I have some kaspersky addons that are disabled, because they cannot be verified. Trouble is, I know these addons are good, and would like to re-enable them.

I'm using Firefox 43.0.3 at the moment.

I found an answer saying I needed to change a config setting for Firefox, from requiring addons to be signed, from true to false. Trouble is, that answer didn't tell me where to find this setting.

That said, I have no trouble with this setting. If it wasn't blocking my antivirus addons, I wouldn't even be asking this question. Is it possible to change this setting, to allow my antivirus addons, and verify everything else?

I have been using Firefox for years and have had no issue. Tonight, when I try to go to my normal websites (AOL mail, Etsy, etc.) I receive an error message of:

This Connection is Untrusted

You have asked Firefox to connect securely to my.screenname.aol.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.

What Should I Do?

If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.

my.screenname.aol.com uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is not trusted because it was signed using a signature algorithm that was disabled because that algorithm is not secure.

(Error code: sec_error_cert_signature_algorithm_disabled)

I have tried updating Firefox, I have run a security check, I have search the forums...I have not found a solution for this error code.

What am I able to do?

For this web site: http://ulsterhabitat.org/ in the post Ulster Habitat News (facebook) (third image, first small one), the link to the facebook page will only open if: I right click on it and choose "open in new tab" (It does not matter if I give focus to the new tab or not), then I left click on the link and it works. If I left click on the link first, nothing happens. (link says "Ulster Habitat Facebook").

What I have done: run in safe mode, refreshed Firefox, reinstalled Firefox 43.0.3 (with all profile data removed - as clean as could be) with no extensions, altered settings or add-ons. Behavior is always the same.

System is Windows 7 Pro, latest up-to-date version, but Firefox also does this on a W7 Home system, and a W10 Home system, both with latest Firefox. No Firefox extensions or add-ons on the W10 machine.

Bonus: Chrome 47.0.2526.106 does not do this (it opens the link immediately). IE 11.0.26 does just what Firefox does. It would seem to me that the link should either work or not work, but not depend on opening in a new tab first. Fascinated by this. Thank you. Tim

The FireFox 64 bit version 43.0.3 is not working with ANY Flash videos or streaming audio. This is a likely a serious broken code bug with the sandbox that cripples the 64 bit version for all practical purposes--it makes it unusable for anything that requires Flash. I have already submitted several crash reports when prompted.

I am running Win7 64bit, SP1 all up to date. I uninstalled and deleted the folders for my 32 bit completely, then performed a fresh install and created a new profile from scratch to troubleshoot this. No script blocking or any other plugins that would block connections or sites were installed, and any remnant folders from FF 32bit were deleted.

This is the consistent error generated:

TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at flash.external::ExternalInterface$/_callIn() at Function/<anonymous>()

Troubleshooting Steps: In access:config type "plugins" (no quotes)

dom.ipc.plugins.sandbox-level.default - for all plugins (default is 1 (for x64 FF), max 3, disabled - 0 (default for 32-bit FF))

dom.ipc.plugins.sandbox-level.flash - only for flash (default is 2 (for x64 FF), max 3, disabled - 0 (default for 32-bit FF))

Set both sandboxes to 1, and plays, but crashes when the stream is paused or stopped. Changed the plugin sandbox default to 0, the flash set to 0 (disabled) Went through all possible sandbox level combinations (closing and reopening browser to reset after each change) with no effect.

Does not work with the Primetime CDM plugin Active or disabled and no other Flash installed. When installed, current Shockwave Flash plugin (version 20.x.x), set to Always, or Never Activate fails. Set Shockwave to ask every time and manually approving the request works initially, then generates the error and crashes during playback. Error message continues to pop up after closing.

Test sites/files: www.slacker.com/station/song-of-the-year YouTube: Any video. Using plugin YouTube Flash-HTML5 set to HTML5 --works without issues. The Flash setting crashes or does not play at all.

For the benefit of others aTemporary Workaround: If you have Internet Explorer 11 installed: Use the "Open in IE" extension with the current Adobe Flash ActiveX plugin--Verify that ActiveX filtering in IE is turned off. Everything plays normally. No crashes during playback or after closing a file.

I cannot guarantee it will work if you also install script/ad blockers or things like Disconnect. But that leaves you open to intrusive ads, hijacking, and injected malware.

After being fairly reliable up until version 41, I now regret permanently deleting my FireFox 32bit, but I did archive my old profile in case I want to reinstall the Win32 version clean again. FEBE is my friend. This 64 bit version is not yet ready for primetime. The FireFox team needs to address as their highest priority if they want to actually transition to HTML5 video/audio playback before most of the rest of the world has actually done it.

Hi guys:

I'm having some issues for the last few days when trying to send files via Whatsapp web with Firefox 43.0.3. This used to work flawlessly until a couple of days ago. Whenever I try to send a photo or a video, and I click on that option, nothing happens.

I have tried to do the same with Chrome and it seems to be working just fine, as a popup menu shows up and I can select a file to be sent.

Could someone else check if they have the same issue with Firefox?

