Since yesterday (23/11/13), everytime I open a new tab on my desktop, I get the Bing page instead of the firefox tabbed page.

Tried a system restore, still it is there.

How can I get rid of it?

when I click for a new tab in the browser, it loads 'search.conduit.com'. This is in the variable 'newtab.url'. I would like to get rid of search.conduit. I have read to existing help material but still don't understand how to change newtab.url.

I want to write a script to use firefox to download information on a series of addresses on a street. For example: 101 State St, 102 State St, 103 State St, ... etc. The script will cycle through the addresses and streets on interest. Does firefox.exe accept command line parameters that define a specific web page, and data to be filled in to that page?

Recently I got hooked on reading articles from a UK site, but recently when I click on article links I'm automatically redirected to the American site and its content instead! I live in the US but hate the American site articles and much prefer the British ones. Initially my only solution was to stop the article while loading in order to remain on the desired article link but as of late that fails and I am automatically redirected to the American pages instead (ugh...).

I currently use Firefox 25.0 on Windows 7 Home Premium and have checked the "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page" box under the Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Accessibility section but was still redirected. I have also installed the add-on Refresh Blocker v0.8 but was still redirected. The website is http://www.denofgeek.com but when I select an article on their main page or categories I'm redirected to the http://www.denofgeek.us "equivalent". As a precaution I have run a malware scan but came up clean and have deleted all cookies and temporary internet files, but once again it was all in vain.

Is there anything else I can do to avoid redirection? Or has this site officially lost a reader? Any help is well appreciated.

For no apparent reason my pinned tabs keep disappearing from Firefox. This has happened three times now. I haven't synced to any device. I keep my history and don't clear it.

have tried any firefox suggested remedies - still no access to facebook or any other search engine to help with problem. I was in a Forum with IE8, but am now using Firefox (IE8 wasn't working). I can't get signed into this other forum (something for WordPerfect), and their automatic reply said if I were using IE9 or IE 10 to use compatibility mode.

When I try an google certain web sites including "NFL" firefox freezes and I get the unresponsive script chrome:/wrc/content/common/scripts/bal.js:854". I uninstalled Google Chrome but still have the same problem.

With each new version you suck a little bit more.

You have become as bad as google, updating and changing for no good reason, in a race to the bottom with yourself.

The whole reason I started using Firefox is because it worked, now after thousands of installs and convincing users to ditch IE you have become just as bad.

I now restart Firefox a dozens times a day on the 3 machines I use daily. The memory requirements are staggering and FF is now SLOW.

First thing out of the box you will say "you have too many add ons", sorry, I only use one, noscript and not even that on 2 of the three machines.

Three tabs open and nearly 600,000K and using 1-12% CPU just to type this text.

Don't bother with an answer, just clean up your mess. In the alternative we can all wait for someone to come along and eat your lunch. Give me a browser that WORKS and I will forget Firefox ever existed.

I am running OSX 10.9 Maverick on a Macbook Pro . I observe this problem in Firefox 25.1 The scroll bars in any application window all dissapear after about a second. If you resize the window or select an item with subdirectories in a list, the scroll bar in the pane you are in reappears, but it does not dwell long enough to allow you to move a cursor over it. (What is the point of making it dissapear anyway?) Two finger scrolling does not work for some reason, using a function and direction key or just a direction key works to scroll only in some websites but not all of them. This little bit of cleverness, if intentional is both un-needed and dysfunctional.

I'm randomly losing the ability to scroll using the mouse. I launch Firefox and it works fine, then after a varying amount of time it stops and the only way it comes back is by restarting Firefox. Today it isn't taking long for it to happen after launching.

I'm on the latest version of Firefox in Mac OS X Maverick and I'm using the following extensions all in the latest version,

• Adblock Plus • DoNotTrackMe • Firebug • Xmarks

I first tried disabling all the plugins, didn't help. I just tried resetting Firefox, again didn't help.

I haven't noticed this behavior in any other programs thus I'm thinking it's Firefox.

I have been having trouble watching YouTube videos in Firefox over the last few weeks. Basically, the video will start up and if i keep it in the small video player mode it works fine. But if I click full screen the video will stop for several seconds, then catch up and repeat this to the end of the video. However the sound always plays continually throughout the video, even while the picture is frozen. I do not have this issue in Internet Explorer or Google Chrome, and it is only happening on one of three computers that I use Firefox on. I have run full scans in Malwarebytes Anti Malware, Kaspersky Internet Security, and Windows Defender, so i am fairly certain that it is not malware or a virus that is causing the problem. I have also tried the following solutions to no avail: Reset Firefox, Run Firefox in safe mode with no addons, Reinstall Firefox (plus another clean reinstall), Reinstall Flash player

I just can't seem to figure out what is wrong, and Firefox is my favorite browser so any help would be much appreciated.

My cat ran across my keyboard a month ago and the "home" icon disappeared from the top right corner of my screen. I have not figured out how to get the icon back. As of now, I have to close Firefox and open it again instead of clicking the "home" icon to get there. How can I restore the icon?

I suddenly can't copy and paste text from Word to the internet (Firefox or Chrome, email or other websites), but I can do the reverse. Any ideas? Copy and paste works between Word docs, and it works between internet sites (e.g., web page to email), just not from Word to the internet. Please help. I need to copy and paste my resume for an online job application.

Before your Firefox Help question (Although I enabled cookies google tells me I need to enable cookies or clear cache./cookie mismatch)

I have installed Adobe SVG Viewer 3.03, what I need for my work (to see correctly SVG-based websites). But new Firefox 25 doesn't recognize this plugin. How to install SVG Viewer plugin for Firefox 25? Or anybody could suggest another, newer plugin instead of SVG Viewer 3?

When I open a video from a website or Youtube, it will not continue to play unless I keep moving the mouse. I use a wireless mouse. Same problem occurs for downloads. If I don't move the mouse the downloads freezes. This is only happening on Firefox. I do not have this problem with Internet Explorer. I have tried resetting firefox, doing a complete search and clean with Winzip, trying all the tips on your help page, but nothing works. Can you offer a simple solution? I am not a PC wiz so the simpler the better.
