I accidentally downloaded a newer version of Firefox on my iMac but it is too old to run it. Now I have no way to download an older version that I use to have. Don’t have any suggestions? Thanks

At the present moment Firefox prevents my screen saver from starting when a video is playing in the browser. I would like to completely disable this ability so that Firefox can never interfere with the screen saver.

How can I do this?

Running FF115.23.1ESR on a Win7/32 box I use in network maintenance/configuration.

If I log into the modem main page and select from the side-bar menu, FF drops me back to the modem's login screen (Groundhog Day style). This behaviour is repeatable (endlessly) on:

• * another identical modem (same/latest firmware). These have repeatedly been factory reset and firmware reloaded. No change.
• * another Win7 box (/64) on same FF release.

Opera - reluctantly added on those same Win7 boxes - does not have this (mis-)behaviour.

Win10/64 running FF138.0.4 does not have this issue.

Up until about ten weeks back, the (then-current) Win7/X esr release did NOT have this problem.

Yes, I HAVE cleared cache/cookies repeatedly before sessions, to no avail. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> [EDIT:] The on-line modem/router emulator can be accessed at https://support.netcommwireless.com/e.../login.html The default un/pswd is admin/admin. Once in the main page, select "Advanced" from the left menu list. This (in the emulator) opens the Advanced page, as it should. In a normal situation here, it simply reverts to the login page.

Q1: Anyone have any experience like this, or any clues/suggestions?

Q2: To continue using these Win7 boxes in that role, am I forced to abandon FF?

How can I transfer all of my data and settings from Mozilla Firefox to the Firefox ESR version. I have Windows 7. I installed the ESR version but all of my bookmarks and settings disappeared. I still have the current version of Mozilla Firefox, which is no longer supported. If I can't easily and quickly incorporate all of my current settings, etc., to the temporary ESR version, and I uninstall the ESR version without that operation automatically uninstalling the current version?

I have old 15 year old mac el capitan -10.11.r with outdated firefox 78.15.0esr 64-bit.... in perfect condition. Unfortunately I can not make updates on browser anymore. Online banking websites does not allow me to use this outdated browser. Would you be so kind to make even paid update for me? Or at least let me know what settings I should change under about:config

After the last update Firefox ESR 115.23.0 the menu on the website: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/home is not displayed correctly. Can you fix this?

I purchased a new MacBook Pro and moved the copy of Firefox V.91.6.1 via a thumb drive from my old iMac to my new MacBook Pro. The application opened, but none of my Profile information was present on the screen.

Later, I installed the ESR version of Firefox on my new MacBook Pro also, it opened as well, but did not display my Profile information either.

How can I obtain all of my established Profile information on my new Laptop computer, and run the current version of Firefox there as well?

Firefox kicks me out! My Mac works like a charme without any hardware problems. But now my favorite browser (FF) quits support. I'm amazed that a project like Mozilla does not care about sustainability. Any update in the software world must take care concerning downward compatibility - otherwise you exclude former users/customers. So why is ESR for Macos 10.9 to 10.11 not supported anymore? There are millions of Core2Duo-machines, that Mozilla sends to the trash. I'm extremely disappointed!

I run Win 7 pro 64bit with ESR update no problem but..... my Win 7 32 bit laptop worked flawlessly until today when it 'gave up' I updated to the ESR version, and has become very slow and when going to Sky news it 'seem' to get stuck on 'Read e3.365dm.com', then 'Read assetts.adobedtm.com', is this an Adobe problem?

I just don't see this on the 64bit machine, OK the 32 bit is a wee slower than the 64bit BUT it did work After a while it changes to 'Read cdn.privicy-mgmt.com' (some something like that) I've never seen on the 64 bit.

I got to admit I did let it update, meaning to say I never cleared all the old installation out.... I do have to force a shutdown, it seems all other trash is running ... maybe clogging the RAM.

Can anyone throw any light on this.... yeah, I know it's an old machine BUT it did work prior to the update.

Like many others I've seen here in this forum and some others, I still run Windows 7. I will _NEVER_ buy another Microsoft OS ever, again! And that goes even if I wasn't a senior on a fixed income.

That said, like many others, I would very much appreciate the ESR version of Firefox being extended for the foreseeable future beyond the 6-month extension that you just posted about. I use many of the extensions quite copiously and can't even think of not using them as some are so extremely protective and some are especially utilitarian, at that. A lot of them are not supported on other browsers even IF those browsers have extensions at all. I've used Firefox since Version 2.

Now, in case this is pertinent:

I lock the desktop computer [that I built, myself] down seriously tight with several good quality but free 3rd party soft-wares which overlap protection just enough to keep my computer safe but not so much as to conflict. I've formulated my "cocktail" over the past 30 years since I started with Windows 95 through XP and now 7.

I do NOT do bu$ine$$ of any kind on line. I do not peruse the back alleys of the internet and I'm not interested in the Black Web. I don't even use on board e-mail opting for on-line email that, again, I do not do bu$ine$$ through and don't open anything that comes in that I don't know the party which sent it. (I do find some of the scam spam rather amusing, though. LOL!) In other words, I follow all best practices other than falling into the update trap that MS has created for end users due to their incessant greed.

When or, maybe, just before I can no longer get on the internet at all with Windows 7, I WILL do my best to complete my switchover to Linux for the few on line activities that I enjoy. In the long run, I plan on utilizing a multi-boot configuration as I have software for Windows XP that I find either very useful or very amusing that won't run on 7 or Linux. I also have some software that I like for Windows 7 that won't run on Linux. I'm just not ready to do that now and won't be for quite a while in the future as I continue to learn about and how to administrate my future chosen distro of Linux as I can Windows.

All of this is why I'm asking for your patience and continued support for Firefox ESR on older OSes.

There are several windows I get from Publishers Clearing House that get interrupted by Firefox. Something is preventing some kind of advertising/site recommendations. Works OK with Safari. Some option that is causing this, not sure what. I have NO ADBLOCKERS installed. See attached page, Adblocked.png.

Hi All We are utilising the Firefox ESR 115.21 (current release) on some devices to keep them as risk free as possible while we work on upgrading them. I was wondering if the CVE that our monitoring software is reporting as currently open vulnerabilities against version 115.21 are correct and if so, is there any plan to mitigate these in the upcoming ESR between now and Aug 2025? I would just like to understand so I can document on our end appropriately. Thanks in advance.

Hello fellow foxes,

I really need to use Firefox version 52ESR.MSI as I need to push it through Active Directory.

I have tried downloading the version from https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/52.0.1esr/ ,however there is no MSI version that I can see.

I also tried downloading from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/desktop-esr/win64-msi/en-US/ but the last version is 115.

I also tried third party sites like oldversion.com but I couldn't find it.

Is there anyway I can get this version of firefox? It's really important to me.
