem that started roughly 12 hours ago. See attached screen shot. In Chrome everything is normal. See attachment.

I can print the page if I use Firefox's Open Menu (three horizontal bars at top right). But if I use Google Doc's print option, all I get is the save pdf dialogue. If I use Chrome (and not Firefox), then Google Doc's print option works correctly.

I have checked that my default printer is correct (in Ubuntu, the command is lpstat -s) I have been to the about:config page in Firefox. Although the help on the web says "older versions of Firefox use print.print_printer" I found that the information regarding the printer is listed with the"print." prefix (and they all show when searching "print.". However, there is no print_printer setting in the list. Manually adding a print.print_printer with string value of my printer does not fix the problem.

Currently, this is a game changer for me. At work we use Google Docs and Google Drive. I have been accessing these things from my Mac computer without issue. But I am now required to use a Linux machine. Does anyone know how to stop the action of downloading pdf's instead of printing them?

I had to reset my computer and lost my data, unfortunately I did not create a firefox account beforehand. Is it possible to recover that information or is it lost indefinitely. I managed to find some appdata information locally on my computer, but I do not know how to go from there.

Recently, I downloaded a userChrome file to make Firefox resemble an old version of Google Chrome. Everything looks pretty good so far, except for one issue: part of the first/leftmost tab always gets cut off, as you can see in the first attached image.

What I want to do is add a small amount of blank space or padding to the left of the first tab so that the full tab is visible, sort of like what I have in the second image (I took that image by dragging the tab manually, which I obviously can't do while browsing).

I also want to shift the rest of the tabs to the right by the same margin, so that I don't mess up the overlap pattern. How do I do this?

This applies elsewhere, I imagine, but my current problem is "apple.news" links.

I get sent these links but don't use them. (No interest in being under surveillance by Apple.)

I tried to set them up in Multi-account containers, so that I can send them to a ghetto, but at least try to use them. I found no way to do this. (I also found the interface clunky and unintuitive.) (I did find how you set a domain there but redirection is long past by the time you can do that.)

(I'm happy setting the Windows registry, designing configuration systems for programs, and the like so making setting is not a terror for me, please don't answer as if I'm a dufus in that regard. Thank you.)

Where do I make a configuration setting to force these containers to do what I want?

Hello, I would like to know how to remove 'other bookmarks' folder from the right side of bookmark toolbar that showed up suddenly on my browser, it's right after the arrows to show more bookmarks. I can't seem to find a way to delete this.

Top sites, highlights not populating after attempting all the suggested fixes. Antivirus disabled and checked, no change. Refreshed Firefox, cleared out cache. I'm out of options. I have only empty tiles on the home screen. Pocket tiles does populate.

I got a newer powerful computer & want to move over my 2 valid FF Profiles to the new computer. I have valid Profiles, but each time near the end while loading, they crash or do not load?
