Hello!

So this last week Firefox has been causing me to have some SERIOUS problems! From time to time I cant view any kind of videos or anything, it just makes my Firefox crash and not loading or anything.

I cant even listen to my own music on my computer :(

I never had this problem before and getting this now is so annoying!

I got Firefox updated, same with Adobe flash player and all that! And as I said, I NEVER had this problem before and I've been using Firefox for alot of years now.

After I open a few different pages or tabs within the pages, the plugin-container.exe max's my cpu usage and the system hangs horribly. It comes back and then hangs again. The plugin-container is reasonable new, because I don't recall seeing it in the Task Manager. Is there a way to fix this?? I know it's related to some apple piece of garbage software that I could totally do without if that helps.

I think some that suggest superfish or surf canyon do not install anything unless you agree is complete nonsense. I think the work for these scam sites and trying to pull your leg. I searched all of my computer and did not find either one of them anywhere. I never allowed any software to install unless I have researched what or who they are and what good they do for me. But nevertheless I got this vicious software interfering with my search on every shopping site I was on. God knows what information they got. Imagine they are on the sites where you buy stuff and enter you passwords, credit card numbers, your address and phone numbers etc. Scary uh!!!. If this company is legitimate why dont they show up in you programs as superfish since their address is superfish.com? Why is there no easy way to uninstall this like real programs? Sorry but I think these scams need to be stopped and rooted out. Superfish: If you are legitimate show up on our computer as one! Dont sneakup and install your scamware in our computers. Please post removal instructions!

I have a lot of plugins and extensions and sometimes I don't know which stuff I need/use all the time and which ones I don't use and could be slowing down FF. Could you please go through my plugins and stuff and see which ones you think are unnecessary and why/what it would be used for/what it does - if you know - and how to not only disable them but uninstall too, if necessary. I'll post my most recent crash just in case. It was several days ago - the 18th. It crashes only once in a while. I've kinda been considering Chrome recently; I hope this fixes it. I tried clearing my cookies too, just in case - which I think is shown in the Troubleshooting Info, I think.

Computer is on line as I can ping external addresses, and other browers work. I have done all suggested steps and it doesn't resolve issue. I have uninstalled/reinstalled, rebooted, checked proxy, security settings, and still no luck.

Starting happening in the middle of the day after no issues. Computer is on line with no other issues.

Hello There. To my utter dismay I am forced to use Chrome to access this forum. The reason is the moment I use Firefox (3) my computer crashes and I get the dreaded windows blue screen. I have been using ff for a long time now without problems. Yesterday I updated adobe flash player, but have now uninstalled flash player in the hope that the problem is resolved. No luck. I can use my computer in normal manner without problems, but the moment I use ff it crashes

Every now and then, when I'm on Firefox it will not respond then the window will fill white and at the top it will say "Mozilla Firefox (Not Responding)".

It responds after about 10-15 seconds but this keeps happening every 2-3 Minutes and is making Firefox unusable to watch videos on Youtube and read other things as when it starts responding it take me back to the top of the page.

I cannot pinpoint which websites this is on but it normally (But not always) happens when I have more than one tab open (Usually on Youtube + SammyServers.com)

Firefox continually crashes (approx. 6-8 times a day or more) due to Adobe Flash player crashing.

I'm running Firefox 13.0.1 and Adobe Flash 11.3.300.262

I noticed that since the second-to-last update of Flash Firefox has been crashing a lot. Before that Firefox crashed 'only' once a day or so.

Over the past few months I've read just about every thread related to Flash & Firefox and I'm not about to spend hours troubleshooting stuff, trying to disable hardware acceleration, etc, etc. I've done that before when the Flash-crash issue started a couple of months ago. (Also, Firefox is sometimes sending you automated crash reports, so you should have that data.) I would expect Firefox to simply "work" reasonably well, and as of the past couple of months or so, it hasn't.

W.T.F, Mozilla? I've used your browsers (Netscape) since the early 90s and have been quite happy - until recently, that is. As of now I'm having to go back to using Internet Explorer.

I sincerely hope Mozilla can finally resolve this issue as I still believe Firefox could be a great browser if it didn't "fight" with Flash all the time.

I use firefox 14.0.1 and detect black screen clash.

I cannot solve this problem.

do not know what's going on but the Firefox crashing, and is still crashing, and crashing back again .. This problem is not resolved for a long time 'and I wonder why not fix this problem so far?

I've recently been lucky to get my hands on Windows 8 from my college (full Windows 8 Professional, not the 90 day trail.) and installed Firefox. Boy was it a mess, I know Windows 8 has yet to be released officially to the public but Firefox will crash and hang and just be all around terrible to use. I've tried Google Chrome and have had none of these problems with it, same as IE (I know IE sucks but just adding it to my trail list). I know flash is integrated into both of those browsers but could that be the problem that Firefox is having when it comes to Windows 8? Anyways my main reason for posting this is to let those who work with Firefox that there is a compatibility problem with it right now.

