Is this known behavior? Has it been reported to Mozilla? Found nothing from a search.

What happened to FireFox Version 88.0.1? I updated to this version yesterday after a lot of nagging from popups.

Prob 1. Try to open a link from email and I get, "Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to input.mozilla.org. PR_CONNECT_ABORTED_ERROR The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem."

When I try the same link in Safari, which tends to be grumpier than Firefox about security issues. it works just fine; no complaints and the page opens.

Prob 2 ( IMO related ). Try to open a bookmark and I get, "The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

   The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
   If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
   If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web."

Again, when I try the same link or site in Safari, works just fine.

OS MacOS Big Sur Version 11.2.3

When viewing a job on Indeed, whether on a pane or a separate tab, the application menu fails to load when I click 'Apply Now'. The connection times out after a while. It even takes an awful time to go back (reload) to the page!

When I reported this Indeed Support, they recommended using Google Chrome as their site "tends to work best on it". I can now confirm that the issue does not arise with Chrome.

I have tried pretty much everything on this page: Firefox can't load websites but other browsers can

I even reinstalled Firefox but it is so smart, it realized the fact and prompted me to refresh and now we are back where we left off.

Everytime I opne FF, it keeps resetting since the last update. I've since tried a fresh install, deleting prefs.js, there was no user.js, restarting without any addons, nothing works.

Any advice would be great, thank you.

I am running into something very frustrating and am incredibly annoyed by it. Yesterday, I was browsing and had bookmarked some sites prior to me doing a Firefox update. After the update I had restarted my computer. Fast forward to today and I come to find out that NOTHING from the SEVEN (yes SEVEN!) hours leading up to the update had saved at all in Firefox. No history and no bookmarks from that time period. Oddly enough, my last bookmark shows eight whole days ago so not sure as to the extent of the damage. I have attached some pics showing the huge gap of missing data. It absolutely perplexes me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I have searched the internet for a solution to this, basically what is happening is I'll go about browsing, as you would. then I click on a link, maybe type in the website and it says "Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site. We can’t connect to the server at (website) If that address is correct, here are three other things you can try: Try again later. Check your network connection. If you are connected but behind a firewall, check that Firefox has permission to access the Web." I did notice it's quite random, most websites work but every 1 in 10 I'd say I get this error, then I refresh the page and it loads.

I've changed my DNS, Removed my firewall, and reset my firefox and none of that worked, please help.

Hi there, When accessing history for today, selecting everything with CTRL+A then copying the selection with CTRL+C the only data copied to the clipboard is the URL [Location]. I have Name, Location & Most Recent Visit selected on the header ribbon. I am not using any clipboard utilities so I imagine it's pure Firefox inspiration. Is there a special trick for making Firefox recognise the PC standard CTRL+A and/or CTRL+C? Thanks

I wonder if in the new release of Mozilla Firefox there is an Extension that places an "'Extension Button"' in the Toolbar that works as an Extensions Menu including a table of all Extensions, where someone can very easily pin or unpin Extension icons from the toolbar or can handle the Extensions properties.

On my PC (Windows 10) I run Firefox and use Yahoo for email. I'm suddenly missing many email folders, yet they still show up on my Android phone. How can I restore these to my PC?

I received a Yahoo email which contained a set of 33 images, all of which display correctly in W10 and (pardon the expression) Edge. Attachment 0 shows 1 of the 33 images.

Of those 33 images, I can see only 13 using W10 and Ffx 88.0.1. The rest are blank spaces. Attachment 1 is one of the blanks.

Attachment 2 is the URL for one of the blanks. Attachment 3 is an error message that I hope might help to determine what's going on here.

What am I missing? Do I have my Ffx settings messed up? I'd appreciate a nudge in the right direction...thanks!

hello, i searched a bit and refreshed FF, started in FF in safe mode(currently in safe mode), shifted to work offline then shifted back, as possible solutions. No proxy is selected in network preferences. All that did was make it so whatsmyip.com now says no proxy when it said proxy in use before. it's showing las vegas as my location this time. My real location is hawaii and all my other browsers show this. The "problem" is months old. I have to verify that im not a robot regularly, and certain sites give an error 403, (iirc), but work fine with safari because it isn't using a proxy. Is it possible there is some sort of malware causing this? mac os10.12.6 FF88.0.1 (64bit)

When I go to some sites they don't show some of the information. I tried in private and in troubleshoot mode both don't show the information. For example when you go to https://www.freepbx.org/downloads/ and click on the button to download, the form that you need to fill out don't show. I will include 2 attachments to show the deference.

