Hello,
I just switched to MacOS Big Sur, and while doing so, I decided to do a clean install. Before doing so, I synced my Firefox accountt, wanting to save all my bookmarks and favorites, etc. Now when I signed in to Firefox after the installation, my data is nowhere to be found, and it seems like the current, clean Firefox with no bookmarks etc. has been synced to my Firefox account. Is there a way to restore my data from a previous sync file? I have a lot of data I need for my projects saved up.
Thank you.

My Firefox issues continue, the App will initiate, but then just sits! No home page loads (Google), but if About is selected it will update! I have followed all the Firefox online troubleshooting advice. I have unloaded the Firefox app via control panel, manually remove remaining folders as instructed, reboot system, and reinstall Firefox. Open Firefox and it just sits won’t even open home page (Tab). Select another page from Bookmarks, same thing won’t load! Try to sign in to Firefox to Sync, nothing happens. Have even used a third party app to remove all traces of Firefox then reboot, reinstall Firefox and the problem continues. I have Firefox working on three other home computers all working perfectly. This inability to run Firefox has been going on now for several weeks. Does the Firefox folks offer a app that removes all traces of a Firefox instantiation like it never was on my computer? Maybe then a fresh install would work again. My other browsers (IE, Chrome, Edge) work fine only Firefox fail to resond. Help! I want my Firefox Browser to work again!!!! Thanks,

Hello.
I'm trying to get Firefox to stop autoplaying videos. Under the autoplay settings in Options, I have selected "Block Audio and Video." Didn't work, videos play muted. After searching for a solution, I found a suggestion to try to set the "media.autoplay.allow-muted" to false in about:config. Nothing changed, they're still playing muted.
I'm specifically referring to videos on Facebook and Twitter.
Anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks.

after discovering the windows sysinternalssuite,.. i've noticed google is keeping like 50 or so pipes running in the background, AFTER i've closed chrome,.. but interestingly, WHILE having firefox open - is there any kind of software i can install in firefox to prevent google from doing whatever it is they're doing,.. presumably sending to themselves illegally, what i'm searching for when using firefox!!
this is a quick cut&paste of the pipes active well after chrome's closure,.. i checked in task manager,..
as a result of the pipelist64.exe command's result (the 1st number is the number of instances, the 2nd max-instances)

Hello, A couple weeks ago my Quickbooks Online software began requiring 2 tier authentication. This feature is disabled within the software settings and does not happen when using a Macbook. According to Quickbooks this issue is due to the browser (Firefox). I didn't change any setting prior to this issue. I did however reset to the default settings but the problem is not resolved. I've searched the Firefox settings for a solution but was unsuccessful. Can anyone help?
Thanks, Kathy

I don't want the two features to conflict or disable each other in some way. Is HTTPS Everywhere by the Electronic Frontier Foundation still necessary?

I am no longer able to add or delete my bookmarks. When I right click delete for a bookmark, nothing happens. When I click to add a bookmark, nothing happens. This still occurs when I start firefox in safe mode. I have tried turning on sync to see if I could edit my bookmarks from my mobile, but the bookmarks failed to sync. I do not have any add-ons. I currently am on a linux OS installed on a macbook. I did not have this problem until the past month or so.
why can't I access my bookmarks after switching off or installing an update on my Mac ?