I tried everything. Deleting cookies. Un installing and re installing adobe flash. I tried the suggestions listed on the firefox site Adobe flash works fine when I open google chrome. Why does firefox suck? Its ridiculous... Its so bad...

In what seems like a relentless update/upgrade competition with the "other" browsers, Firefox 11 is NOW not playing nice with Shockwave Flash, or is it vice-versa. This didn't start happening until I "upgraded" to Firefox 11.0

YES, I've updated ALL the plugins (Who invented this plug-in hassle, anyway?), as is ABSOLUTELY required whenever Firefox goes through one of its myriad of updates/upgrades. I've uninstalled/reinstalled Flash, and my WinXP Pro is up-to-date. I haven't experienced this torrential headache with IE 8.0, OR before F-11.

Is there a Firefox 11.0.0.1.2.3.4 patch in-the-works, or do I have to consider one of the "others"? HELP ME!

Yeah, I've recently updated from Firefox version like 2.something to 10.0.2. My god, why don't I learn? Why don't I just follow what I know is true rather than listening to everystupidbody else, who are always wrong? You see, Mozilla. THIS is why I keep sometimes a DECADE-old version of software and update ONLY with the greatest of caution, and often not even then. The newer versions ALWAYS and I mean EVERY DAMN TIME work WORSE. All the bells and whistles and ‘new and improved’ (read: retarded) ‘innovations’ (read: flaws) bring the whole thing crashing down. Why the hell do developers constantly think they have to fidget with something until they break it? Better question: Why do software developers ALWAYS refuse to take responsibility for a terrible design flaw and just undo it already - instead blaming everyone else? God, I am SO TIRED of the questions: “What firewalls are you running” (Answer: NONE) and “Did you update it?” (Answer: you can’t be frickin serious at this point - you’re just screwing with me, aren’t you?). While I’m getting such brilliant troubleshooting suggestions, why don’t I just turn it off and on again? Can you come and set the time on my computer for me too? I don’t understand these confounded smoke-containing magic boxes yet. Firefox used to be like the perfect browser. I loved it when I first discovered it. I couldn't believe how neat it was. The features were so practical and useful! They MADE SENSE. I actually had trouble believing what I was experiencing, since software is so regularly programmed by, what appear to be, escaped mental patients who hate Humanity. Now it hogs resources like they're going out of style and that godawful plugin container, I believe, is attempting to set a new high score daily on how many times it can crash. Oh and I love the 'solution' on your help. "Simply reload the page to restart the plugin and show the video (or game, animation, etc.) again." HAHAHAHA. You mean AFTER the three minutes it's frozen my computer up? You mean during which, I can't even bring up the FRICKIN TASK MANAGER to FORCE the process to end??!?! I mean, I’ll admit, I am using XP here, but I’m sure not everyone having this problem is. So basically, my question is: Mozilla, you gonna fix this problem, or do I basically have to shitcan Firefox (and by extension all of your products and your reputation with me and everyone I know) and download a different browser? I mean, I like Chrome less, but I don’t hear about as many problems with it. Oh, I also love how Firefox version 3.something would CUT OFF MY INTERNET FOR SEVERAL MINUTES!! Even with other browsers. I try to install Firefox v16 on a windows 7 Home Edition pc. But the installation stoppes after very short time. I have downloaded the installation to my pc. When I start the installation following happens : It extract the files. Ask for installation 'mode' Ask if I want FF as standard browser. Starts installation and then it stopps saying 'Windows stopped working' (Do not now the right english words :-) the Windows version is Danish) In the folder 'Programs (x86)' I got a folder with the name 'Mozilla Firefox' and in this folder I have an file called 'install.txt' And it says it only has installed 2 files :

AccessibleMarshal.dll application.ini

Hi. Firefox was working fine on my Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, but just about 2 days ago it started freezing very frequently. As I write this, sometimes the browsers "stops", without saying anything, and then it puts what I've written. It freezes for about 6 or 7 seconds, which is very annoying.

It happens when I'm doing anything: scrolling, switching tabs, right clicking, etc.

I'm using the packaged version of Firefox (I didn't download it manually).

Firefox crashes CONSTANTLY. It is non-discriminatory as to when, where, what or why I'm doing anything. No one web page has done it. I have always submitted results and asked to be notified and have heard bupkiss... I would attache my last crash data, except you guys have 30 crash dumps already. I've tried disabling all addons (Ghostery, ABP and Flash) to no avail. I'm currently running unsynced from my other devices to see if that makes a difference.

I switched because I was tired of IEs pop up and crap, but now I think IE is a Godsend. If you guys can't get this fixed, I'll move on to Chrome!

The damn thing JUST crashed AGAIN trying to Copy and Paste the Help>Troubleshooting info... I'm done.

When I click on a link in my email the computer freezes and I have to close Outlook Express using alt/ctrl/delete.

I am running:_ XP Home version 2002 with service pack 3 Outlook Express for emails Firefox 12.0 - set as default browser

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
