Hello,

I am running FF 79 with W10 OS.

I do a lot of browsing related to ancestry. After several hours of working thing get very sluggish. What I then do is bookmark the tabs I am working on and then shutdown and restart FF. I have the history set to Remember History it and then clear it when FF closes.

I want FF to remember my sign-in information so that is why I have FF Remember History.

Is there a way to set up FF to remember the sign-in information but not remember the other browsing history so it 'fills up' my machine and slows it down? I really hope that there is but it is not obvious to me.

Hi Guys and Girls,

For the love of all that is keeping me alive at the moment please help solving the issue of spell checker not working.

I have a new MacBook Pro and setup Firfox by installing it and siging in to sync.

The spell checker does not underline the words as I type here or in Google or WhatsApp Web.

Also when I right click no language opion appears.

I does work in Gmail for some weird reason.

After follwing a suggestion of installing an add-on dictionary and resarting Firefox, no change came about.

hi. recently I have found that I can't load ebay correctly on Firefox, it loads fine on Edge. Other websites appear OK. I don't know how to describe the appearance - there are no images, only various numbered headings, and highlighted links.( I have taken a screenshot, but don't know how to save it in a format that can be loaded on to this page!). It has only been a problem for a few days. What to do??

For the past several weeks, Firefox keeps crashing randomly when loading new web pages. It shuts down the whole browser window, not just a particular tab at a time. In the past few days, it has also started to crash when a web site has already been loaded.

I have deleted all history and have only kept my bookmarks and the following extensions but it still keeps crashing: - Facebook Container - Ghostery - Privacy Ad Blocker - LastPass: Free Password Manager - uBlock Origin

I also have two disabled extensions. Not sure if they would affect anything?

Is my next step just uninstalling and reinstalling all extensions? Please let me know what else I could try!

I'm a web designer, I love firefox for develop my projects, one of the things that I love is that when i change a property value and I reload the page (F5) file css are ever updated,

Only in some cases with .js files I had to use ctrl+F5,

but now every modify I do then I hat to use ctrl+F5, why??

On multiple websites I visit, picture in picture happens automatically when I scroll past a video or click another section of a page. I find it highly annoying and distracting. I would like to disable it completely. How do I do this? I'd appreciate an answer that isn't too technical. Thanks.

So I've been having this issue where this page refuses to load properly. I've tried incognito mode without any extensions enabled, and it seems to work there, but after some additional investigation today I've discovered that it's specifically when I'm logged into my google account that the error appears. To test this, I logged into my account in an incognito window, and the document started throwing the same error again. Logging out actually makes the document work as intended, no error.

Since this doesn't happen on Chrome (I can be logged into my account and load it just fine), I figured I'd post this here asking for potential answers. Again, this happens without any extensions loaded in incognito.

I've also deleted my google cookies without any extensions enabled, then logged back in. Same effect.

Hey, I'm using the restore previous session feature. Its really helpful, but I assume since the last update it is not working properly. Whenever I use the private firefox browser (window) parallel to the normal one (window) and close the normal browser before the private one, my last active session of the normal browser is not restored.

When I close the private firefox window before the normal firefox browser window everything works fine with restoring the tabs.

Any way around? And please fix this annoying bug. Thanks!

For probably about a week now, I have not been able to read the font! I cannot change it either! It is horrible, and if we can't get it fixed I will have to use another browser! The font is faint, small and I've tried changing it several times. I don't have this problem on any other browser! In fact I totally uninstalled it this am hoping that would fix it! No such Luck!

For the Send websites a "Do Not Track" signal that you don't want to be tracked, one of the options is "Only when Firefox is set to block known trackers".

How do I set Firefox to block known trackers? How do I set Firefox to not block known trackers?

Is having Enhanced Tracking Protection ON the same thing as having Firefox set to block known trackers? So if I turn OFF Enhanced Tracking Protection, Firefox will no longer be set to block known trackers?

How do i go about restoring my old firefox data? Firefox suggested restarting the browser and once it opened back up it deleted all my extentions etc. and placed an 'old firefox data' folder on my desktop. I tried finding solutions but nothing worked. I typed in about:profile. Went to default profile. I clicked on Local Directory - Show in folder. And then pasted everything from my old firefox data folder into that. And nothing worked. Any help????

A javascript virus listed as Icelandsue.com has been installed into my firefox 79.0.

It does not show up thru regedit.

How can I delete it?

Hi, I've been experiencing quite a concerning bug (I hope) in which the Firefox Download Button Animation starts by it's self at random intervals with no warning whatsoever and no downloaded file in /Downloads.

Its been happening for a bout 2-3 weeks now I think and is beginning to worry me.

Hi. If I am browsing images on bing or google and scroll down the page, I click on an image then the page jumps back to the top. I then have to scroll down and find the image again. Does this regularly, say every 6 images I click on. I've refreshed firefox, uninstalled and reinstalled it and finally used Geek uninstall to clear the registry before I install it again with no success.

I'm using windows 10 and use Malwarebytes to clean up anything I may have picked up. Avast antivirus running. I have a suspicion it might be a windows problem as it's fairly recent, maybe a month or a bit longer. I've searched for answers but nothing really matches it. Any ideas? Apologies if I've missed the obvious, could well be a senior moment! Thank you.

Trying to make a purchase from Steam; click, click, click, get to the payment page, where I select "PayPal" as the method of payment. Get another screen that confirms proceed with PayPal; I click on "OK," and nothing happens. What's *supposed* to happen is a little popup window should open up with the PayPal login, I log in, wade through the selections, and make the payment. What *actually* happens is nothing at all. Click on "OK," and there's this "blink" and that's it. No other change to the page I'm looking at, no PayPal, no nothing... and if I persist in trying, Steam gets all uppity and tells me I've been trying to make too many purchases, try again later. Chrome handles the above scenario without any problem whatever, so the problem is not with Steam, it's with FireFox. Where should I be looking or what should I be looking for that might be preventing FireFox from doing what it should be doing? Thanks... I'm not sure what system info you need to diagnose this issue; if you'll let me know I'll be happy to dig it up and provide it.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure I can rule out my anti-virus, as again, it lets Chrome do it without problem... just not Firefox. For what that's worth....

Mozilla has an agreement with Yandex in my region. I understand the need for a sponsor, but I am very unhappy with my preferred search engine being changed to Yandex after each Firefox update without my consent or knowledge.
