I tried to update FF45.0.2 and a dialog box appeared saying new version of FF would not run on OSX10.8 and I must update OSX to use it. THis takes much time that i don't have now. Can I download ESR45 to extend the use of FF until I get time to update OSX? if the answer is yes ,what specificly do I download and how do I do it?

I seem NEVER able to update even though Firefox asks me to do so every other week or so. When I click on Update, I get the same visual that suggests an attempt to connect to the server. The attempt NEVER succeeds (at least not within 15-20 minutes).

I am running Mac OS 10.8.5 and Firefox 44.0.2

Since Yahoo changed their sign on process to two screens I have been unable to sign on using Firefox on the MAC. I can get into these accounts using Safari or using Firefox on my Win7 machines.

The sign on process just sits after entering the PW on the 2nd screen. It never completes the sign on process.

TIA for any suggestions to resolve.

i Had a Firefox Weave Account From Back in 2012, and now, i cannot access it. ¿ Where did it go, please.  ?

i Still have the eMail Address associated with my Weave Account, and i Registered with Weave in 2012.

Now, FF Sync says that i Do Not Exist.

All i get is this error "Unknown account. Sign up" at about:accounts?action=signin&entrypoint=preferences

Since 41.0 YouTube and Vimeo videos don't play even though the video controls show that playback is in progress. True for embed, Facebook, and YouTube pages. On Youtube, video will buffer to 100% but still won't play. First frame of video is visible with both but stays a still image. Flashblock is installed but disabled.

Back in the days of Firefox 37 or so I changed Preferences so that Privacy would show up first, going back to my previous version using "about:config" and setting "browser.preferences.incontent" to "false." This no longer works (and reads false now.) I no longer see settings in "about:config" for browser.preferences.privacy.selectedTabIndex or browser.preferences.lastpanel. WOuld appreciate any help on this. Thanks.

Maff extension was working fine on 43, saved a few pages this morning. Did an update to 44, and puff, now there is a blank space in the file TAB where we used to have "save archive" disappeared. What should I do? Am I missing something?

The newest version of firefox has made the icons for the tabs ridiculously large. It is different for each website but take a look at the pic below to see what I mean.

Full Screen now only hides the menu bar. I have a 2010 MacBook Pro with tons of fully functioning but "dated" applications and only upgraded to Mountain Lion in order to let my iPhone 6s talk to iTunes 12.3 (which was not available in Snow Leopard). I do not want to upgrade my OS any further because of the risk of a more current OS not being compatible with my applications. I've searched the web repeatedly to correct the issue but have not found anything that is specifically applicable to my scenario. Hoping to find a solution and achieve true Full Screen functioning again. Thank you.

WebAIM.org is reporting that, not only is the WAVE Accessibility toolbar no longer compatible with the updated version of Firefox, but also that "the Mozilla add-on developer environment no longer supports the functionality required for toolbar evaluation" (http://wave.webaim.org/toolbar/). Is this likely to be true for the foreseeable future? I can't believe that Firefox has closed off access to this important tool that faculty and staff in education use to evaluate the accessibility of our websites for people with disabilities. Shame on Firefox for eliminating the ability to use this tool--it seems like Firefox is going backward at just the time that the rest of us are trying to go forward in trying to ensure accessibility for all people.

Do I have any choice other than to go back to the older version of Firefox to restore compatibility with the WAVE toolbar? WebAIM recommends the Chrome WAVE toolbar, but it is not nearly as good as the one that used to work for Firefox.

How do I stop the allow function on automatic redirect? I click links and every time I have to click allow before the browser redirects me to the next page. Often I am kicked out of surveys due to this. I want to turn this off and be automatically redirected every time. Cannot find how to turn this off in the Security section

I always use Firefox, but lately it's been acting funky; that is, about every 5-10 seconds it pauses (the cursor spins, so I cannot use it), and even when scrolling it does that. Driving me insane. So I thought I would try Internet Explorer, and it was fine. So, I went to my downloads, and I noticed two Firefox's. When I clicked on them, one was Firefox, the other Firefox 2. I have no idea why, but I must have been upgraded, or downloaded new version, who knows. Anyway, Firefox was the culprit, and Firefox2 is my old, regular friend. So, if you are having this problem, that might answer it for you.

When I run Firefox version 42 Mac on Mountain Lion, my home page loads perfectly, but another tab for "Preferences" always seems to load as well. How can I prevent this other tab from loading? Thanks, Ken.

I downloaded Adobe's uninstall (for Mac, OSX 10.4ff) and ran it to get rid of old Adobe Flash shards, being very careful to follow the instructions Adobe provided via their website. The last thing they ask you to do is to "Verify that uninstallation is complete" by restarting your computer and then open your browser and check the status of Flash Player. BUT there seems not to be a way to check the status of Adobe Flash Player on current versions of Mozilla-produced browsers. How do I check that the old version of "Flash Player" is really gone?

I cannot access google.com from Firefox on my iMac. This only starting happening today. Not sure that it is malware or adware related. I can access all other websites with no issue. Cleared cache and cookies as well for both.

And I can ping www.google.com from the iMac with 0% packet loss.

Here are other details below

iMac running OS X 10.8.5

Firefox 41.0

Please help as I may have overlooked something.

My Mac and Laptop Are connected to the internet via WiFi... I have promblem loading any Google websites or google search . Page Comes up with Secure Connection Failed

I have been having persistent crashes lately. They have been occurred weekly, and then now have been occurring every few days. When it crashes, the page hangs and then stops and closes. below is the id of the latest crash.

I have been having regular crashes on Firefox. My last submission suggested it's a problem regarding Microsoft software on my Mac, but did not specify if it's browser based or software based. Here are my latest crash reports, and I am slowly losing my patience over these recent crashes.

A web-site that i access regularly using Firefox has been updated within the last 24 hours. i do i get Firefox to access the updated external site rather than the pre-updated site that is apparently stored on my cache?

I press '+' at the top of the page next to the open tabs, but a new tab doesn't open. I have also tried 'command T' nd nothing happens. Could you tell me how to open a new tab? Please try to make your answer in plain English because I don't understand techno-jargon. Thanks.
