I made sure everything was synced and my account logged in prior to reinstalling windows. I log into the same account and nothing is there. Help! How can I recover the bookmarks and history that are clearly selected in my profile?

I have to install firefox new everyday on a library computer, (short answer mine was stolen and I can't replace it for now).

Anyway used to have no problem I would go in install firefox sign in and my bookmarks were repopulated. Today I installed firefox and nothing. No bookmarks, no add ons nothing its like a blank install with new profile.

I do not have a backup saved profile on this computer as it is a virtual machine and each day when it shuts down it wipes the programs and data installed. Because firefox repopulated the bookmarks each day when I re-installed it I was not aware I needed to create my own backup I assumed that it was just something in firefox that worked well and another reason why I prefere to use it.

Until today it was not an issue once I signed in everything would re appear but today its all gone. Is there anyway to recover this as it is very important that I do. I use these bookmarks a lot.

On my MacOS 10.15.7 system I upgraded from 125.0.2 to FF 126.0 this afternoon. When I started the new version of FF and acknowledged the "downloaded app OK" dialog all the tabs opened as expected except for WordsWithFriends (on Facebook). WWF draws the full board just fine but then throws a less than descriptive error message: "an error occurred. Please refresh." That is an infinite loop as it will return the same error no matter how many times retry is pressed. I logged out of FB and back in, just in case. No change. FB pages show fine, btw. Closed 126.0 and tried downgrading back to 125.0.2. That version with no longer load (or any of the previous four I had on hand). Consumes 100% of the CPU for about six minutes and then changes to Unresponsive in the Activity Monitor. WWF works fine in Safari and Chrome for what that is worth.

My computer has been having some problems lately: Any rough handling might trigger the computer to shut off instantly or restart automatically. This is likely a hardware issue, probably a loose battery or something. The Firefox-related issue is that sometimes, upon turning the computer back on, something odd happens to my browser session: It is set back to three months earlier. The recent browsing button show everything having been browsed three months ago; but when I check my history, all my most recent tabs are there. This is tedious whenever it happens, as I have to spend about an hour manually opening everything I've lost (that I want to keep) from history. If there's a way to bulk re-open a bunch of tabs, I don't know how. All that has become something of a routine annoyance (it happens maybe once every two months) but I'd gotten used to it and it wasn't really an urgent problem. Today, however, I dropped my phone on my laptop, triggering a restart and a blue screen with a message that said something like "we're cleaning things up for you." It's what usually happens when I drop something on or accidentally elbow my thinkbad. (More commonly I move my computer a little bit and it just shuts off completely, goes black.) Before this happened I was due a firefox update, and I found it had done so when I turned my computer back on. I realised immediately that I had lost some tabs, and I assumed that it was just a three month setback. Upon opening my recent browsing though, I found out with horror that I'd been set back nine months. I cannot restore from a nine month period manually. I don't have the time, energy or willpower. I'm asking here if anyone knows how to bulk restore tabs from history or how to restore my session to how it was just a few hours ago. Thanks

I recently deleted pwnedpasswords.com from my cookies, as well as blocked this website; however, it keeps reappearing in my list of cookies.

I've never even visited this site (that I'm aware of), and it's a bit concerning to me.

In spite of clearing ALL my cookies (and blocking this website), it keeps appearing in my list!

Please advise :)

Since Firefox update to 126.0 yesterday, any video I try to view from the Eurosport website has lost about the top third of the video. Prior to the update, I didn't have this problem with viewing the videos in Firefox, and if I access the website and videos using the MS Edge browser, the videos display correctly. See screen shots below from Firefox and Edge.

When I click on a new tab, I get this black Google Search page, which I want to go to open my homepage. When I click on home, it does open my homepage. The image is attached. Any help on how to get rid of it would be appreciated. I do use New Tab Override, but it doesn't seem to be working.

I have search and have seen screen shots. But not actually how to do it. In firefox the Application Menu "the three lines or the Hamburger." How do you move it to the Left side of the screen instead on the default location on the top right. Also please correct me if this is not possible. And thank you in advance. I am on the latest version and currently using windows 10.

