Before the last Firefox update (53.0) I was able to check documents in and out from sharepoint directly from the office app (excel, power point, whatever) after having opened them through FireFox. Since the last update, that no longer works and firefox downloads the document and opens it rather than having office directly open the document from the clicked URL.

Note: in earlier versions; I had to activate the office web apps plugin before this actually worked. Firefox then asked whether I'd allow the office plugin to run, doing that gave me the desired solution.

The only thing I find related to this functionality is this plugin from microsoft: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=27106. This is however an old plugin and in the last versions of FireFox I never had to install this, it "just worked".

I hope someone will be able to help, I don't want to switch to IE or Edge as my standard work browser.

Since Firefox 52 (and 53) I have a problem at playing the videos in YouTube. That does not succeed anymore. When I go in Firefox to the YouTube website (screenprint A) and next click e.g. on the first video (Lil Kleine), then I now arrive in a screen without videoplayerscreen (screenprint B). I can hear the audio of the video of Lil Kleine, but I see nothing playing. This applies to all YouTube-videos. How can I see the videos playing again?

I have also installed on my computer Internet Explorer 11. With IE YouTube videos work fine, no problems (screenprint C).

Unfortunately uploading screenprints A, B and C to you does not work either, so I hope you understand my story without the images.

Yesterday, I have no idea how it happened but I was in the middle of working when the ability to open a new tab vanished... no more + sign available to click. Appreciate your help!

I have read all related post and tried the suggested solutions but didn't manage to solve the issue. In fact when I right-click in any text box containing more than one line, the menu doesn't even list the choice "check spelling", as explained here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-use-firefox-spell-checker

I just installed Firefox (53.0.3) and I'm on Windows 10.

I am a linguist and I am coming back to Mozilla because, from previous experiences, it handles several languages much better than other browsers! Provided that I manage to activtae the language management option...... so thanks in advance for your help!

fire fox desktop goes black. just the desktop not the task bar or taps on display, just the display. I checked my settings and scanned the fire fox program for virus found nothing. I need to shut-down and restart to get my screen back and of course anything that was being displayed is gone. It happens on any site I'm on at the time.

I used to get a option to open or save PDF files. Recently it now just automatically saves to the computer and I have to then open it. What happened to the option? It seems to justbe affecting PDF documents

I set "Widevine Content Decryption Module provided by Google Inc." in my plugins to "Never Activate" and certain sites won't play content now (ex. Netflix). I tried to go back and activate it again, but Google Widevine is now completely gone from the plugins and I can't find it by searching for it, so I have no way of activating it.

I developed a Firefox addon which is only for users in my company. So I and want to distribute the .xpi file for manual installation. Now, I uploaded the .zip file to addons.mozilla.org where the addon passes the automatic tests and I am able to sign it, which I did. After downloading the .xpi file Firefox says, that the addon can not be installed because it "appears to be corrupt".

I can't access certain sites from my laptop anymore due to a Content Encoding Error message. I've contacted the site owner in question and it's running fine. I can also access it on my other desktop computer using Firefox.

No other browsers are able to access the site, either, from my laptop. My laptop is a Windows 8. I have Avast Antivirus and Malwarebytes installed, if that makes any difference. I tried allowing the app through Windows Firewall and it didn't help.

I've tried refreshing Firefox, restoring my laptop to an earlier date, and going into the about:config menu and following steps from other articles concerning this problem. I've cleared my Cache and my Cookies. Nothing fixes it.

Does anyone have any advice? I figure it's a problem with my laptop, but I've never run across it before. Help?

I recently upgraded from Firefox 32 to 64 bit and suddenly Firefox is using up the memory of my laptop. I think it's because some websites have too many running scripts. Is there a way to limit memory per tab without using blocking software? I avoid Adblock and NoScript because it blocks too many ads. Most websites are responsible with their ads so I don't want to deny them ad revenue.

I have to use Microsoft Office 365 for my work. Suddenly (just over this weekend) I am getting an error message whenever I try; to use any of the online programs besides Outlook, such as OneDrive or Word Online:

This has never been a problem before the Memorial Day weekend. I have two Microsoft-365 accounts, and they are both giving me this error message. How do I fix it?

I should mention that I tried it on Microsoft Edge, and it worked fine. I prefer Firefox over Edge, but if I cannot access my work documents, then I will have no choice but to switch over to Edge.

What is strange is that this is happening (1) only in Firefox, and (2) only on some of our computers. We have a mixture of wired and wireless computers on our home network. I have checked computer times. Firefoxes are all running 53.0.3 on Windows 7. Setting security.ssl.enable_ocsp_stapling to false resolves the issue, but only while the setting is false.

I would like to clear cache, delete cookies and also enable/disable storage of cookies on will and by website as I am doing it in other browsers. How can I do that? I seem to remember doing this with older versions.

I looked at all help instructions but what's provided doesn't work as described. Under the pointed to icon (3 short horizontal lines), I see Cut, Copy, Paste, New Window, New Private Window, Save Page, History, Full Screen, Find, Add-Ons, Develpper, Synced Tabs and and entry for Sign in to Sync and for Customize.

There is no place in any menu where I can clear Cache, delete cookies. One can clear history under History, but the other functions disappeared. I am using ver 53.0.2 (32 bit) w. Windows 10. How can I accomplish what I need to do?

Like title states I decided to install Windows 10 Creators Update earlier today. I went out for couple hours and when I got back the update was finished. Oddly enough Firefox won't start anymore. I also tried to start Firefox holding shift button down.

First I tried to rename the Mozilla folder in AppData to 'Mozilla_backup' but that didn't help. Next I removed Firefox and reinstalled it, but nothing again changed. Firefox worked absolutely fine before upgrading to Creators Update. Also the update didn't affect Chrome or Edge.

Searching internet around didn't provide any results for my case.

I have a 'creeping' failure problem - at first it was just on my accountant's website, but it seems to be spreading to other sites. The common factor is that they are all 'secure' websites - their urls all begin with https. Instead of the website, I get a page saying "Secure connection failed. The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading". I can still acces the websites using my Linux Ubuntu machine, but it's slow and clunky - it's an old machine with limited memory - but I think this means that it's not related to my ADSL router. I don't know if the two are related, but this problem began on the same day as my Thunderbird stopped loading remote images following an update, even though remote images are enabled explicitly.

In firefox downloads if i download 10 video means i will first download(active downloads) 6 file other 4 file are in queue it will be downloaded after any 1 file finished downloading. i want to change that active downloads to 2 not 6 or any no. so that after any one file downloaded in that files 3rd files will downloaded, is that posible to change that setting in download
