Hello

I have been using firefox sync for a long time to migrate between PC to PC

My firefox sync profile is full of old stuff and I would like to clean up my settings by wiping out my firefox sync settings and starting fresh.

However, before doing that I wish to export all my data/settings/password/cookies/bookmarks and everything, so files on my computer.

Files that I can read in notepad and inspect. See which settings I have in there and decide which settings I want to put back in my new installation.

Unfortunately and worryingly, they have been removed from the firefox addon store

as for OPIE, I am unable to find explanation of what it was, where it went or who used it

I know that my profile is stored in

C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\4vdt083m.default-release

However the files and structure in that folder are inscrutable

I would like to have control over the settings of my browser, what they are, to save them and modify them on my own terms.

I would like to export about:config completely to a regular plain text file, edit them and import them back in.

Had to reformat and reinstall my Intel Mac with System 10.4.11. Can't download install dmg from the ftp site because my id and password don't get me into the FTP website.

I've copied the root profile folder from my old machine, created a new profile running Nightly, put the contents of old profile into just created one, and it just worked. Doing the exact same steps with Dev version doesn't work - app refuses to launch after picking imported profile as default one. Could it be because Dev has a lower app version?

Hi, I lately found one of my old firefox os phones (Alcatel One Touch Fire C). I tried connecting it to the internet and updating it bus it said that there is no internet connection. Is there a way to update the phone?

My current install of Firefox seems to be corrupted, because every time i try starting firefox, even in safe mode, it says "Could not load XPCOM". So my only option now is to reinstall, but i have some password and my search history and bookmarks and generall data to backup. So my question is how can i do this. Im on a Windows 10 22H2 Machine, and i am a pretty expirienced computer user.

Is this real or a scam? Thanks.

How do I import the firefox passwords I saved as csv file from firefox into firefox. I am not importing from a different browser which is the only option offered. I'm importing from the newly created csv file as instructed by firefox.

I do not want to use Chrome as my default browser because it slows my computer down. However, I have numerous documents that I need to access quickly, hopefully in the same manner here with your awesome browser just as I accessed them on Chrome. Is there an extension I can load that will give access to all the Google office products like docs sheet and the like? I would like to uninstall Chrome.

I have been using Firefox for quite some time. Suddenly it stopped working on my computer, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but I keep getting a message that there is a problem with the download and installation. Can anyone help? Let me know if you need any further information. Thank you in advance.

Hello, I need help. I downloaded and installed Firefox (latest version), the icon appears in the taskbar, but when I click on it, FireFox does not launch and I always get the same error message. I uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted the PC, but I still have the same problem, even starting from firefox.exe in Windows (C:) >Programs>Mozilla Firefox. Could it be possible that Microsoft is blocking the launch of Mozilla Firefox? Thank you in advance for your help. Attached is a screenshot of the error message. Fortunately, my Mozilla Thunderbird (15.4.2 (64 bits) works fine...

Thank you for trying to help me download Firefox onto my computer. As per your advice, I first tried shutting down and restarting my computer. That did not work. Then I went onto the link you sent me: https://www. mozilla,org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release . The installation began, but only got up to around 80 - 90%. It stopped at the point where it said Execute: "C:|Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\default-browser-agent.exe" register-task 308046B... (It looks like there might be some more letters and/or numbers after the "B", but I can't see what they are.) I waited a few more hours to see if the installation would continue, but it did not. I then went back to try downloading Firefox in the regular way. First I got a message, "Now installing. Firefox will be ready in just a few moments." Again, installation proceeded to around 80 - 90 %, and then I got a message, "Hmmm. For some reason, we could not install Firefox. Choose OK to start over." Starting over didn't help. Firefox Settings/Help/About failed to show most recent version of Firefox. I downloaded and re-installed to get Version 122 but now I have two entries in Windows 10 App. One is dated 2022 (probably the original 32 bit version) and the other is dated today. Can I safely delete the older entry?

After the automatic installation of the latest update to FireFox, I find I cannot load yahoo.com. I have tried all the suggestions for Hotmail. None of them work: no page loads. The page loads fine in Chrome.
