Task Manager and about:performance do not show tabs

When I access Task Manager from the Firefox menu or just type about:performance the screen comes up, but it only shows information for Task Manager itself (low impact) but doesn't show information about open tabs / websites or add-ons. I was trying to use it to see if one of my open tabs was impacting browser performance. I have the latest version of Firefox.

etsy.com will not load for the last two days. only i firefox.

firefox won't load any pages of etsy.com for approximately the last two days.

although the site's logo appears on the browser tab, the browser window itself is a blank white page, no error message, no spinning wheel, and the full webpage address showing in the address bar.

help.etsy.com loads fine, although in reality, that directs to a zendesk domain.

etsy.com loads fine on other browsers and isn't showing outages on down detector, etc.

i have cleared the cache, cookies, etc., closed and reopened the browser, made sure i'm using the latest version, ran a malware scan, made sure there are no permissions, rules, add ons, apps, or other things that are interfering with the site loading.

i have not changed any of my firefox settings in the last year, besides automatic updates. antivirus also up to date and i don't appear to have any malware.

any ideas?

(also providing this info to etsy.com, in case the issue is 100% on their end.)

Does Firefox support .mp4 video?

I find "AAC and H.264/MPEG-4 AVC are patented audio/video compression formats. They can be viewed in Firefox using built-in OS libraries (so neither Mozilla nor you need to pay a fee) if embedded in the MP4 container format (.mp4, .m4a, .m4p, .m4b, .m4r, .m4v file types)."

But when I create an HTML page with the following HTML5 code:

</body>
This is a test of video.
<video src="C:/MyVideoFile.mp4" controls>
</video>
</html>

I get the error "No video with supported format and MIME type found". Does Firefox in fact support .mp4 video? If so, what changes do I need to make in the HTML?

Suddenly, a yellow icon with an explanation point in it has appeared over thee horizontal bars in the upper right of my tool bar section. When I click on it a warning reads "Reconnect to Firefox Account." I never knew I was not connected and since I'm able to write this, right here in a Firefox support group page with my account, I have a feeling I may still be conmected to my Firefox account. When I click on that warning icon I'm led to believe I should do something with this thing called Sync. I have to guess this is a Firefox software corruption or someone has hacked into Firefox and this is a phishing tool or malware.

How do I get rid of the yellow icon and the Sync stuff?

Does anyone know a telephone number or email address for Mozilla ?

OK, I hope you can help me. This is not exactly a problem because it may be due to my ignorance.

When I go to the "Get Help" screen for Firefox or Thunderbird the is a search area which allows me to search all the help articles. Problem is there are usually way too many possible answers.

I do not know how to limit the results.

Usually, the more you type the fewer responses. But with Mozilla's search the more I type the more I get.

Some sites use a Boolean symbol to limit responses (e.g. ^ for not). Some use all upper case to identify a Boolean request (e.g. NOT for not equal). I have tried both and they do not seem to work.

So, is there a way of limiting the search results in the Mozilla Help Search ?

Thank you for your help. I hope I explained this well enough to get a response.

FF will not accept my Amazon password. The option it gives me is to change the password. I do not want to change the password as it works fine on Chrome and also Edge. I'm not wanting to BLOCK amazon, just enter through the proper access. most links are put into emails/documents as www.amazon.com and I want my browser to default/redirect to smile.amazon.com. if I can figure this out, I can also use this for other sites which support non-profits for traffic/transactions.

I am unable to import logins using a csv file even though I followed instructions and enabled that functionality on the about:config page. After choosing "Import from a file" I get a page with a yellow header asking me to enter my "Primary Password" to view logins. When I click the "log in" button to do this, immediately I get an empty page that says "No synced logins found."

My logins disappeared after I "refreshed" Firefox. Now I'm sorry I did that. I do still have the logins on a different computer (hence the csv file).

I am setting up Firefox on a new PC... I am running the latest version of Firefox (I think) version 84.0. I exported my logins on my old PC to a .csv file with no problem. Now, I'm trying get Firefox to load that file. I've seen help responses that talk about getting to a submenu in the Login/Password section, but those responses indicate that one of the choices should be "Import from a file". But I'm not seeing that choice. I see "Import from another browser" in that menu, but I don't see "Import from a file"... any suggestions?

I have Firefox browsers installed both on my Linux computer and Windows computer, but however, one of them is downloaded from firefox.com.cn(Chinese version) and the other is from mozilla.org(English version). I signed up a Firefox account at the Chinese version Firefox browser and only found that it was impossible(at that time) to login in the English version Firefox browser. I clicked signed up at that time and I ended up with having TWO independent Firefox account but however they do share the SAME email address, and they cannot sync together of course. This allowed the window to be customizable in size. Now, for me at least, every picture-in-picture video is a tiny window. Is there a way to tweak and increase the size of the video like before?

Hi!

I'm on a Dell xps 9310, ubuntu 20.04, Firefox version 84.0.

Whenever I'm scrolling or moving the mouse over the screen while on Firefox, I get greyish patches of pixel-like blocks over the screen. As far as I'm concern, it just happens on firefox as of right now and on no other browser (Chrome) or other apps.

I tried something that was suggested over another problem and go to preferences->General->Performances-> Untick the 2 boxes, but it doesn't solve the problem.

Anyone have any idea what might be happening here?

after the latest firefox update I can't open attachments coming from lotus notes (LN), without saving them to computer. The reason is that regardless of the document attached (.doc, .xls, .ppt, etc.) every time I try to open such file the pop-up goes like and the bold line is preventing me to open them directly:

"You have chosen to open: xyz.pptx which is: XLSX file from: LN"

Any idea how to resolve?
