How can I use the microphone to search Google in Firefox? I already checked permissions and blocking requests is unchecked.
I'm doing everything I find online to eliminate Google as the default search, but nothing works. What do I do?

I have just updated Mozilla/Firefox and opted for the VPN option. Mac desktop, MS Tahoe up to date, my nominated browsers are Firefox, Duck Duck Go and Safari.
So when I go to start my first search, why am I offered a window to type in my query which invites me.... search with GOOGLE...??? I want nothing more to do with gurgle, I have gone to lengths to avoid those bolld suckers.

Every time I search for anything, I get japanese or korean characters and I would like to just have English and/or spanish

In previous versions of Firefox, using an alternative search engine was seamless: I just typed my keywords and clicked the specific search engine icon.
With the current update, the workflow is much longer. Now I have to:
1. Type the keywords 2. Click the dropdown arrow 3. Select the alternative search engine icon 4. Hit Enter
Why was this UX change made? It feels like a step backward.
My laptop now defaults to Yahoo instead o Google.
I don't know if it's me, but cmd + f doesn't bring up the search anymore. Any ideas what I might have done wrong?

I am on a newer desktop iMac. I only use Firefox. Google is my default. And yet.. Nowhere on my right click contextual menu is there a "Google Lens" option! According to the article on the Firefox home page, just having Google as your default search engine will give you that option on the right click menu. It does not exist, as you can see in the attached screenshot. If I am missing a step, I'd love to know what it is.
Keep getting this screen when using Firefox browser.
