Hi, FF 89.0b2 Developer edition now contains a "fake editable" search field at the home page (the sentence contains in the class attribute so I used it here), when one start typing in it and the letters appear in the address bar.

For me personally this is partly non-intuitive partly annoying. I never met a scenario in UI of other programs, when typing in one place (where the caret is) show actual letters at another place.

Is this feature is here to stay or are there plans to to make it customizable? I used ff home page search for ages, now I installed a new tab home page extension with manually setting www.google.com in it.

Today I updated my Firefox Developer Edition to version 89.0b2 and now I just can not look at this browser anymore, "Inspired new tab design" is taking too much space and now became largest and at the same time least information-dense panel in my entire desktop! I searched around the web for a bit in hopes that I will find a theme or an add-on that will revert this particular change but no luck. I really want to revert to old UI look (at least tabs bar), there should be default theme or option to get back to old style. After some investigation I found userChrome.css but don't really want to install it (maybe this is actually the way of doing this kind of styling). Please help me revert UI design to old one.

One of your recent updates has all searches forced to the address bar..... I use the Google search box on my homepage and from the first letter its moved to the address bar... Go back to the Google box on the homepage.... You've made it useless....

I would like to set the tabs to display below the address bar in Firefox 89 64bit. I believe the setting is in about:config but I can't find it. Firefox does this every so often and I wish they would just have a button to say tabs on top, or tabs below address bar.

Hallo, nach Programmupdate auf 89.0 sind die Menüeinträge sehr auseinandergezogen. Dadurch ist das Lesezeichenmenü fast nicht mehr brauchbar. Wie kann die alte Oberfläche wieder hergestellt werden?

After Firefox updated my bookmarks are all screwed up. I can see very few and the icon on the top right is not there any longer. I can see them backed up on a HTML file in my desktop but I can't import them back. What's going on?

This new update is so ugly I'd rather be vulnerable to all of the security fixes that were just patched than use Firefox 89.0.

Also your feedback page is down, which is unfortunate because I'd love to give some.

FF home page center search box.

When clicking on it, the cursor blinks as normal. When typing, it defaults to the header search box. Any solution?

Good afternoon. My Firefox has been updated to the new version but I noticed that the font size in my bookmarks dropdown menu has increased. I would prefer to make it smaller as it used to all fit in one column without the need to scroll. Could someone tell me how, or if this can be done with the new version? Thanks and hope to hear back soon.

Sorry to rub salt into old wounds but this quote from a 2014 support post expresses my feelings exactly:

"What's the point of a 'tab' if there's no tab? Text floating around at the top of the page is not a tab."

Mt tab bar is set up to appear underneath the bookmarks bar. I just updated to version 89.0 (64 bit) and the tabs bar is there but NO tabs are appearing on it or anywhere. How do I fix this?

With the latest update, my tabs are now a complete blank space with tiny little words. How can I get something back, like a border, to define them again? Thanks for your help.

I REALLY dislike the new bookmark pull-down feature, which has larger fonts and far too much space between bookmarks. Now I have to scroll (for which I can't use the mouse) to get to the bottom of a long bookmark list. I prefer older versions.

How may I change the appearance of this feature?

Firefox just released an update changing the browser's look, and it clashes hard with my computer's theme. I wanted to ask if anyone could help me restoring firefox's previous version/removing this update, or at least blocking the aesthetic changes forced by the update. Thanks for any and all help.

I just downloaded and installed the latest update for Firefox and I hate it. The browser top bar is white and none of the tabs is readily readable. I looked to find a way to darken the background, but nothing changes that white bar. Please like Windows allow a "classic" setting that retains the older look.

The Firefox 89 menu bar is now defaulted as light gray. I had it set up to display dark colors from Windows desktop which made it easier to read the menu bar items. How do I restore this. My Firefox settings are unchanged with the system theme enabled and the attachment shows the setttings for colors display for all apps including Firefox.
