At abc7ny.com, I keep getting the message that the video is not supported by my browser I have the media feature pack installed & turned on. What's wrong?

A financial institution's log-in page suddenly remembers my username, though not my password.

The institution's site is not listed among those in Firefox's password manager at all.

The institution claims it's not their site, and it must be the fault of the browser.

Any suggestions? I need to protect this information.

P.S. Chrome also remembers the log-in or username.

according to the add-on page in Settings, the AdBlock Plus add-on is enabled in my browser, but it doesn't appear to be working. so I am trying to access the menu options to control it. to do that, I need to add the icon to my toolbar.

explains two methods:

1. go to Settings --> Customize Toolbars, and drag the icon to the toolbar. this doesn't work, because the icon is not there to be dragged (even after I restore defaults).

2. go to the View Menu --> Toolbars --> Add-on Bar and move the icon from one toolbar to another.

quite apart from the fact that it took me two days to figure out how to get the View Menu to appear, that procedure doesn't work either because after View Menu --> Toolbars --> the Add-on Bar is not listed.

can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong.

I cannot log into aa.com (American Airlines) with Firefox but Chrome works fine. Error message that their site is down for maintenance but it is up and working just fine with other browsers.

I have cleared cache, cookies, history, etc. HTTPS always is not enabled. Firefox is at the latest version. I have restarted the browser.

Any thoughts?

I keep getting here on Mozzilla Firefox this Error "Stop" pop-up thing that slows down the Firefox browser I tried calling the Mozilla Company in California with out any success. Since I upgrade MacOS to Big Sur, a couple basic Firefox functions have stopped working. 1) History is not being saved. I can restore deleted tabs, but there is nothing in the History menu, nor is there any record (for example, in the form of auto-complete) of websites I have visited in the past. 2) My bookmarks file appears to be mostly read-only. Clicking on the star icon to save a new bookmark does nothing. Selecting Bookmarks > Bookmark Current Tab does nothing. In the Manage Bookmarks environment, selecting Add Bookmark from the gear icon brings up a dialog box in which the only content is a Cancel button. In the Manage Bookmarks environment, I can change the Name of a current bookmark but cannot change its URL. If I try, it reverts to the old URL as soon as I click away from it.

The current help page that most closely describes my symptoms is https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/changes-toolbars-and-window-sizes-are-not-saved. I tried both remedies, including refreshing Firefox and deleting xulstore.json, but no change in symptoms.

i need to remove the usernames from a drop down list on a particular website. same problem on microsoft edge, they have a trash-can icon beside each username in the dropdown list, so it's easy to remove each username. what is the equivalent on firefox?

Since 8 December, 2021, I cannot log into any of my 3 Gmail accounts using Firefox and either Google or Duck Duck Go. I get a message that each is temporarily unavailable - repeatedly. I have no add-ons to Firefox; I cleared the cache. I can access all three accounts using Edge and Bing, bringing up Gmail Accounts and then specifying accounts from within that website. I can't remember when the latest Firefox update happened but it wasn't long ago. I have never had trouble accessing my gmail accounts before now.

After a Firefox update, Facebook messenger fonts and/or text margins changed and started to look unpleasant to read (too narrow line spacing, the text is crammed vertically and background text fields are smaller). Chromium displays the font as before.

Intermittently but more than half the time in the last week, links on Firefox (but not on Edge) to common sites like docs.microsoft.com return > Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to docs.microsoft.com. The OCSP response does not include a status for the certificate being verified. Error code: MOZILLA_PKIX_ERROR_OCSP_RESPONSE_FOR_CERT_MISSING

I can't play videos from NBA.com which is using Endeavor technology. Does anyone know how I can get these videos to play?

Firefox is not rendering twitchy.com properly. (Checked against MS Edge, which works fine.)

My old computer crashed, and I had to switch to a new computer. But all of my Firefox bookmarks that I to years to collect are on my old computer. Is there any way that I could retrieve the bookmarks from the hard drive?

I have the problem in the Subject line. FF sucks about 500 MB to be run, on top of which it takes 500 MB per tab, and that makes it impossible to run a research on my 8 GB Mac. Yesterday I was looking for a lamp and had no more than 7 tabs open, 3 of which were largely text, 2 were online shops, and 1-2 were websites with pictures. No Facebook or social media, no YouTube. FF froze, made the whole Mac freeze (well, Mac is garbage nowadays but let's leave that out of this topic), and I had to wait MINUTES before I could close it, because the computer was nonreactive.

When I check online, I see people being like "why can't it manage more than 50 tabs?". 50?!?! My computer dies with a maximum of 10 when it's only text websites!

So, I guess there's something wrong with this.

- I don't have many extensions (SimilarWeb, VPN, and Flash Player), I always use incognito so I can't use the plugin that allows me to use several accounts at the same time, so I can't see what's messing with my Mac. - The Activity Monitor (pretty much Task Manager on Windows) shows "FirefoxCP Isolated Web Content" for each tab, could that have anything to do with my problem? - CPU usage is very low, some 0.5 to 10% max during heavy use. - I seem to remember I used to have dozens of tabs open in the past, although I can't be sure. Is this a recent problem?

I really hope there's a way to solve this, because now I always fear that opening FF while on a Zoom meeting might freeze the whole thing.

I first had lost my home button on the toolbar. I opened customize toolbar and it was there at the bottom. Also my added extensions could be seen there. I dragged the Home button over and it was added to the area on the right, but nothing on the toolbar. I tried troubleshooting, nothing helped, I tried refreshing Firefox. That did nothing as well. My extensions have been disabled by safe mode and I still have no Home button.

This isn't that important, but I was just experimenting to see if changing a few folder colors would be of any benefit to me. And the above code that I tried didn't work. I'm guessing that something changed with Mozilla Firefox in the last 1-1.5 years, and I have a feeling that if I dig into https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/Attribute_selectors for hours or even days I won't be able to figure out what I need to change. Anyone know what the new code should be? Thanks in advance.
