Hi there I'm using Vista and since updating to Firefox 8.0.1 every single time I start Firefox it repeats the add-on compatibility check. I tried starting with add-ons disabled, deleting update files, started with different profile, nothing. Is this a bug and we have to wait for another update or if it can be sorted I would appreciate some help please. Cheers

I just downloaded Firefox 8.0.1. I'm using XP Professional service pack 3. The Firefox help about Tabs on Top says to go to options and click the box for Tabs on Top to turn this feature off. At home, this worked. Here that click box isn't there. Tools Options under tabs or anywhere else.

I enter address to the address line, then press Enter button, either from key-board, or the Enter button on the right of the address line, and then nothing happens. I still have the address in the address line, but sites do not open and nothing at all happens. If I enter site address into the search engine, I have no problems in opening sites. I do not have problems with opening sites from Bookmarks.

On all HTTPS sites, I get this message...

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to www.adobe.com. (or whatever site... lynda.com, bill pay sites, banks, etc...)

The OCSP server experienced an internal error.

(Error code: sec_error_ocsp_server_error)

This happens ever since I updated from FF6 on all sites that use https for logging on... I've contacted most of the sites and they say it's not them... they are all sites that I've accessed in the past and use regularly... now since I've updated FF, they don't work anymore and I've had to use another browser to access these sites... it's a royal pain!

While on Firefox and using Google as the search engine, it randomly opens a separate window asking "You have chosen to open-Search ". I didn't even press any commands or any sort for it to pop out. On the primary search bar in the middle of the screen.. When I enter any letter of the alphabet a drop down box gives me a list to choose from. How do I stop that? If there is not a way I will be forced to go to explorer only. Thanks

Html ( also tried htm) file is exportd by IE 9 and can be opened. When imported by Firefox it can not be seen in Library of bookmarks either in unsorted bookmarks or show all bookmarks. All read only properties have been removed from Favorites files. Firefox only shows one profile in APPSDATA. This is the first time I have used Firefox and wish to move away from IE. Can you help please? Thanks.

I mechanically clear EVERYTHING often when browsing. What I'm getting live arrows on for a Clear are: Browing & Download History Form & Search History (this is the ONE NOT working, no hot arrow) Next is Cookies then Cache Then Active Logins Then finishes up with Site Preferences.

IT IS THE FORM 7 SEARCH HISTORY which won't clear using new Firefox 8.1 where in 8.0 it did. Thanks.

In Firefox 8.0.1, where is the import feature to import bookmarks from another browser or a back up of bookmarks on a dvd. Also, there does not appear to be a bookmark manager to organize or edit bookmarks.

operating system is windows xp home edition 2002 service pack 3

Am trying to import bookmarks from Safari on same laptop, there is no Import facility on Firefox. Similarly no Organise Bookmarks either.

The title says it all. I also checked Windows' Event Viewer for entries but there are none present. It does not crash every time, but when it does, it is always within the first few seconds of running and will do so several attempts in a row. Changing to a blank home page made no difference. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled with a fresh download (no add-ons) to no avail. This is a computer I just built. XP 32 bit, Kingston 120 GB SSD, 8GB memory (only 3.17 seen by the OS by design).

Restarting the browser resets this style, but after access to the Tumblr or Wordpress dashboard, the default font appears as described above. It thereafter affects other sites.

Hi, I'm using the latest version. When I go through pages, I cannot be able to get back to the previous pages. The back button is not working. When I click the back button, the same page is displayed, it is not going back.....Any help would be highly appreciated!

We are writing a bash script to help us keep Firefox and Chrome browsers on the latest version. In order to do this we need a permalink that will always give us the .dmg file of the latest version of the browser – Chrome already have one. We were wondering if there was such a link that we could use for Mozilla Firefox?

I'm on windows 7 64 bit and when I try to bookmark a site by double clicking on the star icon on the address bar, the bookmark box flickers on and off and just disappears afterwards. I've done some investigation and have found that the default theme is the cause. I have installed a different theme and the problem goes away so that is why I am sure of the root cause. Anyone with any ideas on how to fix this? I like the default theme!

thanks for making this as painless as possible. Since i upgraded to 8.0, firefox has been locking up REGULARLY. I am wondering if there is a compatibility issue with Windows XP, and if so, what the latest version intended for use with XP is, and how to get it.

i installed jdk7 64bit version and even set the new path but the browser is not identifying the jre... only jre6u29 32bit is working and even that has to be downloaded via the online installer...the offline version is not working