Hey there. To get straight to the point, whenever I am watching a YouTube video on Firefox in full screen, every so often the screen goes black then slowly fades back in. I have no idea how to fix this issues and it is not my computer that is causing it (doesn't happen on other browsers, my computer was tested for a variety of problems and nothing was wrong, etc). I have also looked through Firefox Reddit help pages and the support articles on the Firefox support website but have found nothing to help. Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated! So yesterday I downloaded a bunch of files to mod a game. This warning appeared and since then it's been popping up every time I start the browser. I have cleared all cookies related to the relevant sites. I have removed the warning about unwanted and uncommon software. I would rather not clear all my cookies and data to resolve this, so looking for other suggestions first. I don't mind digging through files or code to make it happen.

I have looked around the Internet for similar issues, but most of them appear to address the moronic F11 full-screen problem. I'd be grateful to know if a 'tabs bar' option remains in FF126, and if so, how to enable it. Many thanks.

I can’t seem to open any Word files in Firefox. Doesn’t matter if it’s a new file or an old one, it just won’t open. What’s weird is that it takes me to a OneDrive page saying the file doesn’t exist or isn’t available. But when I switch to Google Chrome, everything works fine.

I use the Kindle Cloud Reader (https://read.amazon.com/kindle-library) to access and read ebooks in my Amazon Kindle library. Since the latest Firefox update something is preventing my ebooks from opening correctly. The ebooks open, but only a single page appears and none of the navigation controls load.

Amazon support suggested trying a different browser. I loaded the Edge browser and had no problems opening my ebooks. I prefer to use the Firefox browser so I hope you can fix this issue.

The last Firefox update, 126.0 (64bit), that was installed 2 days ago has caused various website's commentary or forums to not be displayed. For example, Yahoo finance page, attempting to read the "community" section of a particular stock such as Walmart (WMT) nothing is displayed. This happens also on news websites that allow commentary. Google Chrome does display commentary but I don't like using Google.

This is not the first time commentary has not being displayed after an update. Happened a couple of times last year.

The desktop pc is running Windows 11, version 23H2.

How do I delete all traces of FireFox. I did the "remove program" but when I reinstall it is remembering that I once had Firefox installed so that tells me it has NOT fully removed all traces of Firefox. So please tell me how to remove everything. I keep getting errors that I don't get when I use other browsers, so there is some sort of issue with Firefox so I absolutely need to remove EVERYTHING. There must be some hidden files that the uninstall program is NOT finding. I need all profiles, files, bookmarks etc GONE!!!!! so I can do a new install. PS The REFRESH did not fix my issues so please don't offer that as a potential solution.

After loading the pop-up blocker extension I cannot access many links inmy email. Suggestions?

Tried uninstalling, selected to not include previous settings and reinstalled. Still having a problem.

Possible conflict with my firewall? How do I uninstall pop-up blocker?

Hello, all the sudden, news site comments don't show and after research here I learned it might be enhanced protection tracking settings. I tried all the settings and nothing seems to work well (not tech savvy). Strict = user comments blocked and all the other settings allow so many ads they cover content and/or there are a hundred on a page. On a desktop. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Hi, not sure the best place to ask, but it's been an ongoing issue since 2022. I kind of believe a shift in Intel has caused some of these issues, but probably not important (and I've already contacted them and did not get anywhere) at the moment.

Essentially, having Firefox running crashes the Intel UHD Graphics system, typically it is the UHD 620, but I believe I have some systems with a UHD 630. On Windows, I get a blank screen for 1.5 seconds, on macOS it crashes the entire Mac. I...I have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact I'm the only one with the issue and has occurred on multiple computers over a period of 18 months. The systems in question include the following:

Dell Optiplex 5040 MT - Fixed by putting a GTX 1650 in its 16x slot. Dell Optiplex 5060 MFF Dell Latitude 7290 Dell Latitude 7490 MSI GF63 (9th generation revision) MacBook Air 2020 w/ Intel i3 under macOS.

The thing is, with the exception of the MacBook, PCs don't report any issues apart from a "Hardware Failure" within the Reliability Monitor and the aforementioned screen shutoff. With World of Warcraft I'm able to reproduce the issue consistently under both DX11 and DX9, but Firefox not so much. I do see it occurring only on YouTube videos on the MacBook and is more common to occur on PC, but I have also had it happen on normal browsing.

I can turn off hardware acceleration and have done so, but I do wonder how much of an impact it will make on power efficiency on say, battery power. Would be something that should be fixed and I would like to put effort into getting it resolved, but I have no idea where to start. All drivers are up to date, Intel Boost is disabled (and I wonder if having it set as so causes this, though the MSI has no such BIOS setting) and it only occurs on Windows PCs with Windows 11.
