I have encountered a frustrating situation on several websites for quite some time now. I have tried to find out what is wrong but haven't been able to get an answer so I hope someone here can help me.

When I am on certain websites I am unable, for example, to watch a video or log in on a site if I decide to make a purchase. For instance, I receive channel 6ABCnews which I can read with no problem but if I want to watch one of their videos I have to switch to Chrome before it will play. Or I can look at items for sale on shopDisney but if I decide to buy something, I can't sign in unless I use Chrome. There is another online store that will let me see certain things (such as the return policy or how to order online) but it won't let me see their products unless I switch to Chrome. One last example has to do with my local newspaper. I can read the entire digital edition but if I try to place an ad (without ever leaving the site) I have to use Chrome. I attempted to upload images of the ad order form as it should look (when I use Chrome) and how it looks when using Firefox. Unfortunately, the Chrome image wouldn't upload.

Any suggestions as to what might be causing this? And is there anything I can do about it? I refuse to make Chrome my default browser which would appear to be the easiest solution.

Message I get is "Secure connection failed". I go to help-->troubleshoot-->refresh. It usually works once then next time it is the same. I've tried troubleshoot-->troubleshoot but that doesn't help either, I end up refreshing and then back to square one. Appreciate your help to a non-techie.

I'm in Amazon.com web site I have tried to play a video that I rented on line, but I get a message that reads (Firefox is installing components needed to play the audio or video on this page) please try again later. which have for the last two days since installing firefox as my net browser. What can I do to improve this or have the components install sooner? any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I'm very lost as to why Firefox has suddenly starting crashing on me very frequently over the past 3 or so days, after Firefox's latest update. I first noticed it when I tried watching streams on Twitch, then I also noticed it on YouTube, and then when casually browsing Reddit. I've gone through all the troubleshooting steps:

• I've made sure Windows is up to date
• Firefox is up to date
• My drivers are all up to date
• There are no viruses/malware/any issues with my firewall settings and computer security, I've tested and checked everything
• The crashes DO still happen in Troubleshooting Mode
• I've checked my RAM using Windows Memory Diagnostic for errors and there are none
• I've refreshed Firefox, I've cleared my cache, I've done an entire clean uninstall and reinstall of Firefox
• I'm able to watch streams, videos, and browse Reddit just fine on my other devices and on Google Chrome. This is only an issue I'm encountering with Firefox, which is super disappointing because I've never had a single issue in the past several years I've been using it as my browser ):

a few days ago Firefox (probably on update) deleted all my ten years of saved passwords and logins. This is BEYOND IRRESPONSIBLE from them. What am I supposed to do know?

However, when I enter a secondary email, (AlexR@currently.com) a red popup message says: account already exists.

How can I eliminate msrigg@pacbell.net? How can I replace it with AlexR@currently.com?

So I installed Firefox, and now it has "disappeared" from the my Windows 11 system. It is not in the apps list, and i cannot search for it in the start search bar. Weird part is that the files are still in the Program Files folder, and clicking the application works.

I reinstalled Firefox and everything seems to be ok, but then it happened again.

Anyone has any insights?

Over the years, I have become dependent on a bookmarks toolbar that shows only icons, but will show the text with a mouse hover, using the following in userchrome:

The upgrade to Firefox 96 broke this. I considered spending an hour or two deleting the text from all of the bookmarks on my bookmarks toolbar, but I depend on the mouse-hover tooltip with the text to remind me of some important but not all-that-frequently-used bookmarks.

My appearance settings are set to dark mode but Firefox is only displaying in light mode. I've tried downloading various dark mode extensions to fix this, but they only seem to work on websites other than the firefox homepage or settings.

Hello, i had microsoft edge since i bought my laptop which i usually get rid of instantly. But recently i started getting these errors especially trying to go to the T-mobile website. The errors i'm getting are " Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to www.t-mobile.com. PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR " . Any idea how to fix this?

I enabled print both sides but it only printed one side. Chrome printed both sides. In reading the blogs about printing issues there are a lot printing issues some similar to mine. See attached screen shot

Videos using this browser ave been running slow and hang on initial startup, loading for some time before finally playing. Other browsers such as Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge are running fine without issue. Please help with any tips or troubleshooting you may have to help get this browser working properly

It plays only the first video that's landed at, the rest are re-loaded and skipped one after another.

My username is anonymized in the troubleshooting log.

With W10 set to Dark Mode and Firefox set to Dark Mode, I am unable to discern the active tab from the others at the top. There should be an outline or color difference for the active tab to make switching to another chosen tab easy. I am forced to change the Firefox Theme to one that actually does this. I don't understand why the default dark theme in Firefox doesn't do this. Will there be a change in the next version?

Is there any way to enable/disable the "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of your selections above" setting on a per-site basis? Thanks.

I have English and German installed in Windows and Firefox (Well and Russian, but Russian does not give any issues) English is set as system language in Windows. English is set as the preferred Menu and Content Language in Firefox. The menu is displayed in English as it should be.

Problem now is, some Firefox messages, i.g. the message that a website is asking me to confirm I want to leave, is in German, for apparently no reason. Even on English websites. It's not a major inconvenience, just weird.

I attempted to remove German from the alternative menu languages, for testing, but cannot. English and German both cannot be removed. A third language I add randomly can be removed.

I am aware that the locale I downloaded Firefox in cannot be removed, but I hardly downloaded Firefox in two Locales at the same time, did I? From what I can see I originally probably downloaded German Locale, since English is listed under Language Add-ons.

So what I am curious about is, how is it possible that Firefox gives me part of the menu/browser messages in English and parts of it in German? Does the English Language lack some translations? Hardly I'd guess. And why do I have two languages I cannot remove?
