I recently changed the Privacy & Security settings in Firefox v100.0.2 (Mac) to "Enable HTTPS-Only Mode in all Windows". Since that change, even though Google is my default search engine, all searches take me to a window that says: "You’ve enabled HTTPS-Only Mode for enhanced security, and a HTTPS version of www.searchbaron.com is not available." I did a google search and the recommendation was to delete the searchbaron extension in Extensions but there isn't one there. I like the security of only going to https sites and if possible would like to keep that setting.

Does anyone know what is going on and how I can fix this? Thanks.

I was just updated to version 100 and now the background in the sites I visit, ebay for example, are totally black where they used to be white. I've set my firefox theme to "light" as recommended in another thread, restarted my computer, but to no avail. I now have a light background/black letter tab bar but every site is black where it used to be white. Thanks for a simple answer, I'm not highly technically skilled.

Hello, I was reinstalling my OS, and I didn't create recovery code for my data to retrieve it after (which I found out after reinstalling my OS) on my Mozilla Firefox account, I had a lot of passwords, bookmarks and data that I need to recover, also for my full time job a lot of valuable data which I have lost now. I couldn't find any email address so I can address my concern directly, It's why I am posting here. Please help, I am so lost now. I can also provide you with any information needed, just let me know.

I got mad at a website that wouldn't let me right click menu to save pictures, so I stubbornly saved them via less efficient means, in the process I picked up the Long Screenshot extension and this had an error shortly before or after I had an issue with Lightshot not appearing, other extensions did not appear either when I added them during this time period, but now these all appear with the exception of Lightshot, which gets deleted and reinstalled only to not appear, that of course being the problem, though I will also say that a right click menu not being there is like reaching onto my computer and pulling my finger away, sites that do that should be given the cold shoulder somehow, at least.

I mistakenly blocked a website that I use all the time this morning. I am not getting a big red exclamation point and it says Restricted Access. I need to regain access to this site as I use it daily for business. Help! Thanks.

Why do I keep getting this message from my A/V software (Bitdefender): firefox.exe attempted to establish a connection relying on an expired certificate to si1.lunrac.com?

I don't mean "saving" login information for later use, that I do not want to do. What I mean by the login not being retained is that when I log-in to a website like say Amazon, while I'm browsing, I end up having to re-enter my login information pretty much every other time that I switch between pages. I've never had an issue like that with any other browser. Is there some setting I need to adjust to stop that from happening? As I said, I'm not looking to save my passwords and usernames within the browser, I just want to effectively browse a website after logging into it without needing to login every time I move between pages. On thursday 4/28/22 I lost the ability to use Gmail via firefox. I keep getting errors such as check your network connection and Oops... the system encountered an error (#001)

I have updated my browser on my windows computer, my network speed, upload and download speed is good. All other websites are functioning just fine. Only Gmail seems to be affected on my computer. (It works fine from other computers and from my phone.)

Do you know how I can make it work again? Please help!?!

I go to Norton, sign in, then go to another sigh-in button and the screen just flashes. Click it several times and just see the screen flash. Norton logged in remotely and went through some hoops but they came up with the same thing. Cleared the cache, history, no-go. They tell me that is is a problem with Firefox and not them. (and recommended an expensive organization to get help from) This is a computer I just reset to factory and reinstalled completely. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks!

Search doesn't work. I type in the address bar or open a new tab and type in the search box, which goes to the address bar, after I hit enter the google search shows in the address bar (https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=test) but nothing happens. no spinning, no error message just nothing. I've tried other search engines, same thing. It does work in troubleshoot mode and incognito. I do not have any extensions or add ins and use the default theme. No updates are available, I've cleared history (works very temporarily), & reinstalled.

I would like to stop the default behavior of firefox displaying in the tab that contains my GMail how many unread GMail messages there are -- in other words to delete "(9)" from the attached photo and never have the count displayed -- if it could instead simply say "Inbox - xxx@gmail.com"

I can load up a new session of Firefox and browse OK. Then suddenly if I enter a different website in the address bar and press enter nothing happens, as if I didn't press anything. Same for if I type into the search bar, type what I am searching then press enter and nothing happens. I can refresh the same page, that works, I can click on websites via the favourites bar and it will take me to the correct page.

I have troubleshooted, tried a few obvious things on the help pages, clear cache etc. Troubleshoot mode and refresh and the issue goes away. Then comes back quickly. This is the latest version as of 13 May 2022 with clean install I haven't any other plugins etc.

Since I updated my Mozilla Firefox I'm not able to access my gmail properly. It's always showing an error massage as if I'm not connected although I am. I've cleared everything, made all the steps avialible online and nothing works. I'm having problems loading pages too. When I open a new tab and try to access any site or make a search it won't load as if I did nothing. When are you gonna fix this?

Instructions on changing primary email address not helpful-prompted to access Accounts but profile displayed would not let me edit my primary email address. When attempted to add secondary address was notified that code was sent to my old email address was was compromised & deleted by security of my carrier Want to add new email address & add secondary email account. Hi: I've used Firefox for years without trouble and I've even given money! However, I think the last update has prevented my banking site from operating correctly. In Bill payment you choose who you want to pay and fill in the amount. This still works. I move to the month, day, year boxes. If I click, say, on the month box I get a dropdown but selecting the month nothing happens. Ditto with day and year. The day box shows 1 and the year shows 202 and nothing changes when using the drop downs. Can't manually fill in the boxes. At first I thought it was my bank but they said there were no reported problems - they would! So tried Brave and Edge. Both worked perfectly. Tried it on my laptop rather than desktop and same problem using Firefox showed up. I hadn't fiddled with any Firefox settings. What to do? Thanks Donald

I changed approx 15 passwords in Chrome and I would like to import then into FF. I already have the old logins/passwords in FF. If I import them from Chrome will I end up with double entries or with they be over written with the updated passwords?

I autoscroll, using the middle mouse button a lot. I middle click, release the button, and just move the mouse. To stop the scrolling I click the middle button again.

The problem is that in Twitter (only when using Firefox, not Chrome), and perhaps a very few other websites, if I make that second click (to end scrolling) over a link or linked image, the link opens (in a new tab). This is very frustrating, since I can move the mouse anywhere while scrolling, and I commonly mistakenly open links this way, interrupting my reading.

If I am *not* autoscrolling and middle-click on a link in Twitter, nothing happens. (Perfect!) But if I am autoscrolling the link opens (Bad!).

How can I set up Firefox to that the middle mouse button will never open links, and only function for scrolling?

Hi. How do I give permission to Firefox to open a webpage? There seems to be a firewall issue or something? Please provide the exact steps to allow a URL to be opened with my permission. How do I grant access / grant permission to access a specific site? Thanks. FYI: I'm a bit frustrated and I have a deadline coming up soon.
