I am unable to access gmail website says cookies are disabled but they are allowed and even specifically enabled for the domains. Still unable to login. Works from chrome and IE

Hello, I'm working on a project to extract the cookies from firefox. I can successfully extract the cookies from cookies.sqlite. Nevertheless only permanent cookies (the ones with expiry date) seem to appear there. If I do a: Select * from moz_cookies where expiry==""; nothing seems to show up.

-> If I have a look at the cookies trough firefox via Preferences -> Privacy -> "remove individual cookies" I can also see the session cookies. Therefore I want to know where these session cookies are stored in firefox (in which file) in ordert to extract them.

PS: I'm using firefox 23.0 UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:23.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/23.0

It's either a Firewall or cookie problem. I can't download the link. WebEx asks me to download with instructions to click the more tab when the link is in my browser. I can not find the more tab. or download the link.

I downloaded an item from the web about a month ago (specifically, an owners manual), but I had my homepages on internet explorer and Firefox hi-jacked by some other homepage ('Wow'). I was able to get rid of the homepages but noticed that the 'Wow' search engine on Firefox would not disappear and could not be removed. I had my tech support (Windstream) run a scan and they were able to detect a couple of minor infections and get rid of them. Could I get rid of the malware by just removing Firefox and re-installing? Any suggestions?

I am unable to login to gmail or rediff mail accounts , as all websites asking to enable cookies, though i have enabled cookies as mentioned in all forums. Are there any more settings to be done or at system level we have to make more changes.please help me to solve thw issue. What cld be other possible causes for these e.g some other softwares on the systems....etc

Every time I enable cookies (set it to custom enable) and I press ok, it didnt change. I go back into options and the information didnt change. I thought that the plugins had something to do with this so I tried browsing in the same site with all of the plugins disabled but that didnt work. Every time I press ok to change the cookies information, it just goes back to default whenever i go back into the options menu.

When I try to open my gmail account, I get this message. I have checked my cookies settings in both firefox and google, and they seemed to be set correctly and are ENABLED. I am not sure what is going on?

Whenever I try to sign into my youtube it goes to a page that says "Your browser's cookie functionality is turned off. Please turn it on.". I came here for help, and so far everything it has said to do has done nothing for me.

I've just acquired a brand new laptop with a windows 8 operating system. FireFox will not let me access my gmail accounts. I have cleared the cookies and cache to the best of my knowledge but it is still giving me the following message...

Prior to 19.0.2, I could specifically decide exactly how a site deposited cookies on my machine. When I visited a 'new' site, FireFox sprung open a pop-up window that allowed me to choose "Block", "Allow for Session" or "Allow". That doesn't appear anymore.

Also, for at least one site, FireFox won't adhere to my chosen handling preference: "Twitter dot com" will not accept the "Allow For Session" designator. I've NEVER allowed any site to set cookies past session's end, and prior to 19.0.2 Twitter had the "Allow for Session" designation. Now, however, Twitter FORCES FireFox to "ALLOW" cookies; when I manually enter "Allow for session" Firefox won't take it! FireFox immediately changes that to "ALLOW" status.

Why was the very nice pop-up cookie handling routine disabled in FireFox 19.0.2, and is there any way to get it back? This new FireFox is making me unhappy.

additionally i do not see a facebook folder in the cookies section. i did not remove it manually. when i try to use cookie manager to add a cookie for FB i get a greyed-out button. i can add fb but cannot enter it.

I have several questions about cookies. I hope it's OK to post them all at once, rather that each one in a separate topic.

1. Cookie Prompt

I would like to configure FF so that whenever a website tried to store a cookie, FF will prompt me with these options:

 a. Always allow.
 b. Allow for this session only.
 c. Never allow.

Is that possible? If so, what are the settings? If not, is there any chance this will be added at some point? This would make life so much easier. What I do now is copy the URL top the clipboard, then open the Privacy setting dialog and paste the URL into the exceptions window.

2. Format of Exceptions

What's the correct format of the entries in the Exceptions dialog? For xyz.com, is it "xyz.com"? "www.xyz.com"? ???

3. Toolbar Icon

Is there a toolbar icon I can add to put the current website in the Exceptions list?

Youtube will play on the small player, even load 1080P on the small player, and full screen works fine, but refuses to resize to the large player that takes up about half the screen. It worked just fine until I had to reinstall Firefox due to some other bug that is now fixed.
