I was unable to view PDF files in Firefox and would get a blank screen telling me I needed to re-install Adobe. I did that and was still unable to view PDF files in the browser window or tab.

Now that I have upgraded to the most current version of Firefox I no longer have the Adobe Reader toolbar that used to be a toolbar above a PDF file when viewing in the browser window or tab. I don't have the printer icon, floppy disc icon, email icon, page arrows to scroll up or down, the percentage for size, etc. Is there a way to be able to have this toolbar again?

Somehow my firefox icon disappeared after a restart on my computer. How do I get it back without having to reload Firefox completely and lose my bookmarks? Please email me back. Thx!

I just downloaded Firefox to my Mac. Now there is a permanent icon of Firefox on my desktop. Not the Firefox icon though, it is a blue diskdrive icon with a white fox on it.

Also, when I open Firefox a window opens up that has another firefox icon with an arrow beside it pointing to my Applications folder. This happens everytime I open firefox.

How do I get rid of these?

I can't get rid of somoto as default homepage. Somoto doesnt appear in the list of searching and also not as installed software in my computer or as addons of firefox

On the symbol that is supposed to take me back to home, it takes me instead to http://searchqu.com/414. I always have my home page a "blank". I changed it back to blank several times and it just changed back to the search/qu thing.

Advanced settings in Privacy Options does not allow me to set how long I want my history to remain. Can this be done.? History has to be manually deleted if I want to keep anything longer than when I close firefox or else it hangs on to everything until I do the manual delete. Any suggestions gratefully accepted. I can manage passwords using tools -> Options BUT the little 'key' icon, shown in the instructions, is not visible anywhere on my toolbars. (I have ALL of the toolbars displayed.)

I was trying to copy/cut a link from my Address Bar, and I must have hit some really obscure keyboard shortcut and messed up how the address bar shows webpage URLs. Now it shows them over to the right side instead of the left. Here's a picture of what it looks like:

This absolutely bothers me and I want my URLs to be back toward the left. How do I fix this? What weird CTRL or CTRL+SHIFT command did I hit?

Some complex web sites such as Huffington Post dot com home page load slowly . When they finally load and you attempt to open a tab, several refuse to load. The blue circle just keeps going round and round in a clockwise direction. The prompt box at the lower left of the screen says " Waiting for " or "Reading" or "transferring from" and the name of another web site that apparently contributes to the page. But nothing happens for several minutes. The most common one 'hanging up' is something called pixel.quantserve.com. Multiple attempts "Reloading Tab" do not help. This problem is not present in Internet Explorer itself. Have run AVG anti-virus multiple times and no viruses have been found.

When I use Firefox as my browser, and then go into Yahoo mail or my Tricare Medical Account or Google Maps and print out either an email message, a payment summary notice, or map directions, the print font comes out very small, almost unreadable. If I do the same things using IE8 as my browser, the print font comes out normal (Times New Roman 11 I think) as I have always had it and it is easy to read. How do I get the Firefox print front back to the normal size?

I keep getting the message telling me to enable third party cookies. The instructions for how to do so tell me to choose the options feature from the tools drop down menu, then to click on "privacy" and check a certain box that would enable cookies. This check box is not on the privacy menu. What do I do?

As soon as Firefox has been load, its name doesn't appear in the URL bar. Instead, there always is that http://www.searchqu.com/406.

I recently downloaded something from a website and it of course showed up in my download list. For some reason I wasn't paying attention and downloaded it a second time. After opening the download I realized I didn't even need the download. I can't remove it from the list. I don't want to hit clear list because I still want a record of the items I have downloaded. Please help if you can.

I know the whole issue about the alt text fiasco. However, on my laptop, the title attribute does not display either. It works fine on other computer's firefox, but not this one. I assume it might be something in my settings, or an add-on getting in the way, but looking through about:config doesn't show anything, and deactivating all add-ons solves nothing. What more information do I need to provide to help with this?

The "URL of affected site" is the XKCD website, which uses the title attribute to display commentary for each comic (sometimes as an additional joke). I have to currently right click and view image properties, but that's more cumbersome than it should be.

I have downloaded the beta 5 version and for some odd reason I cant play sounds anymore, even after I downgraded back to version 4 - youtube.com plays videos but no sound. I have all latest flash plugins installed. sound works on all other browsers

In the past if I used adobe reader 8 or 9 the adobe toolbar would always show in Mozilla when I open a PDF. It seems with adobe 10 the adobe toolbar is not displayed on the top of the page it has a toolbar at the bottom that hides and can be put on the top of the page only when you have it open at that time
