Please help me get rid of the stupid and ugly Tab bar space on newest Firefox. I hate Tabs and now there is a big space above the address bar for Tabs. I have looked everywhere for a way to turn it off like it has been since Tabs came out. I only want new windows if I want a new window.

If I can't turn that huge space gap off is there any way to go back to what I had before the last update without messing everything up? Why did someone decide to make the browser window smaller and waste that space by making the browser bigger....

Sorry if I sound cranky but, I started using Netscape Navigator 1.0 and every version since and this is the worse thing that has ever been done to a browser... Thank you for any help you can give me!

Hi, Please advise if there's a fix for these 2 problem in about:config?

1. How to disable this childish highlight around controls like TextBox? Try to enter some chars by clicking (and not typing) on buttons here to see how bad is this: https://www.branah.com/hebrew

2. How to restore the separator lines between tabs above the address bar?

I hope I can fix these, don't wanna stay on 88.0.1 for a long time :(

Hey there ! i am working in hospital as Approval Coordinator using https://onlineservices.bupa.com.sa. Before sometimes Firefox was working 100% correctly, but after update , i cannot able to print the document correctly. scale feature is not scaling document , moreover please include some ruler option under print preview screen, so that we can adjust the print. i have been using Firefox for more than 15 years.

My PC crashed and when I try to open firefox I get this error

I saw this answer https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1303747 but I don't understand anything from it, English is not my first language. Will I lose my bookmarks and extensions? Do I delete the folders in program files or run the uninstaller? When running the installer there is an option to "restore default settings, remove extensions etc", should it be on or off?
I deleted the folder, ran the installer again and set the option to restore default settings off, and still can't open firefox. Can someone explain in simple terms?

I'm currently in my vacation home and I don't have home internet here. I'm connecting through my mobile phone using limited mobile data. and I selected not to download updates because it keeps updating itself like twice in a week and every MB counts in limited data plans especially if it's just 4 GB total for each month.

But now every time I open the firefox it showing download latest update popup like an annoying virus on the top right corner where 3 horizontal lines are located.

I checked the internet and previously this was an option in it's settings. Then this option removed and only hidden behind the about:config . and now it's completely removed from about:config either.

The only reason I switched from chrome to firefox was because google became an absolute dictator lately and all it's changes was to limit down my accessibility. I switched to firefox becuse it doesn't backstab it's users and they give the choice to it's users rather than dictating it like dictators. So did I make a mistake switching to firefox? Is firefox becoming just like chrome now? or is there (hoping so much) and option given us to turn off the notifications as well?

Today I updated my Firefox Developer Edition to version 89.0b2 and now I just can not look at this browser anymore, "Inspired new tab design" is taking too much space and now became largest and at the same time least information-dense panel in my entire desktop! I searched around the web for a bit in hopes that I will find a theme or an add-on that will revert this particular change but no luck. I really want to revert to old UI look (at least tabs bar), there should be default theme or option to get back to old style. After some investigation I found userChrome.css but don't really want to install it (maybe this is actually the way of doing this kind of styling). Please help me revert UI design to old one.

My Firefox just sits with one or two tabs open with the little dot rolling back and forth doing nothing for 4-5 minutes. While I'm getting emails and using EDGE right now!

Firefox 91 no longer remembering frequently used bookmarks how can I go back to Firefox 90 keeps updating although update is OFF then all settings and bookmarks are lost

Hi All. Recently went into the Firefox Preference Settings and there were no check marks on anything that I usually have them on, like: check to make sure Firefox is default browser, block deceptive sites, can't check mark any item in the Clear History window, nothing has a mark so I don't know if what I want on IS On or OFF. Hopefully someone of you can help me out with this. It will be so much apreciated. Thanks. Charlene

I thought my screen was locked. Then I checked another tab and finally realized it was the pop-up blocker on my current tab causing the problem. I was trying to manually hot key open a link (a news article) on the current tab (also a news article). The blocker was refusing this action. It would be absurd to have to unblock this action for each website when my intent is so obviously clear given a manual hot key open. Is there some setting I am missing? A change made to the code? I have never had this happen before.

I am using Firefox version 92. The screenshot function is not working, both if I right click and request a screenshot from the slideout menu, and if I request a screenshot from the shortcuts/overflow menu (scissors icon). I have attached a screenshot (taken with ‘prntscr” through windows) png of the result that takes place on my screen. The screen will freeze with this image of a large X until I do a refresh of the page. Cntl-Shift-S also does not work. I have tried clearing the cache, running FF in safe mode, refreshing FF, reinstalling FF, and I have ensured that the extensions.screenshots.disabled setting in about:config is set to ‘false’ (also toggled it to ‘true’ and back to ‘false’). I have attached a screenshot of all the settings in about:config that pertain to screenshots.
