When I download a file before I even have a chance to save or open the file Firefox downloads the file and puts it on my desktop. I have to look at lots of .pdf files and this a bit annoying as I have to keep deleting all the files I dont want. The dialog box opens and I always choose open rather than save but Firefox has already saved a copy to my desktop. How can I stop this autosave please ? Cheers.

The title already says it all. Whenever i have some sound or video running in any tab, clicking on certain things like other videos or animated stuff in the same tab or another one causes a small interruption in the sound/video. Clicking a lot of times results in sound and video stuttering. I does not appear when i just click another link.

I already tried updating firefox, reinstall firefox, even downgrading firefox. This problem only appears in firefox and only on this device. I would be very thankfull for some advices, because this is really annoying.

I am not able to load www.washingtonpost.com despite providing exceptions in all privacy and security exceptions. I am currently operating in "Strict" but the same thing happens in "Standard". Most of my attempts are from links, but it won't load if I just load in a https. This does not happen if I use Safari as my default browser or just enter the web site on Safari.

I have searched for this answer and can't find it, so I am hoping that it isn't here already and I just can't find it because of the way I am asking in the search box.......I would like to unsubscribe from an e-mail newsletter I am getting, but there is no "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the e-mail like there is on most of them I do receive. Is there a way in the Moz://a web site that this can be done? I am using a "mask" e-mail address and have done an unsubscribe with a different e-mail newsletter, but this one, I am not able to do just a simple "Unsubscribe".

firefox is very slow, crash several times. i need to close and reopen.

it comes on average 2TB of Ram with 4-5 tabs open. version: 99.01 64 bit

I use this site every week to purchase groceries for multiple people. Suddenly this week, I am disallowed from entering the site because of ad blockers or pop ups.

I have gone into Mozilla settings and included the Kroger address and an exception. I have cleared the cache. I have rebooted several times. Using Windows 11 laptop. I do not have any other browsers installed. I used AVG Security and Norton VPN, but nothing has changed since I last used Kroger.com.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

When I try to log into chase.com, I'm told my (FireFox) browser is out of date, but I am running the latest version. What can I do?

I was watching anime today on some site and my firefox was downloading many files without my knowledge into my download folder. I'm worried that it can be some viruses? This is a screenshoot. Should i be worried? Thank you for help.

I can no longer use Firefox since last update to access a interactive map on my village Website. This is the page that does not work as it use to. https://www.elkgrove.org/i-want-to/contact-the-village My village said to contact Firefox to get help.

If it helps this is the main website for Elk Grove Village https://www.elkgrove.org/ To get to the page with the map click on I Want To . . . . Click on Contact The Village The page will come up to find the map near the bottom of the page. This map use to always pop up with the village map right away and no need to enter the name of the town.

I have tried multiple times to just change my homepage. I am coming from Chrome, but I used to use Firefox a lot. I am going into my preferences almost daily to change my homepage to just the standard firefox home, because I thought I was just crazy. It will not save my preference though, and I have no clue why. I do not have any extensions enabled or installed other than the ones that come with a fresh install of firefox. I even have those disabled right now. I have some themes downloaded, but I only am using the one provided my Mozilla. Nothing is allowing to save changes.

I will change it, and for like the next few times I open my browser, it will be saved, but after a day, its gone. I still have no clue as to why.

Can anyone help out?

My microphone does not work properly in Firefox, it sounds very low and bad.

I have a Corsair HS35 Stereo headset and my sound driver is Realtek HD Audio 2nd output.

I have tested my microphone in other browsers and other kind of applications like Google Chrome, Brave, Windows Voice Recorder, WhatsApp Desktop, etc. and the microphone works fine. It only works badly in Firefox.

I did the test with a portable version of Firefox, and, as with the installed version, the microphone was malfunctioning.

I've also noticed that Firefox lowers the microphone volume automatically (how do I prevent this?), yet even if I turn it all the way up it still sounds very low and bad.

What can I do about it?

IT'S MAKING ME CRAZY - so bad that I've even tried MS Edge! Ewwww.... I read in the HELP files and online that I should be able to change the config to 1/1 after unchecking option to let Firefox control things in my settings. However, it does not pop up the change config box - and, I later read that it is not available any longer. This is killing me! Thank you for helping!

I have used Firefox for years with my MSN/Outlook emails. Recently, something has changed that has caused typing emails to a nightmare. As I am typing the "system" is constantly suggesting text and I do not know how to remove that feature. Each time this happens I have to stop and either hit the tab key or fiddle around with the space bar to get past this problem and continue typing what I want to write. Also, as I am replying to an email, the "system" occasionally opens another email document and at the same time moves the email I am trying to respond to. It moves the email, not to trash, but to Archive. I never use the archive feature. How do I fix these problems. Something has obviously gotten changed in "settings" but I cannot figure out where or how to fix. The "suggested text" feature is disasterous and annoying and it has got to be removed somehow. Please help.

On Firefox for Windows (on Windows 11 release 99.0.1), the first setting in Settings is "Open previous windows and tabs". This is incorrect. It doesn't do this. When checked, upon startup, it will restore one window, its tabs, & maybe its sessions (?), and it will send all the other Windows & their tabs to the bit bucket.

Users: KNOW & HEED this warning! Team: Please take what you've already done for that window and merely do it also for the rest of them? In the mean time, please change the wording to something like "Open one of the windows and its tabs". Ideally, identify which window has been chosen for this.
