Hi, I have a problem with Youtube playback on my machine. Sometimes videos are playing and skipping few seconds, sometimes stopping/hanging and using a lot of CPU (I can hear CPU fan ramping up). It mostly happens when I play videos at 1080p and up. Sometimes video can start playing, then skip few seconds, play few more seconds and hang, sometimes after refresh it works fine, another time it works for like a minute and then again hangs/skips. I had this problem on FF 89, I've updated to 11x, still persisted, now I have FF 125.0.3 (64 bit). Things that i've tried: - enabling/disabling hardware acceleration in FF - enabling/disabling gpu hardware acceleration in Windows - changing some settings in about:config (fe. media.wmf.zero-copy-nv12-texture to false and gfx.direct3d11.reuse-decoder-device to false, and few more) - disabling and deleting addons

PC specs: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, Asus Tuf X570, GeForce RTX 3070 (latest drivers), Windows 10 22H2

I have avg vpn. My firefox settings have a notice that "your browser is being managed by you organization. Can you please confirm this is avg vpn and not an unauthorized third party?

For System Administrative reasons, I want to disable automatic Firefox updates. Firefox can ask me if I want to install an update, but I get to choose whether or not to update.

I have Mac, Windows, and Linux boxes. All show connected to Firefox Sync, however, bookmarks etc are only actually in sync between Windows and Linux. I've tried logging out on all devices, resetting passwords, reinstalling FF on the Mac. Can't seem to get it to work.

Firefox is my primary browser. I get this Network protocol error message so often now that I am considering using another web browser. See below It happens with sites I routinely use. I have tried several of the solutions from Firefox and also searched other solutions online to no avail. I like the Firefox web browser. Can you provide me some other solutions

I can open the main

Etrade page but when I then click on anything else all I get is the hour glass which does not go away.  This is ANY other page I try to go to in Etrade.

I go to Edge and have no problems but I have used FF for many years and would like to continue doing so.

In the last couple of days I've been unable to login to my virginmedia accounts using firefox, all other browers work fine, I can enter details no trouble but as soon as I press the blue button on their page nothing happens, cleared cookies and data for virgin but didnt help.

I have firefox updates set to auto. But I want them to load updates when im not using the browser. What currently happens is I open the browser only to get shanghaid by the update process. I dont want that. when I open the browser I want to go straight to what i am doing. I dont want to have to sit there and wait while the browser updates. If it did updates once a month or less it wouldnt be such an issue but the damn browser is updating every few days or even every day and it always wants to do it when I want to do my own work. IS there not a way for the browser to update while im asleep at 3 am? When Im not wanting to use it. Its so irritating. It causes me to not bother with updates. I dont want to comply. When IM given a choice for any updating I set updates to install in the early hours when Im not inconvenienced by it. How can I do this with firefox?

Hello, By default, DoH fails on Max Protection in the latest OS versions listed above. The workaround I've discovered is using https://1.1.1.1/dns-query, but I would rather use the default settings.

Why is the text in tab names, address bar and menu boxes so small? I did the changes to about:config and the other one that comes up when I googled this question but, while they enlarge the text in those places, they make the page content too big.

Today May 1, I noticed that any website that shows a recaptcha checkbox, including the google recaptcha demo (https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api2/demo) only shows an infinite spinner in firefox v125.0.3. I've tried the same sites in chrome and edge and the recaptcha works fine. In FF, I have cleared my cache, disabled tracking protection, disabled anti-virus and tried troubleshooting mode - still get the infinite spinner. Last week, I had no problems with recaptcha.

I deleted the old user names and passwords associated with my bank account. Now I can no longer login to my bank acct using Firefox. Only with another browser.

I tried to uninstall then reinstall Firefox but the problem continues. What to do now to login to my bank account?

I am autofilling an ELSA payment portal. Firefox autofills the payment information correctly. But the program will not recognize the autofilled information and doesn't let me process the payment. I then overwrite all my information and then it allows me to proceed with the payment. I have used the same procedure for years but as of this last week, the autofilled information is not recognized as I click the "Continue" button after the autofilled info is complete, and it won't work. The ELSA source (State of Wisconsin) person said it's a browser problem on my end. No. The online form autofills just fine. Can anyone help? Thanks. Jeff
