I am lost so request some expert help!!

I have had a few problems on my win 10 pro 64bit pc where my better half had hsd quite a few win profile logon errors. These hsve bern fixed via regedit until recently where nothing in the hive profile fixes it. (Hardware is fine and no malware just in case you wonder!) As a shortcut I have created a new logon to get the user up and running. Of course Firefox now does not have the old logon's profile available to the 'new' Windows user account.

So I have followed the instructions at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1065938 to copy over the firefox profile files to the created user's profile folder.

But this has not worked. No history, passwords, settings etc available to the new windows account, though it looks like the files have been copied however confusingly repeating exercise does not warn about file overwriting!

How can the profile be updated to get all the passwords and settings into the new account?

Notes: Windows and FF up to date. My personal account is still fine it's just the other user account that is the problem. Cannot logon to the other 'old' account to use FF built in profile management but it should be ok in the newly created acount.

There are many third-party add-ons to customize keyboard shortcuts, but nothing official...

Would it be possible to have the 'built-in' option to edit them?

When clicking on "show all bookmarks" it takes you to the bookmark library where you can see all our bookmarks.

1. The layout is shoddy, makes finding bookmarks very difficult. 2. The scrolling speed is way too fast, I try to scroll up or down and it goes all the way to the top or bottom.

Please fix.

I am looking for a way to highlight PDF within the browser How can I do that in Firefox for Windows. If it's not please provide pdf highlight like other browser have built-in not extention

I recently uninstalled Flash Player from my operating system using the FP uninstall tool-it is gone from the OS system, however, the plugin still remains in the extension screen. I enabled "never activate". How do I completely remove the FP extension? Thanks

We all have done it, said ok to taking a survey, right? Well this is bull. No site survey should be able to in bed itself in a startup session, ever. So, how do we go in and remove just that one site who has taken control of my startup. Closing it should be the end of it but no. These are not adware, reset is not the answer, too much work to do a reset. We should have a list of sites that are in the session restore so we can remove some misbehaving ones.

I use the firefox browser with my macos big sur. I disabled the spell check, but I keep on seeing red underlines when I type in the search bar. I thought when spell check is disabled, this should not be possible. (excuse my English). How can I get rid of the red underlines?

This question has been around for years... Isn't anyone else annoyed by having to clean up UNPINNED Top Sites one at a time? I posted over four months ago about trying to find out where Top Sites stores those unpinned sites... no one seems to know, except to say they are placed there by Firefox internally. I presume that means it is hidden in the code somewhere. Someone on the development team must know where? Maybe if there was a poll of users about this annoyance?? When I select a text on a webpage and right click, there are some options including add-on related ones (e.g. translate this text). However, when I select a text in the address bar my add-on options doesn't appear. Is it possible to use my add-ons on address bar selections? Or is it that my add-ons lack this feature?

I can't seem to turn off the feature of, when I press delete on accident i go to the past page and this has caused me to leave meetings and other important things, i would like to find out how to turn off this feature.

We want to customize the look & feel from firefox. We are using the userChrome.css file.

In the past we used the following entry to hide the menu bar in Firefox:

1. toolbar-menubar

{display: none !important;}

Now on Firefox 78.6 (ESR Release) this works different. The menu bar is hidden but the close Icon (and the minimize/fullscreen Icons) are hidden too.

Is there a way to hide/disable the menu bar but keep these icons/buttons?

My win-application (1)compose an local-html-template, (2)call to open it with a Firefox as a "text editor" for some changes and getting final local-html-documents and (3)needs to save changed local-html-document automatically under application control.

Like model works good with any text-editor like notepad, OpenOffice etc. The application retains control of the text-editor until the text-editor closes (with or without saving document).

However, in the case of the Firefox, the application loses control of the Firefox as soon as the page is opened. And the application does not have information about the shutdown of the Firefox.

The question is: Is there an Firefox-option that allows you to keep control of the application over the Firefox during open Firefox or tab-session?

I'm looking for an extension that I presume exists, but I'm not able to find it: I want to rate websites in the way photo apps allow you to rate your photos, i.e. assign a number of stars to them.

Do you know such an extension or have good ideas how to search it?

Subject line says it all. I am discovering that FF 84.02 just leaves a blank spot where the Flash SWF used to be, making pages super confusing to view if they used to have a SWF on them because you frequently don't even know what the page was supposed to do.

Is there any way to get some sort of placeholder graphic like IE has? Or if not, are there plans to implement one?

I have a web-based app which I use firefox to open. I use multiple tabs like for opening and printing pdf & having multiple modules from the web-based app. The issue is some users are clicking on the firefox icon even though firefox is open & it opens another session or window of Firefox. What I would like if someone clicks on the Firefox icon and it is already open to just display that session of firefox that is open & not open a new window/session. My issue is we have 5 and 6 different windows for the same web app & it's causing some issues. All links should open in a new Tab which they do now but if I can find a way to stop firefox opening twice it will solve my issue.

erride Color of Visited Websites since version 69.0.3

Since after version Firefox 69.0.3 32bit, the visited website color can not be altered no matter what variation I try within General - Language and Appears - Color. Background and Text work fine though. I can change the color on the color screen but it has no effect when I have visited websites after a Google search. I pick the color via the rainbox color screen in the Color section.

Being able to change the color for visited website to Red would make my life easier while doing searches to avoid repeatedly going to the same websites previously looked at. Just for your info, I change the colors of the Background to Black, Text to White, and non-visited website to white. I have low vision and it makes it easier on my eyes.

I have this problem on my old Windows 7 with every version upward. I just got a brand new Dell with Windows 10 and it has the exact same problem with both the 32-bit and 64-bit version of 84.0.2. Hence, this is why I have not bothered submitting this issue until I got my Windows 10 unit.

On the Tools - Options - General - Language and Appearance - Color, I have tried both Always Override and Use only with Hight Contrast Theme. Checking and un-checking Use System color and Underline weblinks had no effect. None of these variations had no effect.
