I have used Firefox for years and had AVG free antivirus installed also for years. Tonight I had a popup window open from AVG informing me that AVG no longer support Firefox and have uninstalled their antivirus addon with immediate effect.

Does anyone know of a Free antivirus program that is any good and still supports Firefox?

in the firefox browser is there any way to see the casting the browser screen to chromecast on tv. similar to 'cast to media device' in edge browser or chrome browser.

For the past couple of months I have been getting the message www.bbc.com. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR

Error code: PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR when loading pages on www.bbc.com website. I have done a search on the internet and it seems this is a common problem with Firefox and does not affect othere browesers. I have done what was advice given online but it does not solve the problem. It is getting so bad I may have to start using one of the other browsers even though I prefare Firefox.

Why can't Firefox copy text to the clipboard anymore? It won't copy text from a web page, from a URL, or even from about:support "Copy text to clipboard"!!! I'm using version 1.22 64 bit on windows 11. I've reinstalled Firefox but it doesn't make a difference. I've tried "Troubleshoot Mode" and it's still broken!!!

I can paste into Firefox but something has broken copy!

Whenever I go to a Google page (tested on Google.com Docs, Sheets, Forms) the page crashes. The issue started sometime around this afternoon.

I have set Firefox as my default browser. I can open it using a shortcut on my desktop. However, if I follow a link from an email, it does not open in Firefox. How come?

Today I installed a new extension (Bitwarden) and want to add the icon to the toolbar. I can't find it anywhere. The add-on shows up in the add-on manager but there's nothing there to help me add the icon. The little puzzle piece in the upper right of the browser -- click on that and Bitwarden isn't listed.

How do I fix this? In Chrome there's a simple toggle switch in the extension manager to add the icon to the toolbar. Frankly, if I can't get this Bitwarden icon to display I can't use Firefox at all. Thanks.

I seem unable to do this, but I should easily be able to, but despite numerous attempts, I can't figure out how. I've finally given up, hence this plea for help.

Hi Just updated Linux Mint from 20.3 to vs 21. Firefox Help now shows FF version Mint - 001-1.0 121.0.1

Also shows that FF updates disabled by Administrator.

Is this the latest version for LM 21 ? And how do I enable updates automatically?

I've noticed lately that my Firefox keeps freezing and hanging up at random periods for no apparent reason. I have very few plugins and it even happens with them all disabled and removed. I've tried resetting Firefox to default everything yet it makes no difference.

Also I can not clear history. I've tried multiple different clear history plugins but none of them work at all. And when I try the traditional way of clearing Firefox history the window pops up and then the entire browser just freezes while 'clearing' and never gives me back control, I have to force quit and restart to regain control. And then when I relaunch the history is still not cleared!

So aside from the constant lagging and lockups it seems that any attempt to delete history whether using the inbuilt function or adding plugins messes up the whole browser.

Googling this issue it seems others are having the exact same problem with Firefox and yet any suggested solutions (reset browser) don't seem to be working for may of them.. Or me.

Hi, As far as I know, Firefox hasn't recently updated but somehow my address bar is now below the tabs. I have searched everywhere and can't find a solution. Searching shows that this has been happening repeatedly for years with people having to go as far as adding code to configure it. It has never happened to me until the change appeared randomly today. Am I missing something, or has the option completely (and pointlessly) disappeared? Please point me in the right direction to restore the position of the address bar. Thanks.

My Wife's computer - still on Windows 10 - says it can't start Firefox as it is still running, hitting the "close Firefox now" button just returns us to the same screen. I tried to uninstall and reinstall Firefox it tried to do a "reinstall" it says her profile is no longer available, while inconvenient she still should be able to start it up, but it still gives me the same message. that it is still running and needs closed. Trying to "close it doesn't do anything. I have restarted several times and even did a shut down and restart. Nothing seems to work. I assume some "stub" of Firefox is out there in the system/cache making Firefox think it is is still active but I can't find it to shut it down. Where do I need to go to "end task" on this phantom Firefox?

Other information: 1. We have Norton Security software installed, if that matters. 2. The same seems to happening to Thunderbird, but maybe I need to go to another help forum for that? 3. I am entering this issue from my computer that seems to be just fine with Firefox, so can't send browser data as it is irrelevant to the issue (it's on a different computer and install instance.
