For some reason, since I updated to version 3.6 of Firefox, JavaScript no longer works.

I have checked existing help files which asked me to check the Options under the Tools menu.

These are my settings, which should work, but do not:

1. On the Content tab, "Enable JavaScript" is checked. 2. Under advanced options, the following are checked:

    a) Move or resize existing windows
    b) Disable or replace context menus

Theoretically this should work, but does not. Scripts simply fail to execute. Any assistance you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Description

I used to be able to starting typing a web address whenever I opened a new tab. But ever since I did a Firefox update, now I get this address whenever I open a new tab: chrome://vuze_remote/content/aboutTabs.htm. So then I have to select that address and delete it before I can start typing a link in the window. How do I get the address window to be blank again when I open a new tab?

when i click on a text or on a web page the flashing icon that you get when typing in a text box appears. I have been on other firefox browsers and they do not have this. how do i get rid of it?

My firefox spellcheck doesn't seem to be working; that's assuming it exists at all.For example when I misspell a word when composing an email, using hotmail and I try to correct it using hotmail's spellcheck, I get a message saying that I'm using a browser that has it's own inbuilt spellcheck. If it's inbuilt how on earth do I find it?

Until recently, I could get a preview of the text in a message board thread by scrolling over the thread link. A short while ago, this feature stopped working. Now when I scroll over the thread, a small box appears under the cursor, but no text.

If, by accident, I click on the bottom part of Firefox (above Windows´ taskbar) the browser sort of minimizes and I can´t reopen it, I have to cancel everything I´m doing. As I usually work with many tabs, a pop-up asks me if I want Firefox to save my tabs for next start, and I click on "Yes", but then, when I open it, I can´t restore them at all, even if I go to History-> Recently Closed tabs...

How can I solve this???

Please, I´d really appreciate it if you could help me, because this is so annoying, and makes me waste a lot of time!

This is a recent problem, when printing from a Website in Firefox (this is only happening on my Desktop Machine with Windows 7 not my laptop using the same printers) The problem is independent of which printer I use. There is a small amount of information on each page spread over many pages. There is no problem at all when printing from my regular programs only from a Fire Fox website. This is not happening when I print from Microsoft Internet Explorer.

The box is above the sites tabs and below the toolbars and is taking up a lot of space. There doesn't seem to be a place to close the box and it just sits there running.

Its great that you've updated your release schedule and are innovating at such a fast pace.

But youv'e got to remember that you need to provide setup files to all the older versions of firefox for testing purposes. I found an old copy of 3.6.7, I got 5, I will probably get 6 soon when you update it, but I can't find a reliable trustworthy source for firefox 4.

How do I get my tools back on top - no backward/forward, no VIEW, no tools, no bookmarks - nothing. I have tried opening in safe mode and start-run as instructed but the same empty top of the page opens.

My browser was automatically updated to version 3.6.7. After this update, I am unable to switch between tabs by clicking on them. I can close whichever tab I wish, but this is a major inconvenience to have to close a tab I wish to continue browsing.
