I always want the address bar suggestions to start with my bookmarks. Is there a way to control the results? I remember there was something in about:config previously.

I have managed to figure out ways to remove items from context menus from various pages here and around the web however it always seems to leave an additional unwanted separator line that I cannot find how to get rid of.

There are a number of additional lines I am looking to remove but the current one that is annoying me (based on most usage) is the additional line between 'Copy Link Without Site Tracking' and Search which is an add-on - Simple Context Search - https://tinyurl.com/yck5c (as shown in the attachment).

I did have 'search google for...' directly above the 'Search for Google' option which I removed.

I also removed 'Copy Link' which was above the 'Copy Link Without Site Tracking' option which I also removed.

Hope the above makes sense and any help greatfully appreciated.

Ever since the latest update, the picture-in-picture function stopped working properly. If I activate it, the video will automatically go to full screen, and I need to press the full screen button multiple times to move it down to a small box. I am using Firefox on a Mac laptop.

I find it very difficult using Awsome screenshot, in fact I never use it, but used to use it, when it was on my tool bar, can I get it back there.

I cannot drag it from "customise tool bar" as it does not show there, it shows in my list of add ons, I have tried removing it, then reinstalling it.

Others asked and were pointed to extensions. As long as extensions get access to my pages, I'm not willing to use any. So, is there an option in advanced settings, to return to previously viewed tab when I close a tab? Thanks, Cat

Sorry, posted recently and had then trouble finding out how to respond to help offered (jscher2000)! Noticed that the email version was "no-reply" so I didn't figure that would work! So, I tried to 'cut and paste' my reply (on a smartphone) and I ended up losing even the email reply text so here is a reconstruction. I tried the suggestions in order and the first one didn't have a "Restore previous session" option and the second one had "Recently closed windows" greyed out! And, when I entered "about.support" in the address bar (top rightish), I received a notice that I couldn't reach Google (Remember that I don't currently have internet access on my laptop). So, no joy there either! Can I not just change some current setting to prevent Firefox v 115.9lesr from saving the current 'Windows' and Tabs so that, when I again open Firefox, the previous session 'Windows' and Tabs would be used?!?

It is annoying that search executes immediately instead of triggering on enter keypress, especially when a web page is big. Is there any way to disable auto-search and trigger it only when you press enter?

I have to put my face within inches of the screen and strain to see the text in Firefox browser menus, tabs, and search bars. How do I adjust the font size?

I currently have a 'bad/rouge' session of Windows 7 Firefox (don't really know how that happened) open (7 'Windows', each with one empty Tab plus 1 'Window', with only 1 populated tab (Yahoo Mail)! I need to close Firefox in order to restart my laptop (strange things have been happening, including not being able to access the internet)!! On restarting, I want to be able to open Firefox with the previous session I had with my 8 'Windows', each with dozens and dozens of Tabs! Please help, I sorely need those many 'Windows' and Tabs!!!

Hi there! Every time i go onto a site like YouTube, Chess.com, ChatGPT etc, it asks for my login each time and i know there is a setting for it to remember me so i do not have to log into my account every time i use the site but I have looked everywhere and still fail to see it. Where about can i turn this setting on so i do not have to sign into my profile to use the relevant site. Thank you.

Please see the attached screenshot. I get this popup EVERY TIME I open FireFox. I've tried a number of different suggested "fixes" from Google Searches with no success.

I want this popup GONE.

The 'add "outlook.live.com" as an application for mailto links' keeps popping up continuously after I click to X to delete the banner message. How do I disable it? Firefox should have a "don't remind me again" option. I do not want to add mailto links or make any changes. Thank You!

For the past few months every restart of Firefox disables LastPass. I did NOT have this problem previously. The version of LastPass is current (no updates found). I can go to Add-ons and the toggle is set to "on" but the icon in the menu bar is black. If I click the toggle off, then back on, LastPass comes on just fine. Why is Firefox disabling something that Add-ons says is loaded? VERY strange. Does NOT happen in Chrome. Thanks for any assistance. PITB!!!

Basically, I copied this from an old post that I didn't understand the solution when I move my mouse to the top of the screen in fullscreen, the adressbar and tabs come up, I hate that how do I fix it

I've disabled this for my google account. So when I search from google.com this behavior doesn't happen. But when I type anything into my address bar on Firefox to search, the first suggestions are from my search history.

I don't want to delete my search history.

I often use my search history to find specific things that I need, but didn't bookmark at the time. I need my search history to be saved. I just don't want to automatically receive suggestions based on it.

Is there any way to turn this off? Even with an extension or something?

My search box disappeared. I know about clicking the 3 horizontal lines, selecting customize and dragging the box. Actually the box is still there on the customize screen, but not in any other tabs.

Dragging a second box does nothing. Refreshing Firefox does nothing. Rebooting does nothing. Firefox 125.0.2

I just installed Firefox v125.0.1 on my new desktop and I am constantly being harassed by Firefox suggesting "tips" to me that I don't want nor did I ask for.

Such as this example below, see screenshot. I am browsing the web and needed to open a new tab, and immediately Firefox thinks it is okay to harass me with something that I OBVIOUSLY already know...... searching google from the address bar.

So now I have to stop what I am doing to click the "Okay, Got It" button to proceed. But, that won't stop Firefox from harassing me with the EXACT same tip in a few minutes from now.....

This isn't the only "tip" it harasses me with. It's just the only one I have managed to get a screenshot of for now.

How do I permanently disable this crap?

I have been using the internet and web browsers for 30ish years now. I'm pretty sure I know how to use an address bar by now Firefox.....

I also don't appreciate being harassed by things at all. Since this does the same "tips" repeatedly and they never stop it is absolutely harassment. Why are you showing me ANY tip more than once?????