Or more specifically, when I start up a new session, I'm always brought to the "enter your password to continue" screen (Screenshot attached in case you're not sure what page I mean)

Now Firefox remembers my password so it's not exactly hard to just click "Sign In" but it's more a convenience thing, and bewilderment that my FF install on another of my PC's isn't having the same issue. I thought it may be an issue with the GMail notifier I was using (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/fastest-notifier-for-gmail/) so I disabled that and restarted FF. No success.

I've attempted to clear my cookies for google three times, one just deleting the google.com cookies, second deleting them all internally via FF and the last time removing cookies.sqlite file in case that was corrupt or similar. However all three of these attempts after signing in to Google and restarting Firefox bring me back to the login screen on my next browsing session.

This is exclusive to Google however, other websites I use only log me out when the relevant cookie expires so I'm not sure what Google's cookies are doing differently to other sites to cause this.

Hopefully one of you guys has a good idea of what's going on and are not as stumped as I am!

I use the saved passwords feature. When I change my passwords, Firefox asks if I want to update the saved password. This is useful and I wish to keep this feature.

However, within the past few days I'd say, Firefox started asking if I wanted to update passwords that have NOT changed. The username and password are the same as they were a week ago, and have been the same all week, yet every time I use them, Firefox asks if I want to update the password. It is really irritating, and raises security questions.

Now I understand that FF doesn't let it's common user access certain websites for security reasons, and to start off I should say I appreciate Firefox because it seems to be the last browser allowing some customization and accessability for advanced users, not like Chrome or any Chromium form will let you do what Firefox will.

But I have this issue, FF decided that it wont let me create an exception for a banned websites. I'm assuming that the fact that I visit this forum will make me a non-desirable clientele for Mozilla, but I have had issues with posting on 4chan.org. Particularly every time I try to upload the communication gets cut off by Mozilla and strangely enough it won't even let me access certain parts like /banned section. When I add the exception and reload it apparentaly forgots the exception or just straight away never writes it down.

Is there a way to turn off this security protection as a whole? I have my own antivirus programs and any protection from FF is either very inconvinient or straight annoying.

I reinstalled and reset FF to factory settings multiple times, cleared cache, did everything I could, but FF still behaves the same.

Hi, I'm not able to open any link or website from my firefox. I reset my Mozilla but still the problem is same. I'm only able to visit social networking site like facebook, twitter, whatsapp web and mozilla support website. Other than that i'm not able to visit any other website. Please help me.

Downloading attempts from "https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/" for 43.0.3 all point to 43.0.,1 download instead of 43.0.3 files

I am unable to preview pdf's in Firefox. in Options/applications pdfs are set to "preview in Firefox" I uninstalled Adobe Acrobat from my computer in case that was causing problems, but it did not help.

My Bookmarks Toolbar is blank [pic - top] And when I try to add a new bookmark, it disappears after I close and open Firefox again

This happened on two computers after I did a OneClick Optimizer using BitDefender Total Security 2016 (Some things that came up include Firefox cache and Firefox cookies issues) [pic bottom left]

In Library (window) > All bookmarks > Bookmarks Toolbar .. all my bookmarks are there from before and after the OneClick Optimizer [pic - bottom right]

How do I make all my bookmarks appear back onto my Bookmarks Toolbar ?

Yes i signed in. Yes i sync my account. Yes it did finished synchronization. Yes i restart browser. What's a point in my account in firefox and this stupid sync if it's not working? I'm really angry and disappointed.

I am trying to get a file folder from the documents file in Windows 7 64Bit to an e-mail on Centurylink, my provider, with Firefox by using either drop/drag or copy/paste. IT will not work. I believe the problem is in Windows 7, because I have tried two other browsers with the same results.

Started Dec 27. Firefox process doesn't close, hangs and then crashes. Still crashes after refreshing firefox, crashes in safe mode and crashes with hardware acceleration off. Starting Firefox makes annoying drop down notice "Your Firefox is out of date. Update now for better performance and security." No S*** Sherlock and the reason is that dev team has ruined the browser bit by bit the last five years so I stopped updating after the tab groups were removed and the ah so familiar "use an add-on" answer was given.

So about:config value to disable this notice is all I need?

I often have multiple Firefox instances running with multiple tabs. For some reason, and I cannot find a pattern, Firefox randomly comes to the foreground stealing focus.

I have Googled this issue but cannot find anything current that addresses my problem. I'm running Windows 10, with a clean install. I had this issue before I did a clean install when I was running several other browsers and this issue only happens with Firefox.

This is incredibly irritating behavior as I can be working on a document or in coding when Firefox pops to the foreground. Or I can be in Firefox reading, when another instance pops to the foreground. As much as I prefer Firefox, if I cannot stop this, I'll be uninstalling soon.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Ive lost access to my Gmail account and need to know the date I created it. In Firefox history I can see dates for bookmark listings but not for history listings. I am able to see all listings in history-older than 6 months in perfect order and have located the listing/s that indicate when the Gmail account was made but can't see or get any dates. Also anything I select in the 'Show column or sort' doesn't work.

Please Help!!!
