the website channel 4 wont load and videos wont play on the normal firefox. it was fine a couple of weeks ago. if i load the website in private window, it works fine wiht no issue.

I run Window 10 and love session restore in Firefox, as I usually like about 15 of my usual tabs open each session. Though Firefox restores these tabs successfully, it often also restores long-closed tabs that were no longer open during my previous session, sometimes resulting in my having over a hundred tabs open which I have to manually close. How do I stop Firefox from 'restoring' tabs that were no longer open when I last powered-down my computer?

This question is regarding the up and down slider bar on the right side of the browser used to scan up and down a web page. I don't mind the automatically hiding vertical slider bar, but when I hover over it and it expands, it remains too narrow. It makes it a annoying to try to left-click on with a mouse.. I often miss the first try now, where that wasn't a problem with the standard legacy width.

How do I make the slider wider- easier to click on- when I hover the mouse over it?

Windows 10 22H2. A few of days ago Firefox stopped playing any audio. Video still works but even audio only streams produce no volume. As far as I've checked its only Firefox. All other browsers and media apps play sounds fine. Tried all the solutions in the help article article . No luck. I have been using Firefox for 8 years now. Unfortunately, it seems I will have to abandon it soon. A lot of websites don't have compatibility with Firefox and now this. Hopefully there's a simple solution and soon. It would be sad to see you go.

I am unable to scroll in the comments section of the NYTimes. The scroll bar does not show up. I can use the arrow key but only to a limited extent. I do not have this problem with Chrome. I get the Firefox updates regularly but it has not corrected the problem.

I used to be able to simply click and drag to reorder bookmarks but this no longer works (Firefox 115.02). Is there a new way to do this or, if a bug, when will it be fixed?

After you "improved" the extensions, I can't find a way to pin my password manager to the toolbar. I use it ALOT so there is a huge inconvenience to have to click the extension button to se it every time. Tell me how I can have it pinned. If this is not possible, I am quitting Firefox!

when I select an email to print the first page is partial, it's not the entire email that needs to be printed. then the other pages are blank

When I load Mastodon from bookmark, FF finds the site OK but does not load a page. What I get is a black screen with no content. This started happening within the past week and I have not loaded any new extensions or themes. Other sites load a bit slowly but OK; the problem is with Mastodon only. Any advice to correct this problem is appreciated.

Although using "delete" or "shift + delete" removes a search suggestion in the address bar at the time of entry, the search suggestion returns the next time you have to enter the field. How can you permanently delete a search suggestion, which is to say, how can you delete or clear the file where the search suggestion data resides?

Could anybody please tell me how I could close multiple tabs at once? Sometimes, I have a few tabs open, and wish to close all of them, without seperately going into each tab, and closing each one manually. Could I do this, please? Marek

I need pinned tabs to show their title, just like normal tabs. They currently only show an icon, but apart from the fact that in my case the icons are identical to one another so I can't know which one is which without hovering them, I'm more of a text person anyway.

So, how to make pinned tabs show their title?

I have frequently seen website privacy notices which tell me that I can ask my browser to tell me when they try to set a cookie. I have never seen any browser that actually does this, and I have never found any way to get Firefox to do it. Quite a few sites don't work correctly if I set strong cookie protection. I don't want to disable this, but I would like to allow a cookie to be set if I think that particular cookie is acceptable to me. In particular one bank that I use has it web site spread across multiple domains and as a result its "remember me" login option doesn't work with third party cookies disabled: I presume that this is because it tries to set a cookie on a domain which is also owned by that bank but is different from the domain of the login page.

Allowing third party cookies per-site would not be enough because many sites use third party scripts which try to set their own cookies to track users across different sites. IMHO this breaches the GDPR, but the regulators aren't willing to do anything about it.

I can see what cookies have been set using the Cookie Quick Manager extension, but that only tells me after the event, and then only if I look. It isn't practical to look after every interaction.

Can we please have an option (preferably per-site or per-container) which allows a user to intercept each attempt to set a cookie and decide whether to allow it.

Hello, i need to enable and disable for privacy reasons, the setting "media.peerconnection.enabled" (aka WebRTC) via GUI to avoid to go everytime into about:config settings, search for the string, and double click it to disable or enable.

If is fleasible i prefer to add a custom icon in the customization tools bar windows, so i can drag it and move into the upper part of firefox freely (for example i would like to have it above url bar in the left corner, above the 3 lines application menù.

My chrome extension is working fine and i want to make it compatible with Firefox as well. In the extension i have used eval method that is throwing error "EvalError: call to eval() blocked by CSP".

I also tried to add below configuration in the manifest 3 file but still getting the CSP issue. ('wasm-unsafe-eval' is also not working.)

Hello.. I turn on my laptop, start firefox and all my bookmarks are gone... I wasnt log in for very long time during using firefox and what I can do now to get back my VERY IMPORTANT bookmarks?

I have set Firefox as my default homepage and browser, however whenever I do a search or try to go to a website, Firefox starts to load it and then the screen flickers for a millisecond and then Bing takes over - Firefox no longer appears and the Bing logo is in the upper left hand corner. How do I stop Bing from taking over?

I was working on my 2023 14" MacBook Pro (M2 Pro, 16GB memory) and a window popped up stating I need to close an application due to me being out of memory. Then my computer froze and I was forced to do a hard reset.

Normally Firefox uses ~450MB however the window stated that Firefox was using 95.57GB of memory as indicated in the attached photo.

I have checked for crash logs and there are no reported crash events listed. And checking Activity monitor shows that Firefox is back to using its normal memory of ~450MB.

Can someone help provide some guidance on what happened and how I can prevent this from happening as I was forced to do a hard reset.
