Firefox nightly (trunk) 100.0a1 (2022-03-10) (64-bit) (but previous version too) is crashing the tab if the page contains video content. It happens also in "Troubleshoot Mode". It doesn't happen in 98.0 (64-bit)

System is Kubuntu 21.10 with wayland and PipeWire

I am unable to enable 3rd party session cookies, which are required for the Kaltura application, in D2L Brightspace for online education courses in Firefox Nightly 94.0a1.

I have tried Kaltura application specific, and my educational institution specific troubleshooting with no change. I have tried changing settings in Firefox Nightly's Privacy and Security Enhanced Tracking Protections and by Managing Exceptions in Cookies and Site Data with no changes.

On the webpage of my course material there is a message that reads: "It seems your browser is blocking 3rd party session cookies which are required for the Kaltura application. To resolve this issue, please update your settings to allow 3rd party cookies." under Course Tour Video

I have further troubleshot this issue by managing the same exceptions in Google Chrome where the content is working. I have retrieved the relevant content URLs from the Google Chrome browser Kaltura video and cookie info and used them in Firefox Nightly to allow all appropriate exceptions with no changes.

After all troubleshooting, I have took the step of clearing Cookies, Site Data, History and restarting Firefox Nightly with no changes on the course page and met with the same error message.

How can I resolve this, because I would like to use Firefox Nightly as my preferred browser for my course work?

Hello, I was trying to fix this issue on my browser but I was not able to do it. The OS is Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS 64-bit. Currently, I'm using Firefox version 99.0a1 but I had the same issue on version 97. Also, I have this issue on only one of my PCs. As I said in the subject: - The browser freezes the whole PC and I have to force reboot it. (I already disabled the hardware acceleration) - the recent download item open button does not trigger the opening of the folder. - If I try to download a file, the browser ask me where to save it. But if I try to download another one the browser shows me the directory with path /run/usr/1000/... I tried to delete places.sqlite but I received the same result. ... Initially when I closed a tab Firefox crashed but now I can't even open it, it crashes immediately. Hi guys,

My Firefox Nightly keeps asking me to download empty files with random names, e.g. ABC1234567.htm, they always have random letters and digits but the .htm extension is always the same. The files are always empty, 0 bytes. As far as I noticed, it happens when I navigate through pages, e.g. clicking on various buttons on sites or using the Back/Forward buttons on my mouse. I tried to lookup of what's the source of the files via F12->Network, but it did not show me anything related to this problem.

It happens on different websites even on the site coded by me, so that's definitely a browser/extension issue. I saw some posts mentioning this problem on Reddit but there were no solution/explanation.

Just now it asked me to download 3 different files in a row. I made a screenshot of this issue.

Firefox 103 Nightly, Win 10.

Just now I recreated my firefox login password and re-logged into the firefox account. After synchronization, I did not find my bookmarks and saved logins. Could you please help me troubleshoot the problem?
