FaceBook will not remember my LOGIN (e-mail). (Browser is Mozilla FireFox) - Recently reset Password (not login) for FB - Never changed the LOGIN - subsequently FB kept telling me that my Password was incorrect and had been changed - Went into Menu - Security - Remember passwords and deleted "old" FB password. The "old entry" had BOTH the LOGIN and the Password. The "new" entry only shows the new PASSWORD - does not show the LOGIN. Any information I can find pertains to saving the Password only. Each time I log out and then log back into the site - it now remembers my Password - but not the LOGIN. When I enter the correct LOGIN - there is NO dialog box asking if I want to "Remember this LOGIN or Password" - Have cleared cookies and cache - still NADA - and that's not National Auto !!

Lots of well-meaning folks sending me to links that say "Login and Password" - but seem to ONLY deal with Passwords and not the LOGIN!! Help !! Thanks - BigJohn

Windows XP service pack 3. Just updated to Firefox 38.0.1. Now Firefox won't close using the X icon in the upper right (white uppercase X in red square). Have to Alt + F4 to close or right click on Firefox at bottom to left click on close.

This is looking more like a website issue rather than browser problem, but can you tell me whether there might be a Firefox setting that is affecting this behavior? When shopping for yarns online, I often open various color images in separate windows to see which look better together. I've come across a page that won't allow me to do that for many of the images -- instead, the message pops up: > You have chosen to open: > [filename].zoom.1.jpg > which is: Binary File > from: http://cdno1.yarn.com > would you like to save this file? > Cancel / Save File The page is http://www.yarn.com/webs-anniversary-sale-weaving-yarns/webs-weaving-yarns-valley-yarns-rayon-chenille/. To incur the error, I hit ctrl + enter while the cursor is on the hourglass image and then select either Open Link in New Tab (or New Window). Copying the image link and entering it into the URL bar also brings up the same error message for the affected items. I added "yarn.com" and "cdno1.yarn.com" to my list of exceptions to the popup blocker, but that didn't make a difference, nor did opening Firefox in Safe Mode.

I've recently had to erase and reinstall my laptop OS, so I've lost my preferred settings for Firefox and I'm trying to sort out and fix any unexpected behaviors. I'm currently using Mac OS X 10.6.8 and the latest version of Firefox. (I can't seem to access that information in Safe Mode, but 38.0 sounds about right.)

Any help is appreciated.

I've been using new firefox Sync since it's was implemented with no problem. I got this error after doing the following steps:

1)Replaced old disk with new SSD disk and installed Windows 7 drivers etc + Firefox 2) Deleted AAA@***.com Firefox Sync account 3) Created BBB@***.com Firefox Sync account 4) Imported my latest bookmarks from E:\Users\***\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\****.default\bookmarkbackups folder from old disk.

Since then every time I open Firefox I get the above error. If I enter the password in "Firefox Sync" sync works fine till next time I restart Firefox.

I believe I have tried all solutions proposed on firefox support forums and Firefox Sync Troubleshooting. Amongst others I have:

1) done Firefox Refresh 2) deleted signedInUser.json, restarted firefox with add-ons disabled, Forget Firefox Sync account, Reconnect to account 3) Deleted Firefox Sync Account and Recreated it 4) Uninstalled completely firefox with Revo Uninstaller, Deleted C:\Users\*****\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\ folder, reinstalled firefox.

Using Firefox 38.0.1, it automatically updated, I am signed into sync but my bookmarks have gone from the bookmarks toolbar. They are not in the bookmarks folder. Any idea where they have gone? I hope they have not been deleted as I didn't back them up cos I have sync to look after that. They have gone in Linux Mint Rebecca & Win 7.

- Browsing in a Private Browsing window - Settings are set to... open link in a new window (which should be a new private browsing window) - I click the link on a site - New private window opens the link in a pop-up window ... with no scrollbar/menubar/bookmark bar/etc... I can maximize the window size, but have no way to see the lower part of the page.... [ see attached capture]

NOTE... it states at the top of that capture Private Browsing... The scrollbars/menubar/bookmark bar are gone., That capture is a pop-up....it is suppose to be a new private browsing window/web page.

- This is definitely a bug in the last upgrade. - using ver 38.0.1 - Browsing in a normal window works fine...that link opens in a new window fine, as is expected. , but something's broken when browsing in private windows. - Resetting mozilla did not fix the problem.

and when i thought it had attached, and i pressed "send", it didn't send/it just put the email in draft folder. When i used Chrome, NO problems- the attachment attached and I sent the email. I waited and tried again, same things happened. I checked the recommendations from a prior Mozilla helper, and I already had those settings he had suggested/so Firefox is having issues with yahoomail.

so you know, i am running a old Compaq V6000 with XP Pro at this time

The latest update to Firefox has crashed numerous time on me today. Here are the most recent crash ID's:

When I click on options, the options page shows, but I cannot change anything. I first noticed when I tried to change my home page by adding a tab and the change did not take effect. Today when I brought up the Options page I noticed that I could not change anything and could not go to any of the tabs on the Options page other than General. No amount of clicking on the page did anything. I am using Windows 8.1 and have successfully used Firefox for years.

Firefox 38.0.1 loads previously opened session/tabs as new tabs after crashing. PS. the only solution regarding this problem is regarding ver. 34, 35, which talking about finding sessionstore.js which i cant find. i assume that there is a new way to solve this problem in ver. 38. here is the link for it "https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1018501#answer-625192"

I use the windows On screen keyboard 95% of the time. And I like to place it generally in the middle of the window when using it. When I need to type into the search box, and even though the On screen keyboard is set to Always On Top, it always goes UNDER the dropdown search suggestions list, which blocks my ability to keep typing. I then have to stop typing and move the OSK to the right or left beyond the right or left edge of the search box, or move it to the very top of the window or very bottom out of the way of the dropdown. This then highlights the text I've already typed, forcing me to click at the end of it or start over (once I've moved the OSK out of it's way). Even if I have search suggestions turned off there is still a dropdown that blocks the OSK (the position/size/length of the search box along the top and the position of the OSK are where I like them bc of my poor vision). The address bar does the same thing. I want to know if there is a way to keep the dropdown search box UNDER the OSK while I'm typing? It's a long question I apologize, but it's a bit wordy to describe. see the photo and I'm sure you'll understand what I'm talking about. The OSK is always set to "Always On Top" in Win 7 prem.

When I start Firefox I want it to load the cached version of my tabs. It used to do this, but now it refreshes the tabs when it starts up. I have tried starting in safe mode and it also refreshes the tabs when it starts. I have set browser.cache.check_doc_frequency=2, so it should us the cached to load the tabs, but it is not. This change only happened in the last few month.

It load with other browsers by not with Firefox on either of my two computers or with my android.

My XP OS was loading fine this am; but after I updated my Firefox, it stopped loading. Here is my site. http://weareisrael.org/

Is it possible that the new version does not like the plugin called "jQuery Vertical Mega Menu?"
