I am on firefox 25 and oxs 10.9, and all of a sudden for no reason, the 2 finger scrolling stopped working. its not the mac because scrolling works on everything else except for firefox. I don't really know what happened. I've already tried reseting firefox and the scrolling will work for a bit and then suddenly not work anymore. if i restart it, the scroll will work for a bout 5 minutes before disappearing.

Trying to install Silverlight 5.0 on Firefox 11.0 (Mac OSX Lion). No matter how many times I try to install it (having uninstalled using MacKeeper), I still get the same message telling me I need to install it.

I click on the rotating balls of download helper and it looks as though the download is taking only a couple seconds. Then, when I click on it to play it it doesn't work and says, The document “Barney_ I Hear Music Everywhere.mp4” could not be opened. The movie's file format isn't recognized. To see if additional software is available that will enable QuickTime Player to open the movie, click Tell Me More.
I have a 2011 Apple Macbook Pro 13".
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I call a Java class from JavaScript in HTML-Code. The JavaScript get loaded earlier then the Java Applet. Even the Java Applet-Tag is on the top. When I have a button in HTML to start the Java-class with JavaScript, it works. But it should also be possible to do that right after loading die Java Applet. Until 3 months ago it was working always properly on Mac with Firefox for 6 years. On Windows it still works perfect with Firefox. And it worked always perfect on Windows with Internet Exlorer and Chrome. I hope you can solve this problem. With Safari Java Applets don't run any more even Java is active in Safari. So my customers have just Firefox to work with on Mac. Chrome doesn't work on Mac. Here is my Code. The Applet is signed by symantec:

The last command - window.document.testmac.testmacsigned(); - doesn't work anymore because the Java Applet on the top isnt' loaded allready.

I have installed and unenstalled silverlightplugin, (it doesn't show as a plugin on Firefox plugin list, but it is installed in hard drive) I keep getting the message, "Just one minute more to watch movie, download silverlight plugin, I am on a MacBook pro, and am ready to give up Firefox if this cannot be fixed. I have talked to Microsoft, and they don't support macs except for their download that I am all too familiar with!!

As someone who deals with video media on the web quite often, this handicap inherent in Firefox is a fairly big and ridiculously obvious problem. When, if ever, will it be resolved? If Firefox wasn't such a popularly used browser, this issue wouldn't be as much of a concern, but people are using Firefox quite a bit on-line. It seems very strange to me that this otherwise excellent browser from Mozilla can't play back a simple MP4 file in HTML 5.

Is there a way of resolving that at any point? If not, is there a reliable format that I should switch to instead of MP4, like Flash? I'm aware that there are plugins available to make Firefox "see" MP4 files, but asking customers to download and install a plugin is not really a professional solution. Please advise! Thank you.

Since upgrading to OS X 10.9 ("Mavericks"), the video part of Google Hangout no longer works -- the video settings pane in Hangouts tells me that I have no camera. This isn't true; I'm on a laptop with a built-in camera, and the video shows up fine in other apps.
I've tried restarting Firefox, as well as uninstalling and re-installing the Google talk/video plugin. No dice.
This may be a red herring, but an informal poll of my co-workers seems to show that it's only people with 11" MacBook Airs that are affected. I find this rather suspicious, and I'm not sure it's actually a thing, but I suppose it's possible.

I just now received an update to FF to 33.0, now none of these sites work. (I'm in the Beta channel) I'm getting: error code: sec_error_invalid_key

When I hover the cursor over a picture of a searched item a "see similar" tab appears and if I accidentily pass over it it begins to scan with a visible scanning line and will direct to another page with similar items. I think it is a feature of Web Search Plus Enhancements and I find it very annoying but don't know how to turn this off! Your help would be appreciated. scalaron