This is a weird one. I would appreciate help. Please read carefully before responding....I am not a newb

Connected my new XPS laptop for the first time to my monitor. Everything looks fine (Windows 10, Chrome, other programs) EXCEPT for Firefox. In Firefox, all the text looks grainy, obviously not right. I disabled all my extensions, REFRESHED/RESET the browser, with no improvement.

But when I opened Firefox's troubleshooting mode, the browser immediately improved, became crystal clear. Also, when I took a screenshot to post here, the screenshot of the text appeared crystal clear as well. So it's definitely not the monitor.

Again, I've refreshed Firefox, and turned off all my extensions. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Still seeing grainy text. Troubleshoot mode says it turns off "extensions, themes, and custom settings" --what else does it turn off?

Any suggestions welcome.

For the past two weeks, none of the websites I use work properly. I can't log-in to most accounts including banking or shopping. I figured out last week that f-secure security extensions that weren't being used were causing some problems. After uninstalling them there was some minor improvement. I reset Firefox but that did nothing. I can't use websites like lowes.com where the sign-in link isn't recognized and auto-chat/feedback features do not load. This website like some other retailers and financial institutions has recently updated. I can access them using MS Edge and Chrome, which I hate. I should also note that Mozilla's Enhanced Tracking Protection has caused lots of similar issues and I usually disable it on all websites. I can see the webpages but Firefox dosn't seem to recognise any of the log-in links and on some when I enter my information nothing happens and I don't see the loading dots at the top of the Tab.

I have gone into about:config and tickered in there... I have also done a refresh, attempted to go into safe mode, and tried looking in features under the about Firefox menu.

Please assist... if nothing else works, I may have to uninstall and reinstall. I hate to do that though.

I've spent quite alot of time setting up my Firefox "New Tab" layout with the 32 site links I want and all the right logo pics to go with them (sounds simple, but it was NOT), and so on and so on. Now, I'm wondering how I can save all that work so that if something goes awry (Say WHAT??), I won't have to recreate it again (which I probably wouldn't have the willpower to do). I've done lengthy searching on the internet looking for this answer but have not found one. I have "Saved This Page" under "File" but will that will save all the formatting, the layout, the links, logos, etc. of the New Tab page? I don't know that nor am I confident of that. ''''Does anyone know if there a way to save all the user customization of the "New Tab" layout? Also, why can't I take a screenshot of a New Tab page? The tool icon grays out when on a new tab page.

After years of successful near daily use of https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/communities/space-weather-enthusiasts, it now partially loads and the following message appears, “This page is slowing down Firefox. To speed up your browser, stop this page.” It may take several tries before the page fully loads.

What can I do to correct this problem?

Using FF 88.0.1 in both Linux Mint and Windows 10 and without syncing add-ons, The "New Tab Override" looses my granted permission and opens a new tab on it's own Options/Preferences page, where it shows that permission is granted.

The simple solution I found that clearing the Startup cache restores functionality.

Already reported this on the add-on's Github site, which directed me back here.

I'm a user slowly trying to wean off of Chrome and getting accustomed to Firefox as a new primary browser. Something that I've relied on quite heavily in the past was the use of the address bar's autocomplete function to get me to frequently used websites - in this case, the Subscriptions page from YouTube. I have attempted to fiddle with the options available to me, but it seems that no matter what I do on this browser, I am unable to have said page show up when I type in "y" - instead, the homepage for YouTube is the first thing to show up, which I explicitly do not want. I cannot permanently remove this by way of pressing Shift + Del, as it always reappears. I am positive that I have visited the target page (Subscriptions) enough that it should show up as the top result, and I am also positive that I have not visited the YouTube homepage, as I intentionally remove it from my browsing history if I ever accidentally access it. I have tried turning on/off different combinations of settings in the Address Bar options menu under Browser Privacy, I have attempted bookmarking the page to have it rise to the top of the search settings, and I have attempted the use of an add-on which blocks websites from appearing in search results (which unfortunately did not extend to the search results directly from the address bar).

I am grateful that this minor irritant is one of my only outstanding gripes with the browser at the moment, though nevertheless, I would like to know if there is any way to further customize the address bar dropdown results to prioritize websites I have actually accessed before over their root domain.
