Firefox browser does not open with home page set in settings. Occasioally it will. If home icon is clicked it will. Most of the time it opens with blank New Tab.

(Using Windows 10) I'm looking for a way to create separate "workspaces in Firefox for work-related stuff and personal stuff. Ideally, I want to have two Firefox windows open simultaneously. One window would be logged into my work email account (on Gmail), have access to work-related bookmarks, show custom toolbars, etc -- even a different color theme, so when I hover over the Firefox icon in taskbar, I can easily identify which workspace is which. Ditto for a personal workspace: different email accounts (one on Gmail, one on a private domain), bookmarks, toolbars, theme. I'd be able -- just by switching to a different Firefox window -- to switch between these two "workspaces", without needing to log out of one and log into another. Maybe I could even synch each workspace with the matching "user" on my Android phone, which is set up with two users, each tied with a diff email account. I could accomplish most of this by using different browsers for each workspace, but I've been using Firefox since forever, am most comfortable with it, and would love to use it for both. Is this a pipe dream?

I would like to import the stored bookmarks from my old Opera browser to my Firefox browser. When I go to 'Show all Bookmarks' under the Bookmarks tab, then select for 'Import and Backup', and finally select the 'Import Data from another Browser' my other older browsers are listed but Opera is not. How do I locate Opera then import those bookmarks? Thank you.

since a recent windows update, firefox doesnt acknowledge my normal camera. a few weeks before the update i used a temporary extra camera for a meeting on teams. i normally have meetings with zoom, teams, and a web-based teaching tool. after the update all 3 had switched to the temporary camera, which is not suitable for face-to-face. however zooms and teams offered both cameras and i was able to correct it. however firefox only shows the one (wrong) camera when i access the teaching tool. It does seem to be a browser problem, because the Edge browser does offer both camera. however I do not want to use the Edge or chrome for various privacy related reasons.

It has become impossible to use Firefox. It does not load/display captchas. All sites I visit which require a captcha verification to log in, is now inaccessible. That include google and discus. Google maps are also not responding when typing an address.

I have searched for solutions but all I tried did not solve the problem.

I now have to use two browsers, which is a senseless exercise. Please help with this problem.

I use windows 10 pro firefox v 77.1

I have set Firefox for macOS to use the default theme in which uses the system colours.

The system goes into dark mode without issue in Firefox, however, Firefox fails to go back to light mode when the system goes back. Currently it is the only application that I have this trouble with and I can not workout what the issue is.

Tried reinstalling Firefox.

I haven't heard anyone else having this issue so now wondering if there is something uniquely wrong with my system or set-up?

I teach at James Madison University and must download zip and jpg files for instruction. Sometime within the last 48 hours, Firefox would not download any jpg or zip files. For years now, this has never been an issue. The tab indicates connecting, the grey shadow passes through the tab and then nothing. I have tried this at different academic sites and the same happens. There is no problem downloading zip or jpg files using Chrome. What happened and how to fix it?

Here is my situation: I have a new pc with it's own hard drive it boots up from. I also plugged in my old hard drive from the old computer that is gone and can access files from there. How do I transfer the saved logins/passwords from the old hard drive to the new hard drive? I never had a Firefox account before so doing it through that or Lockwise is a no-go. I was able to get my Bookmarks from the old hard drive over to the new hard drive but am having trouble with the logins. Any help is appreciated!

My toolbar went missing and I can't figure out how to get it back. My bookmarks bar also disappeared and I was able to get that one back. I clicked on the "menu" but there is no option to add the toolbar, just to customize.
