Lost all extremely improtant data after forced Update - Please help

I was refraining myself to do any update of Firefox on Windows 10 PC for several months but yesterday I was so annoyed by pop up messages requesting me to update that I gave up and proceed with update... Then disaster happened: everything is lost. All my customized settings, all bookmarks that my life depend on, everything is lost. Please can someone help me survive...

I checked for FirefoxOLD folder if there is one (e.g. on Desktop) anywhere on hard drive of my PC but there isn't. All self done solutions I tried but failed produced around 15+ additional profiles because I had to delete ( * ) Profiles INI single file otherwise Firefox couldn't be opened due to error message. When I deleted INI, I was able to open firefox with LOST extremely important data. Every opening produced I believe 3 new profiles.


( * ) I still have them in Recycle bin.

I went to about:profiles and there are only two: the one being used (lost data) and one more. When I open "one more" profile in different browsers all my data is remaining to be gone.

Currently in total are 18 profiles in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles folder. At least 15 of them are from failed solution attempts. The thing that worries me the most is the single profile, out of other 3, that should had my data available. I used it as the only folder in "Profiles" folder. Then I used to run Firefox and data is missing even there. This particular profile that brought me the most of hopes is NOT available via about:configs and the thing that worried me the most inside the folder of particular profile that I guess should have the data is the fact that the folder is almost entirely empty. Only two files inside: search-metadata.json and times.json

Can someone please help me get my data back?

Please I had really important data but cannot recover it on my own :'-( oh my god...

Nach dem Start von Firefox öffnet sich das Fenster aber: ohne Inhalt, ohne Adresszeile, ohne Menüleiste - es ist nichts vorhanden. Nur ein weißes Rechteck. So dass nicht einmal der Reparatur-Modus von Firefox gestartet werden kann. Man kann zwar irgendwo intuitiv herumklicken, aber man kann mit dem neuen popup nichts anfangen, s. Beispiele, da beim Klick auf einen Parameter nichts kommt.

Virenprüfung (Kaspersky in der akt. Version): keine Verbesserung Firefox-Start abgesichert: dto.

Deinstallation und Neuinstallation der aktuellen Version 78.02. : gleiches Ergebnis

In Edge ist das Problem nicht vorhanden.

I bought a new computer. I read about how to transfer over your profile. On my old computer I located the folder, and went up one level as it said. I had 2 files there, not 1 .I saved these files. I installed firefox on my new computer and followed the same steps to locate the folder. It also had 2 files, with different names. I STUPIDLY deleted these two files and put in the two I had copied from my old compter. Turned offirefox and turned it back on. It would notopen because it said it couldnot locate my profile folder. I uninstalled Firefox, and reinstalled it. I still get the same error.

Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible. I thought uninstalling and reinstalling it would solve the first part of the program but as of now, I have no Firefox.

Any suggestions from anyone.

Hello, this is getting annoying, i already reinstalled Firefox and again i get this message in top right corner: "Firefox can't update". I have checked in setting: automatically install updates. However i disabled background service. I don't want to use it. And automatic updates are still enabled, so there shouldn't be reason for it - to not work. Thanks for answer.

Firefox always crashes when I try to install it. I have tried many versions including 75,78,80. I have tried starting it in safe mode. Starting in safe mode also crashes. Running Windows 10.

I have tried: uninstalling and reinstalling rebooting the computer scanning for viruses (Did not find any) Installed newest video driver starting in safe mode (never works)

Chrome and Edge run fine.

Hello, When they said (in swedish) You have one step more before you installation is finished and that is to connect another device so I tried to connect my mobile and I think I succeeded. But, on the computer it seems that I can't find the application. It isn't there so I have tried to download it again but that must be wrong because than I must do everything all over again and I guess it than isn't compatible with my mobile.
